I picked up lunch here yesterday. Ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Spring Rolls. The Kung Pao was pretty decent and for South Jersey real good. (Don't ask me why places in Cherry Hill / Voorhees blow at Kung Pao). But the Spring Rolls were a disgrace. They weren't cheap, and they were about the quality of Walmart Brand frozen spring roll cooked in a microwave oven - and i might be doing Walmart a dis-service there. As always, another great experience at Han Dynasty. The staff is so friendly, accommodating to your needs and tastes, knowledgeable enough to provide suggestions based on their own food experiences and based on your desire to try something different/new/spicy/vegetarian, etc. To start, we had (one of my personal faves) the scallion pancakes and the dumplings in oil. Both were amazing!! The pancakes were thin and crisp, so tasty. Dumplings were so fresh they almost melt in your mouth. For our entrees, we wanted to try something different this time. After a quick Q&A sesh with our server about previous orders, thoughts on each dish, getting to know our spice preference... our awesome server suggested we try the Dry Fry Style pot with Beef. So although this dish is technically rated a 7 in their heat index, do not let that fool you. The dish is spicy. The spice comes from all of the Sichuan peppers in that dish. Like, my stomach was on fire, my mind screaming holy hotness on our way home. Without the right spice, sometimes the experience feels incomplete. And to my man, if the food doesn't send streams of sweat flowing down his face it is not enough. I love the heat. It is pretty hard to ignore the glaring 'Best Chinese Restaurant in New Jersey' banner that hangs proudly on the front of this restaurant. At first it seems a tab but braggadocious but it certainly stoked a certain level of curiosity and giving in to that I decided to check this place out. The set up if this place is 'classic' in that it feels like typical Chinese take out place but with better seating. The staff however are so inviting and welcoming that seems to take away from the somewhat lackluster feel of the inside of this restaurant. The food however which is what is the driving force of this restaurant is in no way 'classic'. The sing in the front more than delivers, this is easily the best Chinese food i have had. Got takeout. Large portions. Fried chicken dumplings, dry pot shrimp, and scallion chicken were good. Dan Dan noodles had a weird texture and tasted like flour. Cold sesame noodles were better but had a weird aftertaste. Would order again, but get different dishes. read more

The portions were amazing and the food is delicious. Green tea is complimentary when you dine in. I really like how you can pick your own spice level for each meal. I tried the wontons in chili sauce which was so tasty, the salt and pepper shrimp which came with complimentary white rice, the garlic sauce chicken which was delicious, and the shrimp fried rice. Food was absolutely amazing. First time there so my brother and I tried multiple items. Dan Dan noodles had a little spice and it was amazing. Service wasn't bad. Oh my goodness. This place went from our favorite Chinese restaurant to a living nightmare. Came all the way down from South Brunswick for our 28th wedding anniversary to eat here; hadn't been here in about four years, pre pandemic. This place has turned into a veritable pigsty. Sat next to the window; bugs and dirt all over the window sill, broken shades, spider webs, you name it. Ordered the food, people came in and sat at the table next to us, and yup, you guessed it: They were almost done with their meal before we got ours, which we never did. Have eaten at HD for years and was excited to eat at the NJ location as I am a newer resident in the area. The food is awesome as expected. Cumin tofu is a favorite. Would love to see some more plant based options in the small plates section but other than that the menu is a favorite. It's almost becoming a Sunday ritual dining there. The place is hurting on atmosphere though. A little music and dimmed lighting could go a long way. Either way super excited to have HD here. read more

Oh man. Came here for dinner with friends. I was the newbie. Little did they know I was the little Asian boy at heart. This is the most delicious Asian food I've ever had. In my life. Marc was great. The service was exceptional. Can't even describe it. We had Kung Pao Chicken, lamb with garlic sauce, cold sesame noodles, Dan dan noodles. They even made them with rice noodles. Yikes... The Food for lunch was very good. Dan Dan was well prepared, the Beef in Hot Pot was also good although for the very small portion it was expensive. The issue, the restaurant is in poor shape. The bathrooms are filthy, the dining area floors are caked in dirt in the corners. The booths are torn, dirty, and ripped. I asked if the same owners own it as it was obvious the place is in need of MUCH attention. The service was totally meh. There was only me and one other table taken for lunch. A shame I won't be back because of the dirt and the poor condition the place is in. I'd skip this place for now. Something is very different about the place than in the past. read more

I wish I could give a 3.5 I really enjoy the food from Han Dynasty my favorites are the tofu dry pot and Dan Dan noodles. The flavor and spice has been excellent on all the dishes I've tried. However this particular is not my favorite much prefer the ones in Philly. The aesthetics I could get past but on one occasion when I went with my mom, one of the employees (maybe manager) was being kind of creepy toward her. Nothing over the top but enough to make the dining experience uncomfortable. We went here last night with friends and I don't know what I was expecting, but it exceeded whatever expectations I had! The food is SO good; it's definitely more traditional than your standard Chinese takeout, but the familiar, comfort food flavors are still there. The proteins are high quality and the spice (which you can adjust by telling your server what number you'd like on a scale of 1-10) is flavor, not just extra peppers. As a spicy food lover, I appreciate this (lots of places just put hot sauce in their food for more spice, here, the flavor tastes more built up, not just hot). My husband had the dry pot with pork (spice 10), which was yummy, and I had the hot sauce style with chicken (spice 7) and I thought it was phenomenal. We shared pork fried rice, which was yummy, and got Dan Dan noodles and dumplings for the table. The noodles were probably the highlight of the meal, as they were cooked perfectly and had a really nice flavor (peanutty and slightly spicy). Portion sizes are large, so we are lucky enough to have leftovers for tonight. My only critique is that water glasses instead of the red plastic cups (think Pizza Hut) would be a good investment. I appreciated that there was a a changing table in the bathroom, as we brought our baby. They easily accommodated our need for a booth for his car seat. read more

So I stopped here for take out as this is the Han Dynasty in the burbs that I prefer. Take out service was ok. Food was great as usual. You can read my previous or others' reviews. I tend to order the same thing each time. I have to say that even though I have been here a a number of times, I almost always almost overshoot the entrance to the strip mall it which it is located so I have included a picture of the sign that reads Saw Mill Village. It would help if they cut back the bushes for westbound Route 70 traffic. read more

Family style meals for a reasonable price. The workers there are extremely nice and personable. There are a lot of options for dishes. Would personally recommend the cold noodles and the wontons in chili oil. Also enjoyed the kung pao chicken. Would advise against the cumin beef for those who aren't good with spicy. Has extremely hot peppers in it! Make sure to make a reservation if you have a party of 5 or more. They can get very busy over the weekends! read more

Go there to eat, the food is absolutely delicious. But takeout is generally an effing mess. They never have the order ready on time. I ordered 4 days in advance and paid to make sure I didn't run into any delays and they still didn't have it ready at the designated time. Ham dynasty in olde city is definitely better than this location. The dan dan noodles here are disgusting. Over cooked and just drenched in oil. The dumplings here were soggy and over cooked as well. I brought my Husband for the first time, he expected "chinese take out food" I think and was surprised at the homemade style cooking w fresh ingredients. He was very cranky because he didn't eat all day so I just ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and Dumplings in Chili Sauce to Hold him until I looked over the Menu. Whenever I have someone try a new restaurant, I order various dishes. We ordered Garlic Sauce Shrimp w Onions and Peppers, Hot Dry Pot w Beef, and Spicy Mafu (?) Tofu. The tofu was melt in your mouth. All was delicious, good sharing portions and I love the fact that they always replace dinner plates w clean ones. The service is informative, friendly, and prompt. Food is decent but not the best I had. Good place to satisfy your cravings for spicy sichuan food. I visit here very often and the food is inconsistent, again the flavors are a winner every time. The Cumin lamb is something I would recommend trying, given you like lamb. It has a pretty strong flavor and serves as a nice contrast to the usual meat dishes. The flavor profile of the dish is also a little different from the typical Sichuan dish, and isn't as "ma" (describing the numbing spiciness), providing a nice contrast. Apart from this, the must try (classics) are dry pepper chicken, mapo tofu and spicy beef. read more

Interesting tidbit: I was sick with the flu last month, and we picked up some Wonton Soup to go. I was tired of Chicken soup from Whole Foods, what can I say. You know something? I think the Wonton Soup sped up my recovery. Soothed my throat, eased the cough and cleared my sinuses. I'm no doctor, and certainly won't proclaim guaranteed healing qualities.....but I will say Han's Wonton Soup will be the 2nd thing I buy next time I'm sick, right after Advil. Han Dynasty has some great Chinese cuisine. This location has tons of parking, great service and is BYOB.... 5 stars. Han Dynasty while very tasty is also extremely affordable, great value. I came here Friday night with friends around 6:30. It was a nice place. It was not crowded at first but soon it was filled with people. It is popular. I got the dry fry pork. It was pretty good! I like the spice level to it. I am not sure if I get it next time. I like the garlic sauce style my friend had. The kung pao style is good too. The food came out really fast. Service was good.
