I've got to say, initially I was mortified that I booked this place online without first reading the Yelp reviews. To my amazement, this is perhaps by far one of the cleanest Inns, I've stayed. Like I've always said, I normally don't do "inns and lodges" for personal enjoyment but when you're contracted with the federal government for business, you try to stay within the allowable GSA rates for hotels....hence these types of places. They are oftentimes hit or miss but it's definitely good for budgets when you find a good clean one. Aside from the bed being too hard for me, the only problem I had that was quickly rectified was the third party reservation/billing system. Be sure to check your reservation thoroughly before booking because the front desk will give you some slack for canceling. I was fortunate that the front desk manager was amenable to canceling the future reservation and allowed me to extend for the next day. I made the mistake of not checking the dates while booking at 3am and it caused an issue. Being human, as we all are or should be, we're prone to error and there should be room for error. Anyway, like I said, it was rectified with some slack but nonetheless fixed. The cleaning staff are super friendly and nice....cant really say that so much for the front desk folks. Perhaps they ought to change roles. Let the cleaning staff man the front desk and the clerks clean the room....perhaps it will humble them. read more

For the money it's not too terrible, but there are a lot of things that could be better. I'm writing this review mainly because THE BREAKFAST HERE IS HORRID. They don't serve eggs! You get "sausage" which is almost white, undercooked frozen potatoes, and biscuits & gravy. It's all carbs, except for the scary-looking sausage links. Or I guess they have low-fat yogurt, sweet breads, or waffles. Basically if you need anything with protein in the morning, you'll probably need to look elsewhere. read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! Involved in a serious car accident a week before we planned to visit our son in West Plains and had to postpone our trip. We booked a room at Quality Inn for 8 days and asked for a refund/credit to use when we were able to reschedule. THE MANAGER WAS RUDE AND WOULD NOT WORK WITH US. I stayed on the second floor in rm 213 at Quality Inn in West Plains MO. Last night a roach was crawling up my wall behind the TV. I smashed it and left it there, hoping someone will see it. This morning, I found food stuck to the wall in the bathroom right by the toilet and the counter. I don't know if someone threw up or was making a sandwich. There were also spots on the bedspread. I'm not going to look any closer. This was disgusting . I am certainly not going to eat the bad breakfast (all microwaved food), because if there are roaches on the second floor, there's got to be roaches around the food. Definite! Great - nice, neat & tidy. Checked in late, very nice clerk. Property is very CLEAN! (Our most important objective). Breakfast is available - hot, nice selection & again, very clean! The attendant was very attentive & nice! The indoor pool looked good, it was open - quick sleep & go so we didn't use it. Reasonable price - nice property! read more

I stay out in hotels 40-100 nights a year for work and this hotel was by far the worst experience I've had. The check in was fine, the front desk clerk did ask a lot of questions I usually do not get asked. The room was #219 as soon as we walked in we knew it was off. It had a musty funk that was off putting, smelled of cigarettes in a no smoking room. We decided to make the best of it and not complain. It was only after I looked at the pillows that the freaked out. Bugs, all inside the pillow case and under the pillows. The pillows themselves were not clean and had long black hairs on them. The bugs were clear and small and a little bigger version in brown but there were many teaming inside those pillow cases. We didn't stick around more than a minute after that. The front desk clerk informed us we wouldn't be billed for the room but couldn't offer us any documentation proving the point. I hope they don't try and take the money out of my account. I will take this as high as I can with choice. This was horrifying. Never go here. read more

I was charged twice for the same hotel room. The hotel refuse to reimburse me for the second charge. And all I was offered was a free room at the same hotel on the same night. Do not stay here. much better hotels right down the street. microwave did not work, room stinks like cigarette. And no included breakfast as advertise. read more

Believe the bad reviews!!!! This place is a SCAM.. They look for any reason to over charge, charge twice not refund, not credit. No customer service. Don't stay here!!! Find anywhere else. I called there corporate headquarters to file a formal complaint and they still refused to help. They need to be shut down. They made me pay twice for a room. When it was an obvious mistake. The room smells terrible. The microwave doesn't work, the television was broken, the refrigerator was broken. Sheets were stained. Summary: overcharged for rats nest. Based on the other reviews I am contacting the better business bureau so more people will be aware of this hotel read more

I booked my room here for the location. I was driving through and needed a place near the Hwy we were traveling on. The place was either new or recently renovated. The carpet, linens and furniture were all new. We usually stay at a "Choice Hotels" hotel so that I will get points towards free rooms as well as 99% of the hotels within this company are CLEAN. Everything about this hotel was great but the price point seemed high for an Econo Lodge, being this chain is one of the lower priced hotels within the Choice Hotels family. I knew what the price would be before we got there so no surprises but I thought it was high when I booked it. If the place would have been $15 cheaper I would have given it 5 Stars. I will stay her again if I am stopping in this area again. read more

We stayed here for several days while visiting family & handling some business in the area. I was able to get a Handicapped accessible room for my Mother that was connecting to ours and that was very convenient for us. The rooms were decent sized and the Breakfast they offered was OK not spectacular but good to have in a pinch. Having access to donuts, coffee, juice & breakfast breads was nice. The other things bacon, sausage, eggs, were just typical processed style food, but it was at no cost so, it was appreciated. We did not get a chance to enjoy the indoor pool, but it was nice sized. I would definitely stay again when in the area. read more

Do not stay here!!!!! Horrible hotel!!! We arrived at 9:15p, with a reservation for a king non-smoking room, and were given room 104. We noticed a poorly painted spot above the lock, and were knocked over by the stench of stale cigarette smoke. The door and lock were also held together by wood glue, yikes (see pictures). My husband didn't feel like moving all of our stuff so I agreed to stay in the room. After driving all day, we wanted to soak in the pool...advertised as open until 10, but it was closed and locked. We went back to unpack and discovered a dirty bathroom...someone else's hair in the tub, and dirt or fuzz under the sink (see pictures). The last surprise was a large hole in the sheets, also submitted a picture. I did not expect much, but this hotel is horrible! Do not stay here!!! If this room is like this, none of the rooms will be well cleaned or cared for. read more

This hotel USED to be top notch, back when it was a Best Western. But now, as the Quality Inn, the people working the desk are inconsiderate and very rude! I attempted to book a jacuzzi room for myself and my girlfriend (who suffers from fibromyalgia and more) so she could relax and soak since she could not get in to see her chiropractor that day. My mother was also going to come visit and use the jacuzzi. She has a heart problem and was going in for cataract surgery the next morning. She was not going to stay, just to visit for an hour or so. When I told the front desk, the guy went into his "we do not allow visitors due to covid" speech. WE ARE ALL FULLY VACCINATED! Of course, that did not matter at all. He then said that if we got the room and then took a visitor in, that we would be evicted from our room without refund! I was wearing a mask, though I am not required after vaccination. He WAS NOT wearing a mask at all! I won't give them a dime! Not now. Not in the future. And you can be sure that I will not recommend anyone stay there. In fact, if I can steer away any future business from them, I will! read more

We booked this hotel at literally the last minute on our journey back to Georgia. The hotel is in a tiny city in what felt like the middle of nowhere but we had a fairly easy check in and it served its slumber purpose. The pool area is pretty nice and breakfast was included. Great stay for a decent price. read more

I am pleasantly surprised by this hotel. We were driving our daughter back to KU and couldn't find a nice hotel to save our lives. We were tired and we so glad we found the Quality Inn. The customer service has been amazing and our room was very clean and comfy. The free breakfast was hot and plentiful. We would absolutely stay here again. read more

I hope this place has decent managers who will fix what the employee will not in the morning. It's currently 27 degrees and I'm stuck in a room with NO HEAT with a ten month old infant. Turned on the heater and it set off the smoke alarm! Alarm went off for THIRTY minutes. Woke my infant up from a dead sleep! It took two calls and two trips to the desk for them to give us a new room and come shut the alarm off. The managers better fix this! We are terrified to turn the heat on in the new room for fear of another episode. I should also mention, the SAME THING happened last time we stayed during the fall/winter season. Tip? We arrived at 8:30 Friday night and Joy(oh the irony,)was at the front desk. She told me that she could not allow one adult and four children in one room which seemed absurd to me (keep in mind, ages 5,7,9,12). She said that I would need to book another room. I asked if there were any adjoining rooms available and she said no. I then asked if there were any rooms next to each other available and she said "no".So then I asked her if she thought it was appropriate for me to let two children stay in a room on the other end of a hotel without an adult(I was being sarcastic, no way in HELL would I do that)and she said"that's your only option". Big sigh. I called my brother and said,can you come pick up my niece after 10, explained the situation,told him that way should could at least swim for an hour until the pool closed. Joy interjected that she couldn't swim unless she was a registered guest.I was like, Seriously? I then told her that we only stayed here for the hotel,Grandfather died, poor kids have been in a car or a funeral home for the last 9 hours and this is something they were all looking forward to. She rolled her eyes and let out a big sigh and slammed the key down and said,she has ONE HOUR. The next morning I let my girls swim again before we had to leave. When they got back to the room and took showers I saw that their hair was GREEN. It looked like they had dyed it,and we had a funeral to attend. The night before it was fine, which means they over treated their pool over night (they swim ALL THE TIME,this has never happened before)I freaked out, had to drive to the store to get special shampoo to try to get it out. I called down and asked for a later checkout,told them why,they offered me an extra 30 mins. Not once did they offer an apology or a reimbursement for the shampoo I had to get. read more
