It's a rather new hotel. The beds were very comfortable, pillows were nice and fluffy firm-but not too firm. It was so quiet that it was easy for us to get a good nights sleep. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We called down to the front desk and requested a couple more towels, staff delivered towels in just a few minutes. There's a huge parking area and a park. We have told everyone we know about The Hampton in. Lewiston. It seriously ii five-star hotel! read more

I've stayed at this Hampton multiple times and have previously reported carpet beetle activity in the rooms. I trusted it was handled, but during my most recent stay, I began experiencing itching from what looked like bug bites. Subsequently, I discovered the mattress seams were covered with debris -- hair, toenail clippings, crumbs, several live carpet beetle larvae, and another unidentified bug. Front desk staff moved me to another room on another floor, which was in the same unsanitary and filthy condition under the mattress. I checked out immediately. Management later offered a generic apology and 10,000 points, only after I reached out myself. They didn't reply to my follow up email when I explained this is a health and sanitation issue, not an inconvenience. The lack of response is concerning. This property clearly has an ongoing pest and housekeeping problem that poses a public health concern. I'm posting this so Hilton corporate is aware and guests can make an informed decision before booking. read more

Clean rooms, clean towels, comfortable bed and the normal amenities. It was snowing the day I was there and they were busy keeping the sidewalks clear. Nice lobby/dining area. Breakfast was okay. Lots of parking and warm cookies at night. At least there was on the Tuesday night that I was there. There's a movie theater, shopping mall (Ross, TJ Maxx, etc,), and a restaurant not to far away. We often stay at Hampton Inn Hotels when traveling and have always been pleased with the accommodations, complimentary breakfast, and overall service. However, our stay at Hampton Inn in Lewiston was very disappointing. We stayed there two different weekends this month and commuted to Moscow for football games. I had booked two rooms under my name for family members several weeks earlier. The first weekend we checked into the hotel, our rooms were both on the 4th floor but at completely opposite ends of the building. We expressed our disapproval but were told the hotel was completely booked and nothing could be done. While checking out, we asked that our booked rooms for two weeks later could be near each other. We were told "no guarantees but we will see what we can do." This time our rooms were at opposite ends of the building and on different floors. Totally unacceptable. As for the complimentary breakfast, three of the four mornings we were there, staff had to be told to replenish food in the chafing dishes. It was not a matter of simply replacing food but waiting for food prep. We were not the only ones disappointed in the service. Again, nothing like we have experienced before. I am not in the habit of writing negative reviews; but improvements need to be made. I am sure there is considerable competition in the hotel industry. TV keeps locking up and in the morning when I went to take a shower there was no soap in the bottle. Flooring is dirty, Drapes yellow for dirt. Room smell. View is nice if you get the right room odd numbers. read more

We had a wonderful 3 days stay! The view of the Snake River was amazing from the patio. Had our breakfast every morning outside. Watched the fireworks and a fire. The staff where always friendly and helpful. We brought our 3 dogs and everyone was so welcoming and friendly to them. Room was clean and comfortable. Found a bed bug in the room we reserved. Though the front desk staff was accomodating in finding us another room, the manager seemed unconcerned (he only communicated with the staff via phone about the issue and about their struggles to switch our room, didn't reach out to us at all about the problem, and left us on our own to search the new room for bugs). We won't be staying here ever again, and still aren't sure that the second room was free of bugs that may have infested our home as a result of our stay. read more

8/17/19 - 8/18/19 We stayed here overnight on our trip from Reno and back again. The lady at the counter, around 9PM, was very friendly and courteous. Our room was modern looking and had all of the amenities that we wanted/needed, minus a nice view. The room and bathroom were both clean. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The room darkening blinds were a nice addition! The breakfast, while there was plenty of food to choose from, was not that good. This was a great stay! The staff were very accommodating. We were there for a job interview and showed up a day early. They gave us the same room on our reservation so we didn't have to move rooms. They were friendly and gave great recommendations for things to do or places to eat. One side of this hotel faces the parking lot and movie theater next door. The other side faces the river. So when you check in make sure you get an odd numbered room that faces the river. read more

First impression... Front Desk staff a little rude upon arrival. The two young ladies were discussing either a mutual friend or another employee in a far less than favorable light and elected to finish that conversation while I was at the counter to get checked in. (*Girls. What you think of someone is none of the customers business. Discuss it off site, and off company time where we cant hear you.) The building is new and clean, pool was ok but small and there is no hot tub to soothe your weary bones after a 6 hour drive to get there. Even when closing the doors to the rooms gently they are extremely LOUD when the door meets the frame. Maybe some kind of adhesive backed thin strip of padding would help (since we were up most of the night listening to the people across the hall go in and out every half hour or so). Breakfast was good, standard fare for a hotel complimentary breakfast and the area was clean. There is no option for a milk alternative, so I didnt have a lot of choice in what to eat, but my family enjoyed it. The meats offered were not the normal tiny little links and thin patty sausage or super thin bacon... it was canadian bacon and sliced kielbasa sausage which was an awesome surprise, and very good! No hashbrowns or potatoes, though. There is a fabulous outside area off the breakfast room/lobby with tables to sit and enjoy the view... except that they keep the door locked so you have to ask to be let out of the building in order to make use of the space and enjoy it. Quite inconvenient, and a little strange since you can come in that door at any time with your room key. They told us it was for security reasons. Uh, ok? You are locking us IN, not out. How exactly does that work for security reasons?? Bizarre. They have the room lights tied to your key card. In order for the lights to work you have to keep your key inserted into a holder on the wall near the door. This is, again, extremely inconvenient and very irritating if you have a family in the room who are all going different places while one stays behind. (FYI, the units seem to be coded so just sticking a business card in it doesnt work). The location is awesome, it has a wonderful view and theres shopping, dining, and a theater in walking distance (Ernies Steakhouse was fantastic!). But we probably wont be staying at this location again. read more

My company had our National Sales meeting in Lewiston. I've never been to Idaho or Washington state. Gorgeous views! We stayed here Monday through Thursday. The hotel is very nice and clean. My room was huge and bed was very comfortable. I love the views of the hills and river from the lobby, breakfast area. Breakfast was the same as other Hampton Inn properties but I appreciated it as we were stuck in a meeting room for two full days. read more

This is by far the best hotel in the area. New, clean, friendly staff and a tremendous breakfast included! The breakfast was well-stocked with large variety, including mango and strawberry Chobani smoothies chilled to perfection! Ask for top floor with river view. It's overall very quiet - you don't hear the doors slam like you do in other hotels. The only down side is the view window is quite small. The AC unit has a constant on fan feature (which helps you sleep). read more

We've stayed here twice now (Dec 2018 & June 2019). My mom needs a handicap room, which they were able to accommodate both times. In December, they had me on the first floor with her as well but this time they put me on the second floor. It is ideal for the care-taker to be close by. The pool is ok but my son chipped his front tooth on the bottom of it, on his birthday. Breakfast bar is really good compared to many I've been to. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. The sheer curtain another reviewer posted about is only an issue if you can't figure out the blind behind it. You need to roll the chain to get it up or down and is not easily visible. This has to be one of the best stays i've had in a while at a hotel around this price point! An incredible value for the amenities! For around $100 it includes a brand new building/linens/comfortable and premium pillows--fully stocked bathroom essentials incase you forget anything--brand new samsung HD tv--coffee maker and great view! The customer service is outstanding also - always smiling and greeting guests as they come and go! Complimentary coffee and tea 24/7. In the morning they've got an omelet station w ham or sausage and a whole buffet of other options from chobani yogurt to fresh fruit--oatmeal and an assortment of bread! 1 am and guess what? This beautiful room is lite a Christmas tree...parking lot lights! Can't close the curtains! They have a sheer curtain in the middle panel it does NOT keep lights out so if you like to sleep in the dark no dice! Whom ever designed this place must not enjoy sleeping in the dark. The service was awful. My sister and I had to sleep on a sofa sleeper and there was no bedding on it. I called the front desk and they said they would not bring it up to our room. When we went to the front fest we waited 5 minutes to even get the attention of someone. When we did get the bedding we where given a thin sheet a flat pillow and a blanket that felt like and old, scratchy, curtain. Throughout the night I was cold because my so-called blanket was very thin. I had to use one for the couch cushions to support my head because the pillow was so flat. The view was supposed to be good but there are rocks that impact the overall view. This hotel is also extremely over priced. The breakfast consisted of a yogurt, two boiled eggs in a bag, and a very very cold bagel with no cream cheese and nothing to put on it. I also got apple juice and it was warm. They have cut corners in every place they can. I would not recommend staying here at all. read more

The foyer of this hotel looked like some of the beautiful boutique hotels where I have previously stayed. They have food and drink options from their pantry store available all hours. The complementary breakfast included surprising options such as egg white frittata and blue berry waffles. There is an available laundry center that I didn't use but looked clean and modern. The view was fantastic from the outdoor patio area that had various seating options. The guest rooms were modern, spacious, and offered various seating options. A super cool feature was the shower! The shower head and temp control hardware were on opposite ends of the shower so you could actually adjust the speed and temperature without getting your head soaking wet! This was something I wish I had in my house. Finally the staff, they were the icing on the cake. Everyone I encountered was accommodating, friendly and generally very kind. I was in town for the funeral of my beloved aunt and they made me fell cared for, and they didn't know why I was there. Thank you read more

I booked a 1 King bed room here for one night a few weeks in advance. I got my email confirmation saying that I had reserved a 1 King bed room. Upon arrival, we checked in, got our room keys and headed to our room. Upon entering the room, we noticed it was a 2 queen bed room. Confused, thinking this was some sort of mixup my husband called the front desk and asked what had happened. The front desk employee said that our reservation said we had booked a room with 2 queen beds. When I showed the employee my reservation confirmation email it showed 1 king bed, but when he saw it on his end it showed 2 queen beds. The hotel, for some reason, had been completely booked out and we weren't able to be moved into a king room like I had booked. I'm not sure what happened, but I believe our King room was given away to someone else accidentally. When we got to our room we noticed a used towel in the closet as well that had been left behind. Since our stay was during the Covid-19 pandemic, we were told and assured that room cleanliness was a priority, and that they were thoroughly checking and cleaning each room. This makes me wonder what else they didn't check, or clean. The first time we stayed in this hotel two years ago all was great! I'm not sure if there was a management turnover or something, but it was really disappointing this time around. Standards have fallen. I'm sad to say we won't be booking here again. read more

Having recently retired from the law enforcement profession looking forward to spending time with family that we haven't been able to do in sometime due to Covid, we expected a better experience. We walked into the room and there were someone else's clothes in the closet. Someone had left a makeup brush on the floor and the room was not clean. Our stay was 3 nights. During our stay no one retrieved the clothes when the room was "cleaned" and the makeup brush remained on the floor after the room was "cleaned". The rotating microwave in the room had no plate inside to set your food on. When we spoke with the manager about these things on checkout he shifted the blame to us. Told us it was "suspicious" we never brought these things up on our first day. I had taken photos of the microwave and other issues and the manager did not want to see them. Then he stated that the owner of the clothing did call about leaving them in our room but he did not want to disturb us to retrieve the clothing. Seriously? This is an excuse and is disingenuous. The cleaning staff could not have taken the clothes when they supposedly "cleaned" the room? Not to mention the owner of the clothing that called. What if we had decided to take the clothing? The manager had a responsibility to that person to retrieve and protect their property. The manager did apologize (because that's what they tell them to do) but shifted the blame to us, the customer. He told us they would have moved us to a clean room if we would have made them aware of it on day one. The impression I got from the manager's dismissive attitude was that they do not clean most of the rooms as a policy/practice and if anyone complains they offer a new "clean" room. read more

This particular location feels pretty new and the location is nice with a view of the river valley from a nicely maintained outdoor seating area off the lobby. This is a quality location and I use it often when traveling through Lewiston. I wasn't too impressed for the price. I have stayed at much nicer hotels for less. I asked for a discount on the room because my son was having surgery the next day and was told they wouldn't give me the usual rate because the were getting full for the night. The fitness room is nice. They have good equipment that is new. The pool was clean and functional. The breakfast was below par for a hotel. My daughter even commented that it wasn't very good and didn't eat most of it. Eggs were powder like and bacon extremely thin. I would expect better for over $200 a night! read more
