We love Sunburst! We come every year and say for a week at the Lodge house. They are super family friendly and the grounds are great for riding on your 4 wheelers! Amy & Justin rock! They are running a great business!

Stayed this past weekend, it was a bit chilly but we survived. The campsites are big and well maintained while the bathroom facilities are quite nice for a campground. The owners are very pleasant a laid back. I will be returning when the weather is warmer for a float and a dip in the river.

Use to be the best river experience I had on the beautiful river. Don't know what happened. Personal life issues or what but if you are in a customer service business and treat people like I saw happening. Maybe you should find another career choice. Hate to say it ,but after 15 years of floating the North Fork of the White river it looks like it's time to find a new river. read more

Nice accommodations for a large group. The airplane hanger fit 29 of us perfectly. Each room had its own ac unit and beds to sleep 4-5. The kitchen area and bathrooms with showers were a nice addition. The float was organized and took us a little longer than advertised since we stopped a few times along the way. The rafts were aired up and the area was very clean. The clear water was cold and refreshing for the hot day. We didn't get a lot of photos since we enjoyed the moment. We will be back. read more

Used to go here as a kid. Came back after years with my family. To start with there is NO shade. Then as we left on our rafts they told us "enjoy". Never told us where we were supposed to get out at. Then because we went to far, they charged us $20 per raft. They told us that we should have known where to get out. Then said we should have went to the shop to ask where we were supposed to get out at instead of thinking that the person giving us the rafts would tell us. Just an overall bad experience. read more

Took my young kids on Labor Day weekend in 2014 and had a great time! Great campground, family atmosphere. No rowdies the two nights we were there! The float was wonderful and we had perfect weather. The staff was wonderful, helpful and nice and easy to work with. We will be coming back soon! read more

Sunburst Ranch is now under new ownership, not family friendly, unprofessional and potentially unsafe. Until recently, I had good experiences with Sunburst Ranch. However, new owners are now running the place and it is not the same as it used to be. This is no longer a family friendly environment and from my experience, a potentially unsafe environment. I had a legitimate request for a refund. They didn't even consider my request but instead wanted to argue which escalated with them using profanity, calling me vulgar names and told me to shut my ____ mouth or he'll shut it for me. These people seem nice enough when they're taking your money but if something goes wrong, don't expect them to do the right thing...instead you might be physically assaulted. If you're reading these reviews because you're considering using Sunburst Ranch for the first time or maybe haven't used them in a few years, please be cautious...especially if you have young kids. If you're comfortable with bad service, no refunds, insults, profanity and fist fights then I guess you'll feel right at home here. Otherwise, I would suggest going elsewhere. I hope this helps as you make your decision to do business here or not. read more
A friend organized a camping/canoeing trip to Sunburst Ranch and the North Fork River. They had been using this campground for years and we had a good time. Even though it was crazy hot the weekend we went, the campground was full and almost had a tailgate or tent village feel to it. The entire campground is long and narrow, right along the river, in an open field setting. If you are accustomed to more secluded spots in the woods, you may not like this. I do like the quieter camping with fewer people, and more space between the sites, but since I was with a big group, it didn't bother me this time. Since it seems there were a lot of large groups, it looks like each site ran into the next one. We used the sites with some electricity, but they also have cabins with A/C. We were close to the indoor bathroom (they also have johnny on the spots throughout the area) and showers, so that was convenient for us. The indoor bathroom/shower house is a nice facility and fairly clean (as clean as you can be in a campground). The shower was hot and I don't remember anyone saying they ever had to wait in line even though it was a busy weekend. Our pick up for the canoe trip was early (which I would prefer, rather than them being late). Employees and owners at the facility are very helpful and and cheery. One of the owners came through when there was a severe thunderstorm blowing through to advise us to take cover. There is a store that has some last minute camping/canoeing items. It seems you can also schedule to order breakfast and dinner, but we didn't do that. They also sell bags of ice for $1.50 and barrels of firewood for $10.00. Overall we had a really good experience here. read more

We had a great time at Sunburst Ranch. We floated the upper float the first day and the lower float the second. The owners are friendly and great to work with. The river is beautiful! My kids had never been on a float trip and now want to make it an annual trip. We will be going back. read more
