Complimentary Breakfast. The eggs had sausage, peppers, and cheesy deliciousness.
    Amanda M.

This was my first visit to this location, and I was pleasantly surprised by every interaction I made. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly face (wish I could remember her name), she was still training so wasn't able to check us in, however, she kept us entertained during the few seconds it took the Front Desk Guest Services Agent to come out from the office. Check-in was extremely smooth, we were thanked for being part of Hilton Honors, and they were able to accommodate the comments I'd made as part of our reservation (light sleeper, away from the elevator). We grabbed our waters & a couple delicious warm/fresh cookies, and headed to our room. Room 323 - The room was so nice, I understand the hotel is still new, but the furnishings chosen were above what I anticipated from the Hampton Inn. The shared sliding ("barn-style") door for the closet/bathroom rubs metal in one spot (isn't a smooth), but is a nice space saver. The window faces over the back parking lot and a field (great sunrise spot - and quiet). The mattress was firm (how we like it), the linens clean, with plenty of pillows to pick from & gave us a great night sleep. I loved the walk-in shower! Instant hot water, great flow, and laid out well. Plenty of tv channels to frustrate you, plus a great Wifi connection. Breakfast - We only had a one night stay, but the Friday morning that we were there they served one of the best hotel complimentary breakfasts I've had. Cereals/oatmeals/fruit/yogurt/pastries (they could use more bananas), Waffle Bar (with great toppings), Hot bar (during our stay they had Cheesy Eggs with peppers, potatoes, and flour tortillas), a variety of juices, and fresh/hot coffee. Check-out was a breeze - extremely friend guest services agent(s). If our travels bring us back to West Plains, we'll be looking forward to staying here again!

The dreaded room 203 Even the managers key wouldn't open. 4 trips to the desk!!!!

I checked in early to room 203, but went into town. I returned at 11 pm, the key doesn't work. Night manager goofy and lazy. Made 3 trips from room to desk, asked her to open room and manager key isn't working either. She left me in hallway for 25 minutes to find another room. This is outrageous!!!

Home away from home. Great clean hotel, nice staff, comfy accommodations. If you need a bath, get the 2 queens as king rooms have showers.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!…read more Reason #1: Upon arrival their "tap to pay" card reader did not work twice for incidentals. Instead of calling me (like they stated they would) when resolved I was forced to come to the front desk being locked out of my room 3 times. The third time my card was on hold (from California,) and I had to call to get it resolved. While on the phone outside resolving the male Manager started screaming at me for it taking longer than "5 minutes," and announcing to the parking lot that my card was "declined." It was resolved 2 mins later, and zero apologies were given. Reason #2: Their room door key reader is broken, and/or extremely temperamental. I've had to get a new key now 8 times, and when I walk my dogs I leave my door cracked and risk the safety of my belongings to avoid constantly getting let into my room. The male manager eventually told me to leave it away from my phone or a credit card... I did, still needed let in. Reason #3: I went to a local store to get some necessities only to return to a voicemail by the female owner (see attached) telling me that my dogs are no longer ESA animals, and started to harass me the moment I entered the hotel. The Manager fails to realize that ESA animals are determined by a Mental Health Professional, and not whether or not they're left in a hotel room. Them barking is rare, and if so, is solely separation anxiety following my recent divorce. Reason #4: The Owners live in the hotel, and they watch your every move, and they make you sign and initial an agreement that they do not give you a copy of to have. I have had my window looked in while the grass was being mowed by the male owner, yelled at in the parking lot while the male owner played catch with his daughter, a voicemail from the female owner medically informing me I know longer have ESA animals, and I continuously hear them talking in another language outside my window and room door. Reason #5: See the photos attached. This place is not worth your money. Their card reader and room door entries don't work, the family that lives there will watch and harass you, the breakfast is half cooked "biscuits," and watery gravy, damages all over the rooms not shown in the photos, they'll make you sign and initial an agreement they do not give you a copy of, and if you reserve in person like they'll insist they will take your money.

I won't spend a lot of time on this because it's a budget hotel, and it's honestly difficult to…read morefind things to highlight. The room is pretty spartan with a queen bed, small desk, tv, microwave, and mini-fridge. It was a bit stuffy when I got to my room on the second floor (no elevator), so I turned on the AC. It was a bit louder than expected, but not bad. The bed was clean when I pulled back the blankets to inspect it, but the frame on which the mattress sat was square tube steel with springs supporting the mattress. VERY SQUEAKY when I sat on it! I could hear the bed in the adjoining room squeak a bit when they crawled in bed later that night. The walls are kind of thin too. No bed bugs though! I didn't trust the mini-fridge. It was turned off, and had a broken foot so it rocked from side to side. I didn't turn it on. The owners were nice the one time I saw them upon check-in.

I've got to say, initially I was mortified that I booked this place online without first reading…read morethe Yelp reviews. To my amazement, this is perhaps by far one of the cleanest Inns, I've stayed. Like I've always said, I normally don't do "inns and lodges" for personal enjoyment but when you're contracted with the federal government for business, you try to stay within the allowable GSA rates for hotels....hence these types of places. They are oftentimes hit or miss but it's definitely good for budgets when you find a good clean one. Aside from the bed being too hard for me, the only problem I had that was quickly rectified was the third party reservation/billing system. Be sure to check your reservation thoroughly before booking because the front desk will give you some slack for canceling. I was fortunate that the front desk manager was amenable to canceling the future reservation and allowed me to extend for the next day. I made the mistake of not checking the dates while booking at 3am and it caused an issue. Being human, as we all are or should be, we're prone to error and there should be room for error. Anyway, like I said, it was rectified with some slack but nonetheless fixed. The cleaning staff are super friendly and nice....cant really say that so much for the front desk folks. Perhaps they ought to change roles. Let the cleaning staff man the front desk and the clerks clean the room....perhaps it will humble them.

For the money it's not too terrible, but there are a lot of things that could be better. I'm…read morewriting this review mainly because THE BREAKFAST HERE IS HORRID. They don't serve eggs! You get "sausage" which is almost white, undercooked frozen potatoes, and biscuits & gravy. It's all carbs, except for the scary-looking sausage links. Or I guess they have low-fat yogurt, sweet breads, or waffles. Basically if you need anything with protein in the morning, you'll probably need to look elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I had to come back to the desk. The other guests staying at the hotel were giving us looks that gave us a very uncomfortable feeling. When I got into the room, only one light worked (two after I plugged a lamp in) and the tv and refrigerator were both unplugged as well. No art on the walls, only hooks to hang art. And a single flat head screw lying on the bed. Only stayed in the (very cold) room for about 20 minutes and made my way back to the desk where the amazing staff refunded me with no questions asked.

Seriously, I think this is a meth house or some sort of illegal community people. People live here and they look so scary. Not exaggerating, giving you a warning. Nothing is safe about this place. Not the same on their website ot Google reviews. The front looks nice but wait til you go in your room. Everything is filthy. The door is so scary like the ones you see in the movies. Sketchy ass place. Save your money and go to Quality Inn or other hotels nearby. We've stayed here maybe for 30mins lol and just scared for our lives! The door does not seem to be safe even if it's locked or not. The bed literally has a screw laying on top of the blanket lol. The pillows got stains. The old TV has some sticky stuff that I don't even want to find out what. The bathroom is filthy and also the carpet. I'm thinking the bed has bugs. Didn't risk sleeping, sitting, and taking a shower as well in the bathroom is risky. Don't dare. People looks scary. They look at you cos they all just be hanging outside their rooms or the common area. Didn't risk staying there and something bad happens. Stay away!!! I guess the one star is for the staff, they refunded our money. Other than that, don't waste your time. My review and bad experience is on my Youtube channel.
