This is the bag that's over the smoke alarm in the room for 412.

I was trying to make this so it was zero stars!! I had stayed one night with this hotel this past Friday and I left on April on Saturday and this was a family trip with me and my daughter for the college. When I first checked in, I did give them my debit card information for incidentals cause I have to take $50 at least put a hold on it so after I left, I let the lady know at the front desk. There was a bag tied to the smoke alarm that I noticed, and I let her know that I googled that to look it up and it says that people smoke so I was just letting her know that it could be something to watch out. So then the next day Sunday rolls around and at three or 4 PM I get charged $300 and I called the hotel very upset and they said I was smoking. I've never smoked a day in my life!!!!!!!! When I called the hotel, a gentleman answered the phone saying that Hannah Roe was not in. She's a general manager and she charged me !!gShe was not in, but I did email her twice and received no response. Then I called Monday and spoke to her directly when I first called and asked her if she received my emails and she said yes, and she says that she had a video of cigarettes in the toilet and ashes on the windowsill and I asked her if she had room she says yes and I said I think so. I didn't memorize the room. My daughter doesn't smoke. I don't smoke and I would never be disrespectful to a hotel. I put the towels in the shower and everything cause I know how it is for housekeeping I make sure everything is cleaned up and there's nothing in the fridge and everything, she was she told me that a maintenance inspector that took a video I've never even heard of a maintenance inspector and as I'm writing this 11 PM on Monday I received at 10:03 my $300 that I've been bitching about this is not about just the money this is disgusting behavior they scammed me and I will not let up. I'll never stay here again!!!! The general manager Hannah also stated that she wouldn't give me her bosses information because I left a complete with corporate customer service. Basically it's against the rule . I found different numbers through different states and called anybody I could and I could continue to do that until someone listens. I didn't even get an apology. I was crying stressed out and I was going to be in the negative. My bank account literally screwed me over. They took money from me and I'm a single parent with four children. It is disgusting how this works and I will not be scammed like this now I have to be very vigilant every hotel I ever stay in because they've made it now, so I don't trust hotels and they've already caused stress on my body and my emotions messed up. It was hard for me to work today because this was a nightmare.!!!

    Beautiful view and comfortable bedding!

Very conveniently located. Breakfast every morning helped cut down expenses for at least one meal a day for our family. The kids loved the waffle bar, and my middle guy became quite the barista this trip. He loved running down and making my coffee every day! During our week stay they also made popcorn one of the days, shared pizza and had snacks available for us because I was a member. My kids enjoyed the pool and small arcade. They also had a small laundry room which was so helpful. Staff were so kind and accommodating. We loved our stay and cannot wait to visit again someday!

The staff is nice, the location is pretty accessible (it's just down the road from the Walmart), and it's pretty easy to get on to 88. One time I was here, I swear the heat was turned off in the lobby. It felt like it was literally 12 degrees. Not sure what happened that day. Anyway, they have breakfast service which is always really well maintained. The prices can really fluctuate depending on whether or not the Cooperstown Hall of Fame games are going on or if it's Parents' Week for the SUNY colleges. The spikes happen all the time; it's kind of crazy. Other than that, it's a solid hotel. Very consistent experience.

The view of the patio in the back is really nice. The fixtures and furnishings in the room aren't cheap, rickety and outdated, unlike what you would find at any of the big name lodgings nearby. The main thing that might bother some people is the train nearby. I did hear it at night while I was sleeping. However it wasn't bad enough to ruin my night's sleep. Pat and Sandy who own the inn are very friendly and helpful. Raquel, who maintains and operates the inn is very responsive and professional. Also they don't list prices on their website but they are on par with the rates in the area (all hotels have different rates for rooms, seasons, stay durations, etc.). You are getting a decent to good value for your money. Stay here instead of the other big name chains in the area or the unregulated Airbnbs that are always a gamble.

For the naysayers on here that worry about the money (yes, it does cost money) but if you worry about that then don't worry about coming here, no offense. If you go to hotel, they charge you for wi-fi at some places, lol. Once you are past the money part, the whole baseball experience is about the kids learning to bond with their teammates. It about the kids getting a chance to play with other teams from across the globe (we have played boys from Philly, Jersey, Cali)! There are life lessons for the boys here too. Learning to live on their own, learning to overcome adversity if things do not go their way or if the food is not exactly to their liking. Then the boys get to go to Cooperstown, NY and the Baseball Hall of Fame! Now, that place is SPECIAL. It may bring a grown man whom loves baseball to tears and a kid to joy to see their favorite player's picture or home-run ball. If your team gets a chance, grab it, and forget the money and grab the memories for you never know when something "may be the last". Player/Coaches Food: I stayed in the bunks with the team so to de-bunk some of the concerns from the parents' reviews of wait times and food quality. The first night was the only night for any waiting for food. All other times, I never had to wait for food. I would walk right up and start going through the lines. They serve food 6am-9/10pm (not sure what time they closed every night). I thought that since they were feeding over 1,000 people everyday that the food was not bad. However, the parents were getting stories from the picky kids that the food was gross lol. Some days it was better than others but overall it kept us fed, with a mix of proteins, carbs and veggies. Safety/Medical: Top Notch and respond quick. We had a few medical events for players and a parent and every-time, the medical staff was there within minutes. They were all super friendly and took excellent care of our team. Barracks/Bathroom/Showers: This was a tough job for the staff since the kids are lawless without their parents around. If they escape coaches eye for a minute they are doing dumb things. So, the bathrooms are messy and the bunks smell like locker rooms at times but no one really cares when you are on site since you are there playing baseball. The staff cleans it up every day but literally within minutes, it is wrecked again. So, go into the barracks with the mindset that it is like camping. It is not the Taj Mahal and don't expect a Grand Hyatt service. However, I did wake up in the middle of baseball heaven everyday and loved every minute we got to share it with the team. For when we got to look out on the diamonds with the rolling hills in the background, nothing else really matters. Enjoy!!

It is poorly organized where the management wants everyone to convene for three hours before they let you on property. There is trash sitting around with tons of bees, there is no shade and the lines for the bathrooms, without paper products, is long because they only have four stalls for about 500 people. There is no food except for milkshakes and ice cream and the parking situation is a nightmare. We had to walk over half a mile with all of our stuff because there was only one shuttle running with a lot of people vying for a seat. For the amount of times they do this each week, you would think the management would be better organized. I am really hoping that the first few hours of this experience is not indicative of the rest of the week. Here is hoping for something better.

We booked on booking.com because they rated it highly (very false advertising!!) From the moment you pull into the parking lot you get that "ghetto" vibe. Broken down parking lot, nobody in it, weeds growing on the sides. Then you walk into the hotel and you get hit with a terrible oder that lingers throughout every hallway. They have a poorly lit gym with 4 terribly working machines and a pool that has a TERRIBLE smell and bacteria floating at the top (probably get some STD swimming in that!!) The hotel is extremely outdated and gross. The elevator starts shaking when you get in it. You almost wanna ask yourself how a hotel like this is still allowed to operate !! There was mold on the walls, celling was crumbling, a strong bad oder coming from the room that stayed on my shirt and the toilet seat was half off!! Even read some reviews about bed bugs!! And then the front desk ladies are sitting very creepy knitting. And THEN to top it all of, an SNUNK walked right past the front door as we were leaving. God knows what was under those musty mattresses !! Overall terrible vibes. We were lucky enough to cancel the room and head to the Hampton Inn Cooperstown which was so much cleaner and more accommodating. DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. !!

For about $200 a night on a weeknight in the summer, I was able to get a room with a king size bed, jacuzzi, and couch. The room was spacious and had a microwave, tv, USB charger ports, and fridge. Breakfast is from 7-10am and includes all sorts of breads and muffins, eggs, a protein (bacon, but may rotate), home fries, a waffle maker, apples, bananas, OJ, chocolate milk, regular milk (I think? It's is all unlabeled), coffee, and cereal. There are 5 tables in the breakfast room with 4 tables around each, so at maximum, the room would fit about 20 people. The toilet bowl had brown water in it when I got into the room and one of the pillow cases was dirty. There are baskets of fruits in the lobby where there's one elevator. The pool is near the reception desk. There's a Keurig in the lobby, but no Keurig in the room. Parking is free and there are many spots. There's were about 10 cars in the parking lot when I woke up, but at check-in, I was told whether or not I could do a late check-out was dependent on if my room needed to be turned over at 11am.

But you can't recognize any renovations... there is peeling wallpaper everywhere (common areas and guest rooms), torn carpets, chipped flooring throughout, chipped furniture throughout, mildew in the showers. The website also says they have an on-site restaurant and coffee makers in all the rooms. However, the restaurant is permanently closed and no coffee makers unless you request one at the front desk. On the brighter side, the A/C worked well and the bed was comfortable, although I was afraid to look under the bed when I dropped something on the floor. We had already prepaid, so we couldn't get a refund, so we spent as little time at the Marx as possible.
