I stayed here for two weeks after leaving another hotel because it wasn't very accommodating. The staff here was very friendly, very helpful and courteous. They offered a free breakfast buffet every morning. 100 times better than the previous hotel I stayed at. The rooms were very clean. The beds were moderately hard not as soft as I would've liked. But the rooms were comfortable. 55 inch television that I was able to hook my Xbox and use my apps and play my games. The air conditioner worked amazingly well. It was quiet and I was able to maintain a temperature of 61°. They have a filtered water distribution machine that makes it nice to fill big bottles. The refrigerator stayed nice and cold the whole time. And free ice was available when I needed it. My only complaint was the swimming pool. It wasn't open the first four days. When it did open, the temperature in the pool was hot. So hot that it was i uncomfortable. Do we even get in the water. I mentioned this to the staff at the front desk and they said they would say something to maintenance about it. Unfortunately the water continued to be hot. Except for the day after we had torrential downfall of rain. The pool felt very refreshing that day. Unfortunately, again the next day back to hot hot hot. Overall a great stay. I'm sure they'll get their pool system figured out as it was just opening up for the season when I stayed. A big thank you to the staff for making my stay very comfortable and welcoming. read more

Hampton Inn York - Beautiful pool very clean unfortunately they had the heater on way too hot while I was there. - Hotels Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

my stay here was actually pretty enjoyable. when i was checking in, the staff was friendly. no issues there. when i got to my room, it was clean and pretty spacious. i liked that the room had a mini fridge AND a microwave (you don't see that too often anymore). the bathroom was clean. and the king bed was pretty comfy. i slept good lol. they had one of the better continental breakfasts that i've had. and the lady handling breakfast was awesome. super sweet. i would most definitely stay here again if i had to visit York again read more

This was a rather pleasant stay! Hotel is in a good location. Our stay was quiet, never heard anyone in the hallways or next door. Room was comfortable. I enjoyed having a loveseat in our room. Everything was quite clean. Loved having a decent sized fridge and microwave in our room. The bed was on the firm side, but not super uncomfortable. The front desk staff were all super nice! Very accommodating and incredibly polite! The gym was small, but very usable. The breakfast area was ok. Options were waffles, scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, redskin potatoes, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, assorted breads, cereal, assorted pastries. Guests were taking breakfast items faster than staff could keep up with. As far as taste, the scrambled eggs were basic. The turkey bacon was like chewing jerky. Not very good at all. Overall, just ok. I would absolutely stay here again though if I find myself in the area!!l Very comfortable stay! read more

Management has a horrible attitude and will not help you. Do not book any room blocks here, they will never respond to you and when they do, they are very confrontational and condescending. read more

We had a great time here! We stayed at the hotel two nights and we all had a nice time. The staff was all so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice. Bathrooms were large. We had two adjoining rooms one had a king the other two. Queens. It was perfect. We enjoyed a day at the pool. We were sooo pleased it was an outdoor pool and we could relax in the sun by the pool as it was hot hot hot. We definitely plan to stay here again even if its a couple nights. It was also mice to walk over to texas roadhouse. read more

This Hampton Inn was clean but very dated and just worn out. Also, this area smells overwhelmingly of sewage/sulphur at night. We found many news stories debating if it was the water treatment plant or the paper factory. There is also a warning not to drink the water. Our room was original and I suspect the mattress was too as the side closest to the bathroom was sagging and uncomfortable. I slept on the high side but rolled to the gully all night. The bathroom had a kindergarten heigh toilet and the tub was stained brown on the bottom which I would think is due to the water and years of scrubbing when it really needs to be re-glazed. For $180 a night, I would expect better. read more

We have been to York many times over the last few years to visit family and we usually go for the low budget places but this time we selected this one because we wanted a day outside at the pool. The traditional Hampton Inn breakfast was not available but we knew that ahead of time. The check in process was flawless. The room was clean and comfortable. And the pool? We sat out there for breakfast....which turned into dinner pizza delivery. All in all, a perfect mini vacation. read more

Hotel is easy to get to off Rt 30 and next to Texas Roadhouse restaurant and the York Galleria mall and minutes from downtown York. Hotel common areas are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Plenty of outlets for your electronics. Standard bathroom amenities, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hair dryer. Water pressure and temp. excellent. Towels large enough. Bed comfortable with both firm and soft pillows. AC/Heat unit worked very well & not overly noisy. TV had plenty of channels. In-room microwave, mini-fridge & coffee maker. read more

Every staff member we interacted with was wonderful, and the rooms were really nice (ours smelled a bit musty, but I'm sure if we had said something they would have been happy to get us a new room). I loved the bathroom, it was actually nice and big unlike most hotel bathrooms, with plenty of counter space and mirrors. We were a little disappointed it had an outdoor pool so we couldn't swim (it was too cold), but the fitness room looked nice. My favorite thing about the hotel was the extensive seating area in the lobby - I hate when hotels don't have a common area to sit and hang out, but they have a big comfortable couch and lots of tables and chairs downstairs. read more

I have had a very pleasant experience at all other Hampton Inns I have stayed at, but this hotel changed my opinion. Upon arrival I noticed the hotel was very outdated and the staff was extremely rude. My room was missing a lamp that included a charging port on the nightstand and was missing a coffee table. The shampoo in the shower was out, so I had to use shower gel to wash my hair. While I was asleep at 9AM, a housekeeper violently banged on my door then proceeded to open the door, despite my request for late a checkout at 1:30PM, 5 hours later. When I asked a for something or a question at the front desk, they seemed extremely bothered to be helping me. When I asked for utensils during breakfast the lady told me "Don't take too many we are running low." That is ridiculous to say to a paying customer! I will make that I never stay at this establishment when traveling to York ever again! read more

Hey again I stayed there last night and I was very happy with the room. Not the happiest why I had to get a hotel room but alas that's a whole other story. The king size bed was great and the room was clean. My wife and son really were comfortable. The breakfast was good as well and the chicken apple sausage was good as well my son ate all three of them. Thanks again guys and I appreciate the hospitality. Cheers read more

****3.75**** York is a pretty small town, so there aren't many choices for decent hotels. I have stayed here twice now and I think it's A-OK. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the price is ok, (120/night for king size bed). Here are my two dings, first, there is no room service. Which kinda sucks if you're not in the mood to explore, but on the other hand it does force you to explore. The weird thing is that they do have a free complimentary breakfast though. It's your typical continental fare and they have little to-go baggies with a bagel or some yogurt. They also always have fresh fruit and coffee. So nice little touches here and there. My other gripe is that their remote has no sleep timer. I need a sleep timer! :) read more

Nice place. Nice staff. GOOD PRICING FOR WHAT YOU GET. Breakfast exceeds basic continental. There's great waffle makers, flavored coffee creamers, hot foods, fresh fruits, cereals hot/cold, pastries and more. Rooms are roomy enough. Beds super comfy. read more

$125 for 2. Nice, quiet, clean, safe, comfy bed, lots of tv channels, free parking, free internet, and located right off route 30. It is so quiet, that I forget how close route 30 is to the hotel. Red Robin restaurant, a steakhouse restaurant, and a mall within walking distance. Suite was very nice. Bedroom had a TV and a separate living room with a TV, couch, 2 chairs, microwave and small refrigerator. We had a large moving truck and had no problems maneuvering the parking lot. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

Thank you Hampton Inn-York. My daughter's basketball team visited York for a tournament. I was excited to get here after I worked with CAROLYN, in group sales to secure two of our teams accommodations. The process for group reservations was easy to establish and even easier for each family to reserve. She was an absolute customer service professional. You have established a high standard for others to live up to. Great service did not stop there. REBEKAH, the friendly, highly accommodating jewel you meet at check-in, our entire team loved you. Thank you for ensuring we felt welcomed, it felt like she took pride in her job and really was happy to see me. (lol) The rooms were very clean and smelled great. Everything in the room was up to date with plenty of fresh towels. The beds were heavenly and sheets nice and crisp. Breakfast the next morning was HOT and inviting compared to most. Thank you Hampton Inn - York for making this a great experience for our team family. 100% read more

I spent way too much time at this hotel, this town for that matter. As Jimena noted there are not too many options in York and this one is alright. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a Texas roadhouse across the parking lot which is convenient. The gym is tiny with no weights, just two or three cardio machines. There is a wingate that is new, but I have a feeling that place won't stay nice very long. Don't even think about staying at the Yorktown downtown, it is old and smelly. read more

The place is clean and the staff are nice, however there was a rather large white spider in the lobby bathroom and if you're planning on sleeping on a pullout mattress, DONT. It was hands down the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever needed to sleep on and I'm not picky. read more

This was the host hotel for my sister's wedding, and I think everyone in the group had a pleasant stay. It's your standard Hampton Inn, which means comfort with little perks like free cookies in the lobby, a nice fitness room and USB chargers next to your bed. I was impressed that they even let me get food from the breakfast bar at 5:20- 40 minutes before they were technically supposed to open. It's right beside a decent-looking mall, but there really aren't any interesting dining options closeby. There's is a Sheetz down the street, which I can never resist. read more

Conveniently located in York. The hotel is small, but has all that you need for an overnight or couple night stay. We stayed here overnight. The rooms are clean, amenities are decent for our stay. The have a coffee machine and small refrigerator. The hotel offers a continental breakfast--eggs, sausage patties, bread, bagel, yogurt, cereal, milk and a few other items--hot drinks and juice too. They also have a washer and 2 dryers. $1.50 per wash and per dry. There is only 1 washer. They're locate in the gym---a small gym. Staff are friendly. Aloha. read more

Our first time in PA and Hampton Inn and I loved it. Breakfast buffet every morning was decent. 24/7 Iced tea, iced water, hot tea and coffee in the lobby. Staff were nice. There's a microwave and a mini ref in the room. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were Neutrogena. The beds were comfortable. Ample parking. And having Texas Roadhouse right across was such a PLUS. I would definitely stay at Hampton Inn York again. read more

Perfect hotel for wedding guests. $99 a night, comfortable rooms, complimentary hot/cold breakfast, friendly staff, pool, and a small gym. I've stayed here numerous times since 2005 and I've never had any problems. The staff was always funny and polite, and the rooms were always quiet and clean. The other reviews are correct that York is a small town. However, the Texas Roadhouse next door will deliver to your room, everything you need is on Market Street, and the complimentary breakfast is better than nothing! I would not be afraid to stay here again in the future. read more

Reserve at your own Risk. Made a 2 night reservation well in advance. We weren't going to make the first night so called two days in advance to let them know we wouldnt check in until the second night. They told us we would be charged for both but we would be able to check in on the second night. Needless to say, after driving 3 hours with two tired and hungry kids the hotel had given away our room. While the front desk was friendly enough, and understood our angst, if you can't trust a hotel to honor a reservation then really What's the point?!? read more

This hotel was great. We stayed here for three nights. We originally wanted to stay in the heart of Lancaster but there were no hotels available. The location was right on the mall, directly across from Boscov's. We were also very close to the Texas Roadhouse. That place was amazing! Great steaks!! The pool was outside. It was pretty small though. The rooms were new and clean. The breakfast was great, we also enjoyed having unlimited coffee from the lobby. My family must of had 15 cups through out the stay. They also had cookies in the lobby. read more

Clean, Modern, Great Service. Only one problem... They almost always sell out. If you have the chance, you won't be disappointed.

I have been a recurrent guest at this Hampton Inn since the mid 90's but my recent stay at this hotel has left quite a bitter taste in my mouth. Before I left my room for the day after my first night there, I had placed my new prescription glasses with the designer frames on the sitting area desk along with a 5.00 dollar tip for Housekeeping. Upon my return that evening, I noticed that both my glasses and the money were gone from the desk. I immediately informed someone at the front desk but was told that I will have to speak to the Housekeeping Supervisor in the morning as everyone had gone home for the evening. The next morning, I spoke to the Assistant General Manager (Laura Hagelbout) who along with the person who actually cleaned the room the prior day, came to my room to look for the missing item . In order to be absolutely certain that I did not make a mistake, I checked and re-checked everywhere in my suitcase for my missing glasses. After all that, the manager informed me that she had the utmost confidence in her staff and that there has never been a problem with that particular housekeeping staff. Much to my dismay, she chose to believe her staff. All i know is that my glasses were removed from my room and I was not the one who removed them. While this is not about the money (even though my glasses were around 500 dollars), this is about principle - a theft had taken place and everyone at this hotel chose to do nothing about it. As a result, I would NEVER stay at this hotel ever again as I do not trust the integrity of the management and staff of this hotel; no matter how friendly and polite they all appear to be. read more

My family and I visited the Hampton 2 years ago and have been members with the Hilton for the past 23 years. The last time we were here we were very pleased with the room and the service from the members of staff. This year was just terrible. We are on October half-term from a very prestigious boarding school. The ceiling in our room started leaking. We reported it to the receptionist. We went out for dinner and when we came back he said that the problem was fixed. When we were getting ready to go to bed, I felt like I was suffocating. We tried to turn the AC on but little to nothing was coming out. My mum went back down to the receptionist and explained to him that my brother and I found it hard to breathe due to the lack of air in the room. The receptionist told my mom that the problem had been fixed and to not worry about your kids, they're not going to die. My mum was clearly upset by this comment as the receptionist showed a lack of compassion. My mum was very worried and panicked for the safety of my brother and I's life. She answered him with " If anything happens to my kids I will burn the hotel" ( a figure of expression). As we are from Australia this is accepted in Australia and we had no intention of threatening the hotel. The next day the general manager Victoria Burnham was very rude to my mother because of the simple fact that we complained about the leaking and the lack of air in the room. She said that if we complained any further she would kick us out of the hotel. We called the head office and explained the situation and they were very apologetic. The same day the ceiling started leaking again and the hotel corridor (Level 4) was being painted. No warning was issued to the guests and the smell was overwhelming. As it happens, 2 members in my family are asthmatic. The smell of the paint made it hard for them to breathe in the corridor. Again we called the head office and they arranged for us to move rooms. We got moved to room to 203. Victoria Burnham then threatened us that if we complained about anything, she would call the police on my mother and kick us out of the hotel. As being a 13 year old girl, having a woman say that to my mother is shocking and I was scared of Victoria. The second day we were in our new room we wanted to have a shower. There was no hot water. We reported it to reception which informed us that we will be kicked out of the hotel. Victoria ordered the receptionist to call the police on my family. Hours passed and the police came. My brother and I was crying and shaking at the fact that this woman had called the police on my family. The police explained that we had to leave the hotel or he will arrest my mother for threatening the hotel. The police took into consideration the feeling of my brother and I and was very kind and tried to comfort us. Victoria obviously didn't think about the feelings my brother and I were going through as we had to witness this terrifying event. We agreed to move but this is an unforgettable experience. As a general manager, Victoria didn't handle the situation which led me to think that she does not have the capability to handle criticism from guests. As it was Halloween the hotel was handing out goody bags to everyone. She told her staff not to give us one which made us feel left out. I am sure that my brother and I will have nightmare for years to come. read more
