I ended up staying here again, and it was a much smoother experience than the previous stay. The room was really nice, pool was open and large so it didn't feel crowded (although it's like on the second floor which isn't obvious with signage). There were towel and the hot tub was relaxing. So far so good. Staff were friendly at check in, and hotel is clean. Room is super clean and has some nice amenities, including a huge tv, mini fridge, microwave, and in the bathroom and mirror with a Bluetooth speaker inside. Me and my daughter were happy and surprised because we never seen a mirror like this one- so cool. They also have shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers in the bathroom for guests- which is good cause I'm pretty sure I forgot to pack mine. I will update once we go to the pool which my daughter is dragging me to. They also have a whirlpool hot tub which I'm looking forward to to help my back and leg that is bothered by that long trip from NE Philly. Update: went to the pool and it was so much fun! Enjoyed the whirlpool hot tub felt amazing and was just what I needed. My daughter had fun swimming in the pool, a bit too cold for me though. They have heaters inside the pool area too. Four Points by Sheraton York is easy enough to find, being almost directly off of Interstate 83, and has plenty of parking. We needed a hotel due to a last-minute change of plans, and was able to book here with no problems using Marriott rewards points. Hotel is very modern looking and was renovated in 2020. Check-in was smooth without problems. One thing to be aware of, there is no complimentary breakfast, but the hotel does have an on-site restaurant. Our room was clearly aimed at business travelers and surprisingly, had a window that could open. Room had a half carpeted/half wood floor and the beds were comfortable. TV was larger than average. Room also had a full-size mini fridge with microwave. No traditional chest of drawers but instead had cubby holes. Bathroom had some sort of smart mirror that was cool, along with plenty of hot water, and a shower head that delivered enough pressure. Minor problems with the room included not having enough towels for a room with two beds. The shower drain seemed to be slow at a times. Our rooms door at times needed an extra tug to be fully closed, which was perhaps the worst problems with the room. While we did not use them, the fitness center and pool looked nice. There is also event space on the first floor. Our stay here, if we paid out of pocket, would have been in the mid-$100 range, and that seems about right. We did have an unusual charge from the hotel of $29.97 which we got corrected via email. Overall, a very positive stay considering our late booking, and would consider staying here again. read more

Friendly staff, clean rooms, decent menu when you arrive late and just want something to eat... Surprisingly good tasting. Not what we expected for hotel bar food. Recommend the pastrami on rye for sure. The bar chairs are impossibly large, but comfortable. My wife and I could sit in one cozy, but comfortably. Very friendly bar tenders and the patrons enjoy the social nature of the bar area as a result. My wife and I met Karen, had dinner at the bar and great conversation with her resulting in a very pleasant close to an evening at the hotel bar. Very comfortable bed. That's one thing that is consistent across Marriotts and makes a huge difference to my wife and me. Let's face it, you come to a hotel to largely sleep and we did so solidly in the quiet dark comfortable king size bed. The king suite is roomy, two people are not constantly bumping into each other during the evening or morning routine. The room could sleep two parents and two kids easily. Bathrooms are decent, they have "smart mirrors" with embedded display and Bluetooth hookup for audio. I rather enjoy such. The bathroom is a bit tight though; a "one butt bathroom" as we say in our family's gauge of room measurements. It would have been nice to have an "outside sink" for ladies that require lots of "mirror time". The breakfast is $10 each and similar to what you find as the complementary breakfast in other Marriott's. $10 is not much but when we visited, the scrambled eggs were in a soup of yellow water, the sausage links were strangely dusty in your mouth, no napkins anywhere. The service was sub-par and fairly "in your face" about providing cash vs charging to the room or paying with credit card. Hovering over me with a "I need you to sign this" demand earns you a scratch through the tip. Over all, if you avoid the breakfast your stay will be pleasant at this hotel. As it is, I removed a star and we are now headed to a Starbucks to get a decent coffee and edible eggs. As a Bonvoy Gold member, they were happy to provide an upgrade. Not all Marriotts honor the rewards relationship‍. It appears that the hotel was remodeled not too long ago. They did a decent job within a tight budget. All the hotels in the Lancaster / Hershey are fairly overpriced. This one was reasonably priced Marriott in the area. Just avoid the breakfast! read more

Four Points knowingly rented us a room leaking water through the bathroom ceiling and wall. Signs of previous repairs are apparent. Scrape marks from previous repair attempts and fresh coats of paint You can hear the water dripping and there is no way to tell if it is fresh water or sewage. I phoned the front desk for help and the woman tells me there is no maintenance person at the hotel. She also refused to give us another room. This person had absolutely no concern about our issue or the health concerns for my family and our two children. The combination of location and value for a single night on the road motivated us to select this Four Points by Sheraton in York, PA. It was mostly renovated, likely in the mid 2010s. The older pieces are worn. Carpet in the bedroom remained from the past and stopped at the end of the beds where there was a transition to flooring that's easier to clean. The carpet was fraying at the transition point. No fan in the bathroom. Power switch for high tech mirror may have replaced it. Tub (most hotels have eliminated tubs due to slip, trip & fall hazard), which is why i thought Reno was 2010s. Rust on pipe headed to shower. Excellent shower - controls well marked, many selections for water stream. TV recognized our Marriott status. Front desk did not. Bar open to 11, staffed by an experienced lady who knew how to manage the diverse patrons without getting into trouble (No thanks, that's against the rules). Everyone seemed to have a coupon for breakfast except us - adequate breakfast buffet. Single server occasionally had help from front desk person and was busy all the time and everything was very clean. At $10, a great value even paying out of pocket. Wildly diverse fellow guests - multiple foreign languages. One bus in the parking lot overnight. read more

Nice hotel to stay in for the night while on a short trip. I was able to check in early at my requested time and rest after a long early morning flight and drive. The rooms aren't really sound proof so you can hear some conversations in the hallway and maybe in the next room if it's too quiet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting. read more

Yes, I did call the front desk from my cell phone (because the room phone didn't work) and ask the front desk to please address, no, it did nothing to help the situation. Came the next day to claim my reservation with all 5 kids in the car at 11:30 as they said i was all set and confirmed. Negative!!! The person in the morning didn't put me down for a room. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to someone traveling from a far. The hotel for a one bedroom I paid $250 for a one night stay. When you arrive they make you pay another deposit and don't tell you beforehand. When we got to the room everything was clean until we went into the bathroom. The shower was broken and spraying water onto the floor. The toilet paper holder was broke and fell on the floor when we tried to grab from it. The guy at the front desk was not helpful at all. They also do not give complimentary breakfast. You have to pay for everything inside the place. read more

I stay at this hotel a few times a week. Mainly for the reason it is one of the few that allows streaming apps. Not once but twice the have double charged me for a room. The first time they actually triple charged me. The first time I let it slide as a fluke accident. This second time the manager had attitude with me over it. Telling me he doesn't have to tell customers what and how much he is charging your card. Where in the world doesn't tell you a total before running your card? There credit card machine doesn't display the price on it either. They tell you to put your card in for incidentals and next thing you know you got a whole new charge. What if I wasn't a check my banking app person? I wonder how many people they get away with this with?! Now AGAIN I have to wait 3 to 5 business days to get a refund of money you should never have taken. Considering a was staying multiple days a week. I hope that $113 was worth losing me and my hundreds a week. read more

We stayed at this hotel for a basketball tournament and loved the location. The hotel has been remodeled and our room with two queen beds was very nice. My daughter especially liked the bathroom mirror which displays the date, time, temperature, and has Bluetooth capability. The staff was very friendly and managed to provide us with tickets to the local baseball team, the York Revolution, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Alma and Jenn were both very helpful when we needed them as was everyone else. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you will be in York or the surrounding area. read more

Slipped twice in the bath tub; luckily grabbed the rail. Colleague slipped once even after I told her the incident on my first night. Told a staff working there. No daily cleaning service unless requested. During the 4 night stay, tissue Kleenex was low from the first night. No body lotion provided; shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are in dispenser over the tub. Who has time to tell to fill it up when you are in the shower when no one checks it every day or other day regularly? No complimentary breakfast as advertised, no restaurant service on premises. We have stayed here a couple times. Disappointing. No shampoo in the room, (the morning receptionist was put off by my request for some) another time no soap. Had 3 decaf coffee pods, no regular. Went to lobby at 8:00 am and no coffee made. Had to request a different iron after the first one left water spilled on work shirt. The rooms with adjoining doors are the worse though. You can hear everything! Last time it was a zoom call, heard word for word. This time a actual room party. We got minimum sleep. The bar and food is decent, nice staff there. read more
