They say have a fitness room. But it is only medicine balls, 2 treadmills and a standing bike. But lots of towels if you need one. More later on the room. Check in includes cookies, coffee and waters. A Town recommend dining list and breakfast tomorrow included. Update: all checked in. Nice room. I think the tv could be bigger. I m hoping we get Netflix choices. Nice bed, totally quiet and a HUGE bathroom. The size of a small room in France. LOL.

Amazing hot tub. Definitely bring your swim gear and enjoy this!

If you're coming to Oneonta, book the Hampton Inn Oneonta. The staff is amazing. Jodi and Mary were so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, quiet and the beds are amazing comfortable. If you want rest and relaxation, you'll get it here. The pool and hot tub area was so enjoyable. This is definitely a family friendly hotel. They have a really nice breakfast with hot items and lots of other choices food items and coffee. I cant say enough good things about this property. The is my hotel of choice when I'm doing shows in Oneonta. I highly recommend the Hampton!

This is where the PTAC control should be.

Pretty typical Hampton Inn experience as of the last three years. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk was busy and called a male employee to assist us. He was friendly and promptly checked us in. However, we did have to ask for our gold reward, water & and snack, but it was presented promptly. After arriving in our room, we wanted to unwind, so we sat on the sofa. Unfortunately, the cold air was blowing so forcefully out of the PTAC that it was uncomfortable. I looked around for the wall control to change the setting and couldn't find it. We tried to control the unit from the front panel, but that didn't have any effect over the unit. We couldn't even turn it off. Next, we tried to place a towel over the vent so it wouldn't blow directly on us; however, the air was blowing so forcefully that the idea was a bust. With all of our resources exhausted, we called the front desk to ask how to turn off the unit. The woman answering said she had no idea and handed the phone over to the man who checked us in. He indicated that the units are controlled by a wall control. Since we couldn't find the wall control, he offered to come up to assist. Upon his arrival, he confirmed that the wall control had been removed. He, too, attempted to shut off the PTAC unit to no avail. As a last resort, he removed the front cover, went underneath it, and loosened the plug until it shut off. He apologized profusely and said they would have moved us, but they were fully booked. He offered to come back to plug it back in before we went to bed, but we opted for the instructions. This man (I wish I had his name) was extremely helpful and very friendly. Sitting on the sofa presented another issue. The lighting above the sofa from the floor lamp was not conducive to holding a conversation. It was blinding. The lighting in these rooms could certainly be more thoughtful/purposeful. Lastly, the breakfast buffet. It was representative of how the buffets have become, nutritionally lacking. The hot offerings were 1) oatmeal, 2) "western omelet," and 3) French toast sticks (these were actually cold). There weren't any meat options, but there were plenty of other sugary or carby options, including toast or bagels (sorry, no utensils were available to actually take one) and cereal. The ENTIRE TIME we were getting our food and eating we were listening to a woman complaining to another staff member that someone had called out. They were standing just inside the door behind the food station. (She was loud, angry, and frustrated) Unfortunately, this is what our typical Hilton hotel experience has been like as we attempt to spend down over 1 million Hilton points acquired by years of loyalty to this brand. In our eyes, "Hilton Hotels" is no longer synonymous with "excellent service."

The staff were all amazing, especially this woman Mary who checked us in. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, even on recommending wonderful restaurants nearby. The room seemed clean and well cared for, except that it had a 12"x18" stain on the ceiling in one spot sortof above the bed. The pull-out couch was terribly uncomfortable to sit on, but otherwise everything was great. The room had a refrigerator and microwave, which were a huge plus. The pool and hot tub were nice and there was also a fitness area and a business center (neither of which I actually used, but it was good to know they're there). I witnessed them cleaning various different areas numerous times during my stay, which made me feel good about staying here. I also rather enjoyed the included breakfast, which had Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, plus cereals, juices and coffee. While not as good as a restaurant breakfast - not having to leave to get a fresh cup of coffee or eat breakfast was a plus. Also the big fresh chocolate chip cookies on check in were a terrific welcome!! Even the housekeepers were friendly and accommodating when I asked for a few extra towels. I would stay again, without hesitation.

Very friendly staff. Grounds are kept up well and the rooms are what we'd expect from a Hampton Inn. I will definitely stay here again. Pics are outside my window and of the beautiful hostas outside the pool area. and...Emily, at the front desk, is the best at providing directions and the best restaurants in the area.

The view of the patio in the back is really nice. The fixtures and furnishings in the room aren't cheap, rickety and outdated, unlike what you would find at any of the big name lodgings nearby. The main thing that might bother some people is the train nearby. I did hear it at night while I was sleeping. However it wasn't bad enough to ruin my night's sleep. Pat and Sandy who own the inn are very friendly and helpful. Raquel, who maintains and operates the inn is very responsive and professional. Also they don't list prices on their website but they are on par with the rates in the area (all hotels have different rates for rooms, seasons, stay durations, etc.). You are getting a decent to good value for your money. Stay here instead of the other big name chains in the area or the unregulated Airbnbs that are always a gamble.

For the naysayers on here that worry about the money (yes, it does cost money) but if you worry about that then don't worry about coming here, no offense. If you go to hotel, they charge you for wi-fi at some places, lol. Once you are past the money part, the whole baseball experience is about the kids learning to bond with their teammates. It about the kids getting a chance to play with other teams from across the globe (we have played boys from Philly, Jersey, Cali)! There are life lessons for the boys here too. Learning to live on their own, learning to overcome adversity if things do not go their way or if the food is not exactly to their liking. Then the boys get to go to Cooperstown, NY and the Baseball Hall of Fame! Now, that place is SPECIAL. It may bring a grown man whom loves baseball to tears and a kid to joy to see their favorite player's picture or home-run ball. If your team gets a chance, grab it, and forget the money and grab the memories for you never know when something "may be the last". Player/Coaches Food: I stayed in the bunks with the team so to de-bunk some of the concerns from the parents' reviews of wait times and food quality. The first night was the only night for any waiting for food. All other times, I never had to wait for food. I would walk right up and start going through the lines. They serve food 6am-9/10pm (not sure what time they closed every night). I thought that since they were feeding over 1,000 people everyday that the food was not bad. However, the parents were getting stories from the picky kids that the food was gross lol. Some days it was better than others but overall it kept us fed, with a mix of proteins, carbs and veggies. Safety/Medical: Top Notch and respond quick. We had a few medical events for players and a parent and every-time, the medical staff was there within minutes. They were all super friendly and took excellent care of our team. Barracks/Bathroom/Showers: This was a tough job for the staff since the kids are lawless without their parents around. If they escape coaches eye for a minute they are doing dumb things. So, the bathrooms are messy and the bunks smell like locker rooms at times but no one really cares when you are on site since you are there playing baseball. The staff cleans it up every day but literally within minutes, it is wrecked again. So, go into the barracks with the mindset that it is like camping. It is not the Taj Mahal and don't expect a Grand Hyatt service. However, I did wake up in the middle of baseball heaven everyday and loved every minute we got to share it with the team. For when we got to look out on the diamonds with the rolling hills in the background, nothing else really matters. Enjoy!!

It is poorly organized where the management wants everyone to convene for three hours before they let you on property. There is trash sitting around with tons of bees, there is no shade and the lines for the bathrooms, without paper products, is long because they only have four stalls for about 500 people. There is no food except for milkshakes and ice cream and the parking situation is a nightmare. We had to walk over half a mile with all of our stuff because there was only one shuttle running with a lot of people vying for a seat. For the amount of times they do this each week, you would think the management would be better organized. I am really hoping that the first few hours of this experience is not indicative of the rest of the week. Here is hoping for something better.

We booked on booking.com because they rated it highly (very false advertising!!) From the moment you pull into the parking lot you get that "ghetto" vibe. Broken down parking lot, nobody in it, weeds growing on the sides. Then you walk into the hotel and you get hit with a terrible oder that lingers throughout every hallway. They have a poorly lit gym with 4 terribly working machines and a pool that has a TERRIBLE smell and bacteria floating at the top (probably get some STD swimming in that!!) The hotel is extremely outdated and gross. The elevator starts shaking when you get in it. You almost wanna ask yourself how a hotel like this is still allowed to operate !! There was mold on the walls, celling was crumbling, a strong bad oder coming from the room that stayed on my shirt and the toilet seat was half off!! Even read some reviews about bed bugs!! And then the front desk ladies are sitting very creepy knitting. And THEN to top it all of, an SNUNK walked right past the front door as we were leaving. God knows what was under those musty mattresses !! Overall terrible vibes.
