Not many places to choose in Spring Hill Florida. This is it. For $135 a night you can decide if it's worth it. Not very clean of a room. Very dated looking. Comforter isn't soft and comfortable. Please be careful of the baseboards. Very dangerous for small children. Sharp edges poked out. Toothpaste on the mirror. And drain in sink not even attached. Shower has good power but faucet isn't sealed. For the amount of money per night, they should use it to update the rooms properly. No drawers for clothes but the side table has plugs for your electronics. The room doesn't get dark enough. Tons of light coming through and was extremely bright in the mornings. The good part- most of the Staff was very nice and free bottles of water. read more

We stayed at the Hampton Inn at the beginning of December. Stuff was nice,hotel was clean but a bit older design. Rooms only had 2 big towels+ few little ones.Only the bare minimal as far as toiletries,coffee and tea. No microwave in the rooms only a coffee maker. We booked this location to spend a day at the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park,well it was colsed for renovation... But there are many othe parks to hike and Springs to explore. Overall we had a nice stay. The location is good,there is a Dunkin Donuts a few steps away from the hotel, also many other dining options near by. It seemed like that we were the only guests,haven't seen many other cars at the parking lot,we were ther from Monday to Wednesday,I'm sure there are more guests on weekends. read more

The staff is great here- the plastic shield over the front desk seems to be bit much as I thought we were past that shield stuff... the free breakfast is very simple, it's set up right next to the front desk but they have the same stuff any other Hilton offers. The bed was ok- rooms fine, clean. There is not much around here for any kind of nightlife or any kind of views it's all highway- the pool closes at dusk so do not plan on a late night swim before bed. The location is Spring Hill if you need to be in this town, it fits the location. Cracker Barrel, Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Dominos, Publix all right next door. Plan accordingly a lot of places close early. read more

For Hernando county this is the best Hilton brand hotel in the area. If you're stuck with a chain/brand like I am, this is the one to stay at while you're in Spring Hill, FL. It's centrally located off of 19 close to Hernando Beach. The parking lot is well lit making me feel a little safer since I'm arriving really late. There are lots of eateries in the area! Matter of fact there is small mall across the street. Before I leave I'll be stopping at Sephora and JCP outlet... The hotel is currently under major renovation and I hope this place will be looking brand new in a few months. It's currently outdated and isn't what I'm used to from the Hilton Hotels. The cleaning crew could and maintenance folks could do a better job at the upkeep of this place. For the time being, they have large construction equipment on one side of the building but they're really not in the way. The staff has been nice and the rooms are clean. With that said this is not a Disney resort but it's definitely not a truck-stop motel. The room was OK; I'll leave it at that!! Not a lot of choices. In Springhill. In the future I will choose another, possibly Motel 6. At least expectations are equal to the cost. Pool very small. And closed at 8:45. Supposedly they do not have a license for night swimming. Hot water almost not existant and minimal toiletries & towels. Very old and dated. First room the carpet was soaked from a supposed cleaning solution spill. They were not sure at first not sure what to do. I said give me another room or I would just leave and go home with a refund. Stayed here from Saturday to today. Nice hotel, we had a issue w/ our room, was originally suppose to have a king size bed & couch. We got a kingsize & no couch. Went down stairs & they gave us a roll away which didnt fit & my husband had to sleep on a chair. The next day they upgraded us to a room that had a couch & kingsize bed. The bathroom also had a tub & separate shower. The room also had a fridge & microwave. We also had quite a few outlets & usb ports which worked out great since we are a family of 3 who have phones & watches & a ipad.. As for food, i really didnt eat here, the week i was here there was no bacon at all, just ham or sausage. Ham had no flavor... they had lil mini omlets w/ i think had veggies was really yummy. The scrambled eggs were meh. They had delicious lil applu muffins. I also saw fruit & cereal, oatmeal & u can make waffles. Overall a great stay... read more

The WORST Hilton property in America. I'm astonished that this is part of the franchise. I've never been in a prison cell, but it has to be very close to this room. My feet literally stuck to the floors. It's that nasty. No pictures on the wall, worn out furniture that is at least 20 years old, and a telephone that apparently (see photo) was underwater at some point. Part of my routine upon arrival to any hotel is to iron my clothes as soon as I can before the next days meetings. This ironing board was stained beyond cleaning, and the iron smelled like an electrical fire about to happen. Seriously. The overall lack of maintenance was obvious. Look at the paint work and door jamb damage. This room is 101. It's the first room off the lobby. But no care is taken despite its proximity to the lobby. The perfume that the comforters are covered in is more than I could take. The smell is so overwhelming I had to ditch the comforter, and find the bath towels and use them for a blanket for the night. Yes - this is how bad it is. This is the type of room that I would expect if I were staying near a truck stop somewhere in a bad neighborhood, but Spring Hill isn't that neighborhood. Clearly - these owners couldn't care less about this property if there was a contest. The owners of this property are without a doubt guilty of negligence despite its mask of an updated lobby. Look at the pictures of room 101 and tell me if you want to stay there. With your shoes sticking to the floor, and the iron about to catch fire. I travel Hilton every single week. This will be brought to their attention. Either this gets fixed, or (probably) it becomes a "Royal inn" that rents by the hour. So sad - this area deserves better. Avoid at all costs read more

Very friendly staff and excellent location! Located near everything you could need, next door is Dunkin and Walmart across the street. Spacious room and comfortable stay for a family of 3. FABULOUS continental breakfast included with stay, lots of choices and everything individually wrapped up. The sign says the 3 hot items change daily on top of the waffle maker , bakery items and hot oatmeal. Hotel has an outdoor pool and small gym. We'll be back again soon! read more

Stayed here again and things have not improved very much. The place looks old and dated. The chairs in our room were stained and dirty looking. The tub had a rounded bottom and was hard to stand in for a shower. The room was well worn but, seemed clean and the beds had clean duvet covers on them. The front entrance was filthy on both sides of the door. The breakfast was OK and the staff seemed friendly. It is a very convenient place to stay and there are many restaurants and shops close by. We will probably give it one more try to see if they get it cleaned up a little. read more

This one did not live up to our expectations as the beds were hard as concrete and parts of the breakfast were either gone or inedible. I did eventually receive a response from Hilton and they said the local hotel had reached out to me. I asked them to re-send but didn't get a response. I've bumped this up by a star nevertheless, though I feel there's still a little to be desired. Apparently it is guests who select the TV channel (though over two separate stays totalling four nights that we were there, it was always the same channel). I would just recommend that the hotel staff use any times when no one is in the dining area to change the channel to a more neutral one. read more

What a god-awful property what a god-awful staff obviously it is extremely poorly managed the god-awful larger desk clerk this morning absolutely ruined my family's Christmas with how extremely nasty she was in the fact that she had the nerve to threaten me completely blew my mind. When I checked in yesterday Christmas Eve the little Indian chick behind the desk was actually pretty nice there was another girl that was working another larger girl with red glasses who kept on side eyeing me and giving me a dirty looks as I was checking in and every time I walk through the lobby I still kept on getting those extremely dirty nasty looks completely blew me away, being a Hilton Honors number with diamond status I travel for work I'm in hotels three to four nights a week and I always stay as a loyal Hilton Honors member at Hilton properties I have never been treated so badly in my life by anyone at any Hilton property besides this one. Extremely noisy guests next door I didn't say anything again it's Christmas I know kids are excited all that fun stuff but the large dog running up and down the hall this morning barking its head off was a little irritating not paying attention to the time with the understanding that all my clocks and everything are set to central time because I'm from Pensacola it's still an hour behind so I thought it was 10:00 not at 11:00 I was in the shower 1101 housekeepers banging on the door like it was on fire or something, so I finished my shower and was out the door by 11:26 again being a diamond member you would think that they would be okay with extending the check out an hour or even 30 minutes I do it all the time everywhere without an issue so as I'm checking out the very large angry hateful God awful person behind the front desk was extremely nasty I made the comment I was a little shocked that housekeepers were banging on the door at 11:00 she replied will check out at 11:00 and it's Christmas so I said well being a diamond member I'm used to at least getting 30 extra minutes or something to get ready just extremely nasty didn't cuss at her wasn't rude to her just simply stating the facts. At this point I was standing there making a cup of coffee to go like I always do at every single Hilton property I'm ever at she got even nastier and started to threaten me you need to leave my property right now you need to not talk to my stuff like that I'm going to call the police if you don't leave right now I spent thousands of dollars with Hilton's all across the country so for a god-awful human being like she was one to ruin my Christmas two to treat me that way blew my mind and then she made the comment you'll never stay at this property or Another Hill and property ever again I'm going to block you and bar you from every Hilton property you do not talk to my staff the way you do the few staff members I did speak to was a simple Merry Christmas so forth so if this God awful human being really hates her life and Christmas and customer service as bad as she does she doesn't need to be behind a front desk anywhere I would have been treated better at a crackhead Motel 6 that was partially on fire absolutely blew me away by this god-awful human being so thank you for ruining my Christmas thank you for putting me in a bad mood for the day that God Only Human Being never has to worry about me staying at that property again there's absolutely no way and I will be filing a complaint with Hilton as well just unbelievable such a horrible staff such a horrible human being as I'm checking out. read more

My stay was August 2018 to see family. I didn't have a car, so I can't talk about the parking. There are side entrance doors, that need a room key to enter and that safety feature is a big positive for me. The hotel lobby was updated and clean, and staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good and varied day to day. Some days had scrambled eggs and ham, and other days had small omelets and sausage. Every day goods were: self-made waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fresh fruit, juices, water, and coffee. I would have appreciated staff wiping the tables down during breakfast, as some tables were dirty. The pool area was cleaned with patio chairs, tables, umbrellas, and lounge chairs. There was also a unisex bathroom, so you don't have to back into the hotel. At night, there are sensor lights that come on and light the area nicely. However, there were NO pool towels available (and I only brought one from the room) and the pool only went to 4.5 feet, which was disappointing. There is one elevator and the stairs are not near the elevator. I can image it's quite busy at check out time. I didn't have a long wait. I stayed on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the pool area and close to the elevator. The room. The bed was comfortable, but too soft my personal preference. There was a firm couch along with a desk and desk-chair - plenty of seating options. The fridge is hidden in the cabinet under the TV, but there is no microwave (there is one in the lobby). There were many available outlets and USB outlets (two USB outlets in each night stand, and two more on the desk area). The room had NO artwork - nothing hanging on the walls, so there was no "homey" feeling - it was more sterile. I spoke with the front desk gal and she said the hotel was being remodeled, explaining the lack of artwork. The bathroom was clean, but didn't get updated yet. The shower curtain was too long in the bathtub causing me to step on it. Also, the floor of the shower was curved, making it difficult to stand flat. The shower also had a grab bar, which was helpful due to the long shower curtain and curved tub. Location was good for me, close to my family's homes. There is a Dunkin Donuts and Domino's Pizza right next door, walkable. And a shopping plaza across the street. I would stay here again, if the price was right. read more

Dirty dirty dirty... Even two days after I told the desk clerk the halls needed vacuumed badly. They weren't touched. The corners of the elevator had years of dirt in them. Our room on the 3rd floor, had an odor and there were no exhaust fans in the bathroom. The bath tub had collapsed in the center and when i stood in it to take a shower. It was very uncomfortable as my feet were pressed against each other because of the Concave shape. The bed linens were soft and cozy. The continental breakfast was plentiful. read more

Wow how truly disappointing my wife's stay at the Hampton Inn Spring Hill Florida was. It's really fascinating because I have just recently traveled from California to Florida with my daughter on her way to doing an internship at Walt Disney World. We stayed in Hampton Inn's all the way there and were extremely pleased with the accommodations and service we received throughout our trip. So much so that when my wife and I went to a concert last month I booked the Hampton Inn and Suites Agora Hills and loved it. When my wife wanted to go visit my daughter in Florida and also visit her sister, I booked Hampton Inn's never thinking twice as I booked her at the Hampton Inn in Orlando and Spring Hill. She thought highly of her stay in Orlando. However that all changed when my wife checked into the Spring Hill yesterday and had to stand around without acknowledgment, while the desk attendants chatted away about personal issues. When they finally decided to assist her, they failed in even the simplest of niceties like a greeting. There was no normal greeting, no thanks for your loyalty as is normal and they were even unwilling to try and accommodate a preference on room location when asked. They just said no. When my wife and daughter got to the room they called down and asked for towels whereby the desk made it clear that this request was an annoyance and they would only if they could find someone to deliver them. When asked for a late check out, my wife was told again no. No discussion no sorry just No. She found mold in the room and the shower curtain and sheets were in tatters on the bottom. She truly thought that maybe it just got taken over by Hilton but found out later that it was always a Hilton. I should have looked at the trip advisor reviews because they are accurate in their ugly description of this hotel. I failed to do so because I got lolled into a trusting disposition due to the number of truly satisfactory stays at the brand I'm a Diamond Member and have already stayed in more than 20 Hilton hotels plus a few this year already. So you might assume I know a thing or two about what is expected. I understand that things happen, however I always expect courtesy and respect when I visit or book my family to visit. My wife also travels with me a bit and knows what to expect at a Hilton, she is truly irritated and I got an earful today. She even noticed that she was not greeted even once from the desk as is the custom at the other Hiltons we have stayed at. This Hampton Inn needs new management or a new name, it clearly isn't a Hilton! So it pains me to have to say that clearly the brand is great for a traveler, just stay away from the Spring Hill Hampton Inn until they fix the problems. read more

Poor attention to detail at this property. The exterior and common areas have undergone a "basic" renovation. My guest room has a general feel of a "budget style" property.....paint drips on tile baseboards at room entry, paint splatters on light fixtures, drywall joint compound smears on bathroom wallpaper.....mis-matched furniture styles and patterns.... poorly repaired ceiling in bathroom from previous water leak, mold spots on ceiling, mold in tub/caulk joints, mis-matched paint in refrigerator/microwave cubby.....cigarette butts littering the areas surrounding the "side" entries. read more

Hampton Inn is normally a great balance of a nice, clean hotel at a reasonable price. This location, while attractively priced, is not the Hampton Inn that most travelers are used to. The problem is that in the Spring Hill/Brooksville market, there are few hotels to choose from. Don't get me wrong. The staff was very pleasant. The room however, was less to be desired. To start, there was something that appeared to be lint (like dryer lint) embedded into the carpet near the Air Conditioning unit. Second, the drain in the tub could not keep up with the shower, 4-6 inches of water accumulate after only a minute of running the shower with the drain wide open. These are issues that I interpret as complacency, as there are few choices for hotels as mentioned above. As soon as someone decides to open a competing hotel, or remodel an existing one, places like this will be done for. If you don't mind a drive about 30-45 minutes north to Ocala, you will find a much better selection of hotels there. read more

In town for a family event and not enough room at the house so I decided to stay close by at this Hampton. The room itself was clean, the bed and pillow comfortable, and I used points so the price was right. Breakfast was standard and nothing special, but it served the purpose. The hotel was quiet even though it was full one night with a large wedding party. It was too cold for me to swim but I did see others taking advantage of the pool. My only real complaint was the towels (and I had three night's experience) were all dinghy. It certainly detracted from the experience and my impression of this location. read more

After staying here, we had a hard time believing this was owned by Hilton. First of all, I wanted to say the breakfasts you served were awesome. Well done. But it went downhill from there. Our bed was literally a pool table covered with a sheet. I have never seen anything like it. It was like sleeping on the hard ground. We woke up every hour throughout the night with pain in our backs and neck. It was the worst night of sleep of our lives. The next day, we had to go to Walmart and get 2-3" foam mattress toppers that cost us $200.00 and then the bed was OK to sleep on. The next morning, I took a hot shower and went to breakfast. My wife then got in the shower and she had no hot water and had to take a cold shower with it only getting warm the last 2 minutes she was in the shower. The sink leaked onto the floor anytime you used it, so we had to keep a towel on the floor underneath the sink. When we were at Walmart, we got water bottles and put them in the fridge and it froze them all so we couldn't even drink them as they burst. The male manager or employee that worked there while I and others were at breakfast, was talking to the woman who worked there from Puerto Rico (She was very nice), and was complaining the whole time about another employee not showing up on time and how lazy she was, which I thought was totally inappropriate in front of hotel guests. After he stopped talking to her, I said to him, "Your breakfasts here are really good". He wouldn't even look up from his phone and he said, "Nice" to me without even looking at me. Can you get anymore rude? Also the TV had no guide and so you had to scroll through every single channel to find something to watch and see what was on, instead of seeing what was on and then clicking on it. Pain in the butt. It was not a good experience whatsoever and like I said, I could not believe this had the name "Hilton" in it's name. read more

Our room was 117. We didn't experience dampness, cigarette smells, or peeling wall paper like some of the other reviewers. Our room was so exceptionally clean that I gave a larger than usual tip to the guy who cleaned the room. Just two problems. There is a large gap between the door and the wall on the door nob side. Light comes in between this gap. At the bottom of the door the gap is wide enough to see a little tile and carpet outside the door. Room 117 is the second room from a door. The gap also makes the room noisier. If the door had a better seal it would have been quieter. Being the second room from the door we could hear the door every time it was opened and shut, especially at 12:30 in the morning when a group of people came in, rudely talking and letting the door shut hard multiple times. The only other problem was the air conditioner. We had it set at 72 when we went to sleep, but when the group came in at 12:30 I felt a little warm.It did not feel like 72 in the room. I turned it down again and again until the a/c read 66. There's no way it was 66 in there. So the temp control on the unit is not accurate. We were actually very pleased with breakfast, there was a variety of things, a little something for everyone. Staff was very friendly. When we booked the room there were no other rooms that fit our needs so it's not like we could request another room. Our stay was for one night. Lesson to be learned. Never get a room near a door that leads to the parking lot. And from past experience at other hotels, never get a room next to the elevator. read more

Apparently, Hampton/Hilton does not give AAA discounts for rooms that are rented when they are nearly full occupancy. Also, the room was partially painted, bare walled, without a microwave or refrigerator. The bathroom door barely opened and was so small I had to hug the door to use the toilet. This is one of those older Hampton Inns. You know, the ones that are kinda decorated like your grandma's place and that have very lived-in well-worn look, the ones that don't have any suites? It's a far cry from the shiny new modern pretty ones, but then the price should tell you that on its own. At roughly 80 bucks a night and with not much else in town that you've ever heard of, it's definitely a keeper though. Small pool, the grounds were maintained, the rooms were clean, and everything was in working order. The rooms near the elevator on the 3rd floor were smoking rooms, so it didn't smell super fresh when we got upstairs, but it wasn't an overwhelming "ugh, smoke" smell. Just... a little stale, I guess. I heard absolutely zero from any neighboring rooms (though it's not like there were a lot of people there) and I didn't wake up with an angry back from a plywood-like bed. We decided to sleep in for once on this trip, so I have zero clue what the breakfast area was like. If you're headed to Weeki Wachee to see the cheesy awesome mermaids and need a place to stay, this is an inexpensive safe bet. What more is there to say? read more

I stayed there on a night I had been driving for hours and I had to pull over. I went to the first hotel that I could find. It was a big mistake. I was bitten by bed bugs all over went and transferred rooms. All I wanted to do was shower but I was too nervous to use their towels. I didn't realize the extent of the bites till I took pictures. It was horrible. I hope that no one has to be put in that situation ever. I kept feeling things on the bed that looked like lent. After I kept itching I pulled down the covers and realized that the bed was infested. Please check your hotel beds before laying in them. Worst experience ever. read more

JEN at the front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. I arrived much earlier (12:00) than the standard 3:00 pm check in due to a funeral. After a four hour drive I wanted to change and settle beforehand. I explained to Jen my predicament and she said she would try to help, but it may take an hour or longer. I said I would be at the Cracker Barrel across the street. After approximately 20 minutes I received a phone call and Jen said my room was ready. Apparently JEN and ANNA from housekeeping made it a priority and my room was ready. OUTSTANDING SERVICE FROM ALL INVOLVED. read more
