As it started flurrying, I decided to start checking. I found the hotel on TripAdvisor, the rate was awesome and crossed checked it with Yelp Reviews. Both reviews were spot on. The location is super convenient, right off of 70. It is very clean and nice appointed. The staff was very pleasant. The rooms are good size and ours included a fridge & micro. In that we were traveling with two kids, having the toilet & shower separate from the sink area is helpful. The toilet/shower room is of good size. Shower was very clean and plenty of room. The shower head had a couple of settings, but not a very wide span on the water temp range but we found there was plenty of hot water. The beds are comfortable but wished they were queens instead of full. The pillows are great and they give you 3 per bed which is nice. It was pretty easy to control the room temperature with a number of choices from cool, heat to just fan. They have directional vents on the window units to direct the into the room rather than just up the window. The kids very much enjoyed the pool hot tub area. The hot tub was plenty warm and is under a window patio area so we could sit and watch the snow fall. Plenty of towels in the pool area. The breakfast/lobby area has plenty of seating. There is a wide selection for breakfast. Four hot entries, make your own waffles, cereals, breads/pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk and juice selections. The person keeping the food fresh is on top of things and is more than happy to help you. The breakfast choices were a nice surprise. We used the Marriott app to book, check-in and check-out and it was super easy. When we went to leave and turn out keys in, the front clerk asked where we were going handed our keys back. The interstate was closed and she said to feel free to hang out until it opened back up. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and will aim for this location as we travel back and forth the to the east coast.

I can't say I found a live bed bug, but I did find evidence of their presence, mainly bed bug droppings and a carcass of a bed bug. I didn't want to stay any longer, so we went to the front desk, to either put in another room, or a refund. The manager just left, but the clerk was able to get her on the phone, the clerk ask me to send the pictures to the hotel e-mail. At no time did the manager ever speak to us directly, on how to proceed. We left the hotel, and found a clean hotel to stay at. 3 days later, the manager sent a text, saying that a pest control company, cam in and found no bed bugs. We contacted Wyndham directly, and they never gave a response. Now you can judge our Bed Bug pictures, and ask yourself, would you stay here?

The only reason I am giving them two stars instead of one is that the young lady who checked us in the night of 11/10/2014 (long dark hair worn up) was very professional and polite. She changed our non-smoking room, which smelled of cigarette smoke out for a different non-smoking room, which just smelled musty.

I understand precautions must be taken during Covid but there is no reason, for example, not to provide individual cereal options with a carton of milk. That can be done safely. Other hotels I stayed in on this trip did do it. Deceptive "EV Charging," Hidden Fees, and Unprofessional Management…read more I booked my stay at the Red Roof Inn in New Stanton specifically because they advertised having an electric car charging station. Unfortunately, this amenity is incredibly misleading and borders on a total scam. First of all, there is no actual charging station. It is literally just a standard wall outlet. There is no cord provided, so if you happen to leave your charging cable at home, you are completely out of luck. To make matters even more frustrating, the hotel manager actively parks their own vehicle right in the single spot where the outlet is located, making it completely inaccessible to guests. The biggest shock was discovering that they actually charge a fee just to plug in. This was not properly disclosed upfront. I have stayed at countless hotels across the country, and I have never once encountered a property that charges a paying guest to charge their vehicle. It is standard industry practice everywhere else to provide this amenity for free. When I tried to address this ridiculous plug-in situation, the hotel manager was entirely unprofessional, rude, and immediately defensive. The bizarre way the matter was handled made it feel like this undisclosed "fee" was simply for the manager's personal benefit rather than a legitimate hotel policy. If you drive an EV--or if you just expect transparent amenities and basic customer service--do yourself a favor and book a room somewhere else.

The bathroom was well lit and had a nice big sink; hot water was instantly. Overall everything in the room, heat and fridge, worked well. WIFI worked too. Iron and iron board easily accessible. Breakfast was good too(see photos) they even had REAL yogurt a rarity at a Choice brand hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay and certainly will keep this place in mind if I pass through the area again needing a stay for an overnight.

Not that I would eat it anyways, the night before while I was trying to get keys, I checked out the breakfast area and found the counters nor batter from the waffle maker had been cleaned up from that morning; this was at 6pm.
