Let me start by saying I am a long-time Marriott customer with lifetime gold elite status. We have stayed at many different Marriott properties over the years and am sure we will continue to do so. This property, however, fell short of my expectations. There was a major lack of hospitality, which is a very big issue when you're in the hospitality business. It started with the greeting, or should I say, lack of greeting at checkin. They asked my name, looked me up, assigned my room, and sent us on our way. The greeting I'm used to is being called by my name & being thanked for being an elite member. Who doesn't like that little extra effort/ acknowledgment? Then we arrived at our room and saw the extra pillows requested on my reservation were not there. Again, a little thing, but they add up. The room itself was ok. It was a suite so it had the extra seating area which I like. The best thing about the stay was the bed. It was super comfortable! Unfortunately there was an expressway outside our window which made it difficult to sleep at night. The breakfast was at best 'ok'. The set up of the room was strange, with the area for making waffles and getting the other hot foods in a tiny triangle shaped area that couldn't hold more than 2 people comfortably. Wish I had taken a picture. On our 2nd and final morning there, the girl working in this area never got off her phone. She didn't put it down even when people needed her assistance. Were they all bothering her? Checkout was similar to checkin, except the girl working there never even looked up and just nodded her head when I set my key on the counter. Again, a little hospitality goes a long way. Also, the bathroom floor was sticky, and the pool was super cloudy the whole time we were there So we didn't even attempt using it. We arrived at 8pm and had to wait for almost ten minutes for there to be someone at the front desk. We went to our room which had stains on the carpet (one looked like blood), a gross bathtub, and stains on the sheet. We didn't shower there and did not get a good night's sleep thinking about how gross a room we were in. Also, the freeway is right there and is loud. read more

Clean, but staff for breakfast time did not clean off tables, refill missing items and the lids for coffee did not fit to take away as we left nor were the cups readily visible. Instead of tending to about 20 plus frustrated breakfast guests, two staff were smoking in front of hotel just a couple feet from the entrance despite a front door posting for non-smoking at a 25 foot radius. An alarm in the late hours outside of hotel was concerning but no one answered the phone at the front desk and the dog across the hall was barking and disruptive. Beds were so squishy they hurt our back. Decided on Fairfield since they usually have consistency on what to expect. This was not our experience at this hotel. Poorly managed. read more

Had a terrible experience with the General Manager, Jenn Sheridan. after two days without a room phone, I politely explained to her that I would like a working phone. I encountered a defensive and rude response. I was completely shocked by her lack of customer service, and unprofessional attitude. This is unlike anything I have experienced in the Marriott franchise and she does not represent them well at all. However, the maintenance guy resolved the problem in a polite and professional way. If you stay on the first floor it's LOUD! You can hear the lobby, doors banging all night and it's right next to a gas station so you hear traffic all night long. Was clean, very basic room. Coffee in room. Grab and Go breakfast buffet includes eggs, yogurt and OJ. If you do stay here stay upstairs and ask for a room not facing the street. Safe area, not many places to eat except a restaurant across the street. Gas station next door serves coffee and donuts. read more

This Fairfield Inn is in the midst of a much needed upgrade. The last time we stayed here was 3 years ago and the facility was starting to look and feel a little tired. During this visit, the pool was still closed for renovation (which is a big deal to us since we never use the hotel pool) and is scheduled to reopen in 2 weeks. The fitness center had just reopened within the last week and a large section of the lobby was blocked off by a large sheet of visqueen which I assume meant the lobby was also being renovated. There were workman stripping wall covering in the the stairways and it looked like they were preparing to strip the wall covering in the main corridor. The room was clean and decently decorated. The lounge chair really creaked when you sat down in it but the chair at the desk appeared to be relatively new. The carpet also appeared to be relatively new. Due to lobby renovations, the complimentary breakfast was not up to the usual Fairfield Inn standards but was more than adequate. The hotel was sold out this weekend (there was at least 1 and maybe 2 large wedding parties there) but was still very quiet. The location is convenient to I-70 and there are a number of dining options within walking distance. The ongoing renovations should bring this location back up to the standards you'd expect from a Fairfield Inn. read more

We were traveling back from NYC trying to get a good head start on beating a snow storm that was coming thru. We did not make any reservations in that we did not know how far we would get. As it started flurrying, I decided to start checking. I found the hotel on TripAdvisor, the rate was awesome and crossed checked it with Yelp Reviews. Both reviews were spot on. The location is super convenient, right off of 70. It is very clean and nice appointed. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms are good size and ours included a fridge & micro. In that we were traveling with two kids, having the toilet & shower separate from the sink area is helpful. The toilet/shower room is of good size. Shower was very clean and plenty of room. The shower head had a couple of settings, but not a very wide span on the water temp range but we found there was plenty of hot water. The beds are comfortable but wished they were queens instead of full. The pillows are great and they give you 3 per bed which is nice. It was pretty easy to control the room temperature with a number of choices from cool, heat to just fan. They have directional vents on the window units to direct the into the room rather than just up the window. The kids very much enjoyed the pool hot tub area. The hot tub was plenty warm and is under a window patio area so we could sit and watch the snow fall. Plenty of towels in the pool area. The breakfast/lobby area has plenty of seating. There is a wide selection for breakfast. Four hot entries, make your own waffles, cereals, breads/pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk and juice selections. The person keeping the food fresh is on top of things and is more than happy to help you. The breakfast choices were a nice surprise. We used the Marriott app to book, check-in and check-out and it was super easy. When we went to leave and turn out keys in, the front clerk asked where we were going handed our keys back. The interstate was closed and she said to feel free to hang out until it opened back up. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will aim for this location as we travel back and forth the to the east coast. read more

Small place. Wish they had vending machines though. Had to go downstairs to get chips and pay at front desk after waiting for receptionist. BYOS: Bring Your Own Soap, this is sticky and strong scented. Shower didn't drain and when I opened the curtain there were hairs in the unused tub. I've been visiting the area frequently and I stayed at the "new" Hampton hotel on the top of the hill 6 weeks ago and it was absolutely filthy. I did the same walk thru here and wiped every surface with a disinfecting wipe and not one area had any dirt. I cannot say enough about how clean the Fairfield was in comparison. I even wiped under the microwave on top of the refrigerator no dust anywhere. The bed was really very comfortable too. The grab and go breakfast was okay but I do miss the regular Fairfield breakfasts. I visit the area several times a year and will definitely stay here from now on. read more

One of the better places to stay in the area. Beds are very comfortable and the hotel is quiet despite the proximity to the turnpike and interstate. The offer cord which are thicker and more like beds which was excellent for our family of four. I just wish the rooms had queens instead of doubles. If anyone has ever slept in a double with their child or even their spouse for that matter it's not conducive to a deep sleep. read more

This was a perfectly adequate stay; though, not up to the usual Fairfield Inn/Marriott stay that I expect. Starting at the front desk to minimum places to r charge electronics to an older mattress, the stay was just plain OK. I was put off by a less than stellar, abrupt front desk clerk. As we were driving, I made the reservation through TripAdvisor; I picked the Fairfield Inn despite it being the most expensive hotel in the area because we are Marriott members and figured a few points added to our balance would be a nice bonus for paying a little more. I also expected the usual awesome Marriott experience; my expectations were dashed at the front desk. As we were checking in, I said, "Oh here's our Marriott card." I was pointedly told, "We don't do that. You booked through a 3rd party." No apology; no empathy; simply, don't waste your time giving me a card I won't accept. I was flabbergasted; usually hotel staff is very friendly to us when we show our card many times offering us free water and/or snacks. This clerk was not friendly. I have learned my lesson: don't book through a 3rd party and you don't always get what you pay for. Next time, I'm going with a cheaper option if I'm going to get cheap service. read more

Jeff: I'm just going to have a pros and cons list. Pros: Heated indoor pool, 12 o'clock check out, best complimentrly breakfast I've ever eaten, comfortable bed, clean, split bathroom sink and shower. Cons: none. Chris: Is it ethically alright for me to say we got it on priceline? Well, we did and it was worth at least double what we payed. The rooms seem newly remolded and don't smell like smoke. Breakfast was served to 10am. The bed was very comfortable and the 32 inch LG TV with HBO was also very nice. Ryan: The breakfast had waffles, egg sandwiches, trix, bagels, good coffee and lots of other stuff. The beds were very nice. Good job. read more

Very solid, reliable chain hotel that checked all of the boxes: about $100/night, free wireless, indoor pool and hot tub, free continental breakfast with items continuously being restocked by hotel staff, free coffee all day, friendly staff, free newspapers, clean room, comfortable bed... everything you'd expect. Also far enough back from the main road so road noise was not an issue. This might sound silly, but I thought the continental breakfast was very well-curated. Plenty of hot and cold options, as another reviewer mentioned. We were in town for a nearby wedding and I'm glad this was the suggested hotel. It's right off of I-70 and the turnpike, so if you're passing through and need a comfy place to crash, this is your place. read more

I used the app to book two rooms and it couldn't have been easier. Also used the app to check in and out as well...very smooth! Just to see if they actually read the in app requests I requested extra pillows, toothbrushes, toothpaste and razors....low and behold when I got to my rooms they were all there!!! That was a great touch. The bed was comfy, room a good size, gym was very small but adequate and the breakfast was awesome. Fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon, etc.....more than what I see most places. Overall a great experience. Only thing that would have made it a touch better would have been complimentary bottled water in the room. read more

Okay, we got the straight dope about the kids running up and down the hall...they're not related to the owners, they're a traveling hockey team that have been plaguing this hotel all weekend. I'm not sure that changes my review much, in that the hotel SHOULD do something about problems like this, but they aren't. Worst Marriott chain hotel I have ever stayed. My sheets had blood stains so I made the front desk aware and their response was.. "so do you want me to change them". seriously..? what kind of customer service is this.. on the 3rd night there was a naked drunk women running in the hall way. Cops had to come and arrest her. I was also confused with someone else and had my room check out one week early. I could keep going on and on about how bad my stay here was but if you are planning on staying here please be for warned. We made a reservation ahead based on reviews and were pleased with our selection. The hotel is very clean, the staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is right off of I70 and easy to access. They have all the Marriott usuals, heated pool, free newspaper. Although we did not use it, this hotel has free breakfast. Unfortunately, Marriott has changed to a softer bedding that we do not like. My wife and I are Marriott Rewards members. We spent one night here after touring Pittsburgh. When I first walked in to the Lobby I was very surprised. Nothing at all like the other Fairfield Inns we have stayed at. The lobby is very small and so is the Breakfast area. They have no Business Center and no Exercise room. This should definitely not be rated as a Level #4 hotel. When we got to our room it was great, very clean and spacious. Also the pool is very nice. The morning breakfast was fair with the usual sausage and eggs. The staff is very helpful and friendly and the staff is doing as well as they can with the small space they have. I guess to sum it up I felt like the Motel has a Super 8 sized lobby and amenities along a very nice Marriott room. I work very hard to accumulate reward points and and feel like I did not get what I expected in value. We will not stay there again. read more

So we actually haven't stayed at this hotel yet but I will update the review afterwards. This review is just about the phenomenal customer service that we've received so far. I didn't see any reviews on here from past weddings, so I wanted to make sure there was one on yelp for anyone getting married in the future around this area and checking out this hotel. My wedding is going to be held in Scottsdale and this was the hotel that we chose because they were able to offer a larger room block than the other nearby hotels. We have been working with Heather and she has been so helpful. She sends us updates on our block reservations without being asked (it helped us make sure that certain people booked in time). She is always able to answer any questions promptly and offer multiple options to us for any questions. I'm extremely impressed with the service at this hotel and she made it an extremely stress free process. I have no worries about this hotel and the wedding day and I can't wait to be there in a few weeks! read more
