We stayed here on our way to the Baltimore MD area. I'd like to give 3.5 stars but in the absence of the option I'm going with 4. The front desk staff was courteous and professional at checkin. Very informative and quick to get us our room keys. Bonus was hot apple cider when we arrived. The elevator is small. Don't expect to get two sets of guests and luggage carts in at once! Our king room was nice. The room appeared to have been recently renovated and the furnishings were what you'd expect for a Hampton. The coffee machine was one of the older models and worked well. The room was very clean, no stains on any furnishings and the bathroom was in good condition. Plenty of plugs for our various electronics. Breakfast had many options including make your own waffles, processed egg omelets, sausage, bagels, fruit, cereal, eggs and oatmeal. I took a bagel to go. There was also free bottled water for guests. Overall a good experience at this Hampton good for a quick one night stay while passing through town. read more

Wonderful experience at the Hampton in uniontown Pa. I had such a horrible experience across the street at the comfort suites that I checked out of there and came over to the Hampton in tears. Mathew was working the front desk and he was wonderful. The whole town was booked solid but he was able to squeeze me in. You could tell he sincerely felt bad for me and did everything he could to help me. Hampton, don't lose Mathew.. what a wonderful person. Worst experience ever! I have been a diamond member for several years. I've stayed at Hilton locations all over America and the world. I have never encountered a more unsympathetic and hostile staff. They had our reservation for a good two weeks before I was being "notified" that they were not dog friendly which contradicts the Hilton policy that their properties be pet friendly by early 2022. The manager explained they tried to reach me. I never got a phone call or msg. I do have a spam blocker on my phone for not recognized numbers. He mentioned an email that was sent . I did find it but it was sent the Sunday before our arrival. I am retired and was on vacation - I don't check my emails everyday. I asked if we could get a refund. They said no in very ugly way ... it was a management decision. So, now I am without a room for my wife and dog. A room that was paid for. I am retired and on fixed income. I am now having to pay for another room at another hotel. I believe the staff particularly the supervisor and manager need lessons in customer hospitality versus hostility, regardless of the circumstances. They were more interested in citing company policy and defending their management decisions than trying to even understand our circumstances. Apparently in talking to the locals, this location has had issues before with other customers. All I did was make reservation at a hotel. Little did I realize that this would turn into such a bad experience. I can't post my review without a rating. The one star is actually a no star I will remain a loyal Hilton honors diamond member despite this experience. read more

Easily one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. If you ever have the misfortune to run into Michael the manager, just run the other way. He was incredibly rude from the get-go, and ended up charging over 130% of the original cost of our original booking because we were told by multiple other employees that we'd be able to check in early. My credit card statement shows that I was charged even more than his initial price hike. He refused to honor the other employees' words, saying that it must have been someone new, so he was under no obligation to respect it. He also started shouting over me when I tried explaining the situation to my partner. Not to mention the AC unit smelled absolutely awful, like it hasn't been cleaned since the place was built. You'd be better off sleeping on a park bench than dealing with this hotel. read more

Nice clean room (233). Ice cold AC. Big comfy K/S bed. Hot shower. Minimal noises. TV was kinda small an' dated, but it was fine. No smell of cigarettes or weed or any other extraneous odors. My wife and I booked a room just to get away for the weekend and enjoy some of the fall festivities near Ohiopyle for our anniversary. However, we were called the day before our reservation by hotel staff which ultimately lead to us canceling the reservation. They notified me that we lived 40 miles from the hotel and it is hotel policy that they charge a $500 Deposit for anyone within 60 miles!!!! I understand we would get it back, but a business that penalizes members of its own community is not one that I care to patronize. When I told the gentleman that I would cancel and book somewhere else he told me that I could do that but the other hotels in the area have the same practice. Which is ironic because the first hotel I called (Hilton Garden Inn) gladly booked me a room and advised they have no such policy or practice. read more

Great and friendly staff, from the breakfast lady to Santino at the front desk (a veritable font of information and suggestions of the area). Breakfast is filling, the pool is large, there is a fitness room, well-equipped business room, and lots of parking. Location is nothing to sneeze at and internet access is not great, even when in the lobby (my sister, a Hilton Honors member, had far more success accessing the internet here. Hmmm....) The guest rooms are large, lots of storage, lighting, workspace, and the bed is comfortable. Loved the Neutrogena bath products and the unique and quirky barn-door-like bathroom/closet door. This hotel is near many, great places to visit in the Laurel Highlands area, especially if you are into history, nature, and Frank Lloyd Wright-designed homes. read more

I am always BLOWN AWAY by this hotel in Uniontown. I live in Charlotte and spend a few nights with family when I visit but I always spend at least one night here to decompress from the world. First off, the front desk staff is amazing... super nice, knowledgeable and not once have I ever felt like I was bothering them with a question (this Nov 2017 was my 4th stay here). Second, the hot tub, steam and sauna are kept in working order and always clean. Do you know how many hotels across the country I've stayed at because they had a hot tub on their website only to find out it was broken when I got there? Not once has this hotel's been down during my stay. The hot tub was VERY hot and the jets were the strongest I've ever experienced. Third, I loved the fact that I could choose my room through the Hilton Honors app. That was a surprise and WONDERFUL since the first floor of this hotel gets A LOT of traffic as the thru-way for the pool. So the third floor it was and to have that peace of mind I would have some quiet before I got there... PRICELESS! The continental breakfast wasn't bad either. I wish they had a breakfast meat but it was just scrambled eggs, biscuit/gravy (or make your own waffles). My last stay the eggs were little half moon omelette shaped pieces. This time it was traditional crumbled scrambled eggs. I definitely preferred the omelette looking style (I know... odd! Just a personal preference). And one note, unfortunately, I think they could look into a new coffee provider. If you are looking for a good cup of java on your way back out onto the road, this most likely won't be it. There is a Sheetz diagonal across the street and I do recommend heading over there for your cup of joe. That covers everything in my review. LOVE THIS HOTEL! read more

The owner of this hotel would not honor the guarantee on its website that every stay includes a meeting room. Even though it was available, and I had already made my reservation, he wanted to charge me an additional $150 for the meeting room. His explanation was that the cost was for set up; I told him no set was required, I was just trying to meet with a client and would not need anything or make any mess. He refused. Even when Hampton Inn corporate tried to get the room on my behalf, the owner apparently refused and Hampton Inn put me up in another location with a free meeting room. The lack of customer care this shows and complete unreasonableness this shows tells me this is not a good property owner to deal with. Stay away! I was in the area when I went to Falling Waters, and ended up making a pretty last minute reservation here. Coming in, was super easy; I didn't have to worry about parking and the people working the front desk were friendly and got me set up and checked in quickly. It was right next to an Aldi's and a Sheetz right next to it which were super convenient and made it easy to overlook the lack of late night snacks there itself. I stayed here during a recent visit to see Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. Its in a convenient area, near a number of restaurants and a mall. The service was great and very speedy. It has a pool and a small gym. They offer healthy snacks pretty much all day and a decent breakfast considering the fact that they don't have a restaurant. My only complaint is that the hot tub had so much chlorine in it that I had a headache for a full day afterwards from being in it for about a minute. Overall it was a good experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area, especially considering the reasonable price ($100 a night). read more

This Hampton Inn has really surprised me! My room is clean, I even gave it a bedbug check, and it is well laid out. I was in a king bedroom, with a sprawling bed, fluffy pillows facing a very nice flat screen LCD TV. The room has a desk, a fainting couch, an armoire and other storage for luggage and clothing. The room is very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping is predictable, they come at the same time daily and are nice and courteous and they do a beautiful job Even the bathroom is nice, it is certainly not luxury but the hot water is plentiful, there is some counter space for my all my necessities. The staff are quite helpful, very friendly and eager to be of any assistance. This hotel has a very nicely-equipped small fitness center, a small pool and a tiny spa. It surpasses anything I might have expected. It is centrally located to eating establishments in this tiny town. I would definitely stay here again. read more

This Hampton Inn has gotten better with time. We just completed a trip to Uniontown last week and stayed here for the 4 night /5 day duration. We found the staff to be helpful. I loved coming back to a clean room after relative visits. We actualy made use of the pool this time and had fun. I wish I could have had some "me" time in the sauna but I'll try again in the Spring. Loved the free coffee station ( regular, robust, and decaf). Considering the freakishly cold weather it was a huge help. The free breakfasts were hit or miss. The keilbasa one morning was just gross but the scrambled eggs the next day weren't half bad. The food needs to be hotter though. It's not a draw when the sausage gravy is in a gelatinous state -- how am I supposed to ladle that over hot biscuits? Kudos for always having fresh fruits, pastries, and yogurts available. Those are keepers. So was the freshly baked cookies at night. Nice touch. Anyway, with AAA it came to $89 per night (before taxes). We'll see yuns in the Springtime! read more

Awful Smell, Flies, and Lies We reserved two rooms for our family last weekend, for one night. We requested that they be adjoining rooms, and called to confirm, as we were checking in late in the evening. The woman with whom my husband spoke told him that these were the last adjoining rooms, and that other customers were "angry" because they wanted these rooms. (This struck us as oddly unprofessional of her to share.) When we arrived, adjoining rooms 327 and 329 were assigned to us. 327 smelled, no--reeked--of smoke, and our entire family agreed. My children recoiled from the smell. Room 329 smelled fine. I went to the desk, and asked to change rooms, but there were no more rooms to which we could transfer. The middle-aged, very blonde woman behind the desk (I forget her name) informed me, with a tight-lipped condescending smile, that it's a non-smoking hotel: therefore, it would be *impossible* for that room to smell like smoke. (As one of my children later quipped, "Has she met humanity?") The same woman then offered to come and spray the room with Febreeze. We declined, because then we would have two awful smells in our room. The hotels nearby, she assured us, were all filled. It was late, so I suggested that we get a cot and all sleep together in the one room without smoke. The woman acquiesced, but balked when I suggested we not be charged for the smoky-smelling room we would not be using. Tired, we agreed to pay for the second room. The same woman later came to the room with a broken cot, so my daughter gamely said that she would sleep on the plastic mattress on the floor. Then the woman and a coworker went with my husband to smell room 327. Miraculously, she and her colleague claimed not to smell *any* smoke, or any smell at all in that room, even though it still smelled awful! This was so unprofessional of them, and I wish there were a smell equivalent to a photograph so that I could prove how awful and strongly pervasive the odor was. All of this would have been okay--and I would not have written this review--had they simply apologized and had they not flatly lied to us. Also, one of my children counted seven flies (trapped between the curtain and the window) in the room where we all stayed. My daughter was trying to do homework in the morning, and found the buzzing distracting. We have stayed at other Hampton Inns and had wonderful experiences. I arrived In town late 11:45pm. They had a room and the young man checking me In Was so pleasant. I made a joke saying all the relatives I have in this town and none opened their doors for me. He laughed and said, We Got You Covered! After a long and stressful flight it was nice to hear positive. He mentioned about breakfast and time. I must say this Hampton Inn is by far one of the cleanest, friendliest and comfortable hotel I have been too... Unfortunetly, we were in town for a funeral for a couple days. The evening we got in was late, close to 1:00am but when we arrived the person at the desk was extremely friendly considering it was one in the morning. That was a pleasant start to our stay. I also must say they have the most comfortable beds and pillows that I have already looked in to purchasing 2 from their Hampton home collection. I woke up and told my husband that was the best sleep I have had in a long time and I contunied to rant about the whole time I was getting dressed... I think he thought I was little crazy until my son meant us in the hallway and said " those beds are so comfortable" and then as we meant my sister-inlaw in the lobby she started he rant about the pillows being so comfy. I think at that point my husband was convinced that us purchasing this Hampton collection is a must! In addition to the clean and comfy stay they offer an amazing complimentary breakfast that is delicious with a amazing selection that spared no expense! read more

Stayed in three hotels in 3 nights and by far this was the nicest. We stayed in an Embassy Suites near Pittsburgh Airport, City Hotel in Northern Cambria, and last night this Hampton Inn in Union Town. What separated this hotel from the others was its cleanliness, modern amenities such as working wi-fi connectivity, plentiful outlets for all your electronics at both night stands within easy reach, adjustable temperature controls that were not regulated, complete peace and quiet even though the hotel was busy, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. I finally got a good nights rest in four days. As most of you who frequent Hilton properties know the Hampton has a fair continental breakfast. Only shortcoming is I like to take a shower when I check in the night before and again in the morning before I depart and they did not have enough fresh bath towels. Flu viruses, bacteria, germs and many other pathogens. Our own immune systems build up a tolerance to what we have but not what some others may have. I have checked this out to find this hotel probably hasn't changed or washed these pillows since the last renovation. read more

These five stars all go to Derek. This evening I found myself stranded on top of the nearby mountain due to a sudden intense snowstorm trying to drive back to Baltimore. After a little assistance for the state troopers, I managed to get my vehicle back down the mountain and all I wanted to do at 2:30 am was find a place sleep for the night. I pulled into the Hampton Inn ready to make reservation. Unfortunately Derek's hands were tied because the system was down and would 't be back up until 4 am. He tried calling the nearby Hilton only to learn that they were in the same boat. Instead of turning me away to fend for myself, Derek immediately started naming hotels nearby and even picked up the phone and started calling around until he found one that could give me a room. Even though I'm staying at a competitor's hotel, Derek's actions ensures that I will stay at the Hampton the next time I travel this way for business. I've checked into many hotels after midnight on business trips only to find the staff during those hours were sub-par. Derek exceeded my expectations in every way. If he is representative of the types of employees the Hampton has chosen to represent their brand, I will send more of my business that way regardless of the room rate. And to the Hampton/Hilton Management - I know it is highly unlikely that someone would need a room at 2:30 am a Saturday but apparently freak snow storms happen. Hopefully in the future there can be a way to take a reservation in these situations so your employees don't have to turn business away. Regardless, I hope you can appreciate employees like Derek who go the extra mile to turn bad experiences into positive ones that will keep customers coming back. read more

Hotel is dirty. Staff is rude. Rooms have paper thin walls so you can hear everything. Ceiling allows all movements to be heard. Breakfast was the highlight. There are many hotels close by. I would go elsewhere. read more

I stayed at Hampton Inn in Uniontown PA, bought a few drinks at the front desk that totaled $9.00. The next morning i had a charge for $59.00. The card i used was different from the one that was used for paying for the room, because my work paid for the room. This holding fee left me with essentially no money and after speaking with my bank and the super intelligent people at Hampton Inn, there was no way of having this holding fee released until check out, which wasn't for a few days. The swell folk at the front desk had no idea about this situation. One girl told me shes been there for a year and has only seen this holding fee twice, whereas others at the front desk tell me this happens every time there is a purchase made. They said that there was a MINIMUM of 50 dollars required when making purchases at the front desk, so if you don't spend 50, they automatically take it from you. Yes, if you don't spend 50 dollars on snacks, drinks, or toiletries at the front desk your money gets taken from you. Sounds like a great idea, Hampton Inn. So my revenge for this was to ABUSE THE EVER LIVING LIFE out of the free breakfast. Since i had no money to eat, i LOADED my room with the free breakfast platters. I'm talking 3-4 trips of full plates each morning. In the long run i got my 50 dollars back from all of the food i harvested from the dining room. Thank you very much Hilton Inn! read more

WORST Hotel..EVER. Changed my room reservation from a nonsmoking room to a smoking room and the manager did NOTHING to rectify the situation. he told me that I could write a letter but that he was also the owner so the letter would just come come o him. I will NEVER book another room with Hampton Inn or any of Hilton's hotels as they would do nothing for us either. What a joke! read more
