This is a great location that's close to restaurants, shopping and a quick on/off the highway, if you have a vehicle. However, there is lot that needs to be improved! Used digital check-in, so cannot comment on desk service, nor breakfast. Hallway carpet is old, the heating system is antiquated. Rooms had a stinch upon entering & seemed clean at a quick glance, but it wasn't until 3-hrs later when it was noticed the sheets were not discarded as they should have been. The pictures provide enough reason to toss the sheets. A call to the desk asking for a new sheet resulting in receipt of a bed spread. Not what was requested. At this point a keen eye is now searching for other neglected areas. The bathroom had several pieces of hair on the lip of the tub as well as ants in the tub and on the floor. Lastly, which I consider a huge safety concern for disabled personnel, the elevator was intermittent. It would not stop at certain floors. Guests, with their pets, had to get off at levels higher than desired and use the stairwell. A pro: shower pressure was decent. read more

Excellent and more staff and very conveniently located. The staff is certainly what sets this location above all other Hampton Inn's I've stayed at. Each staff member went above and beyond and were friendly, accommodating, professional and competent. There is more than ample parking and the access to and from rooms is quick and easy. The beds are extremely comfortable. The four pillows per bed vary and so finding the perfect one was easy. The front lobby is spotless as is the bar and free breakfast area. There is a nice pool and outdoor tanning deck area. There is a bar in the back in a separate building. The bartender is miserable to the point we wondered if it was a shtick. read more

Ms Katasha Dorsey made our stay wonderful before we even got there. We were coming down for my wife's birthday and had to drop off our GSD off at the kennel but had our elderly Chihuahua with us. We asked about someplace to eat before check in and she recommended the silver diner and that was a good one. All the food was great but their Bloody Mary mix is some of the best I've ever had. My wife works nights and had no sleep so we asked about an early check in so she could grab a nap before hitting our favorite place for crabs. She gave us multiple options and was very pleasant with a great sense of humor and that goes a long way with us. Avery's Maryland grille!! Run don't walk to this place!! We don't get crabs at the beach anymore as it seems they are pretty inconsistent these days. We lived in Bethany and we love our crabs. Welp yelp we are off to Lazy Fish for the best sushi in town to end our birthday weekend. I forgot to add that we hit Regal for a 4DX movie. Not terrible but absolutely not great. Place was packed, which is fine, except that one of the only two elevators was out of service. Average wait was a good 3 minutes -- no exaggeration. Every. Time. In the room the thermostat was ... completely not-understandable. Temp (I think??) range was from 19 to 22.5. I have NO idea what that means, and it was not truly adjustable anyway. Our room was cold which it turned out was fine as we do sleep better in colder temps. As for my standard hotel bath towel test: Complete failure. I always hope for and expect big-ass huge bath towels. Large and thick. These were like large washcloths. Yeah I got dry but barely. On the plus side, the free morning hot breakfast was surprisingly large with a good variety. Busy but that's our fault for sleeping in. This is definitely a one-night-stay kind of place. I certainly wouldn't do more. All of these, and others, may sound like small issues but being a Hilton guy for life (Diamond member for years) I always expect better. read more

We were traveling between a weekend in DC and going to visit friends in Hagerstown, Maryland. We had previously lived in Frederick, Maryland, so we figured Frederick would be a good place to stay. The Hapton Inn is conveniently located right next to the highway, so it is very easy to find. The property has an outdoor pool, a big outdoor patio with a fireplace, and a gazebo soon to become a functioning bar. The lobby area is spacious for their complimentary breakfast every morning. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was functional but very loud. Our bathroom was out of conditioner. The breakfast area was also low on coffee, forks, and juice cups. This might have been due to the large number of male sporting teams staying at the hotel. read more

A smoky Hampton Inn in Frederick Maryland. I told the front desk girl that my room smells like smoke and asked if I could please see another room. She responded by telling me that it's a non-smoking hotel. I then explained to her that it is not. Why argue with guest when they're obviously right? I'm in the lobby and it smells three times worse than my room! asked if there were any rooms more recently renovated. Front desk then told me they are starting renovations now. That should have been her first response. " I am sorry we are starting to renovate now but currently we suck." When I left at 7:30 am the next day there was a staff member in front of the hotel exit cleaning up all the cigarette butts. This is a smoking hotel. They allow smoking in the rooms and have no controllership over keeping smoke away from the main lobby. My stay was the night of July 15th 2025. Checked in at 5 pm. read more

What a horrible hotel I feel like Hilton has been going down for a while now. I travel for work a-lot and I used to like stay at the hiltons but lately it has been bad. So this location let me start by saying that the staff was all super nice. Nothing g against any of the employees. This is really a management issue. So they upgraded my room and I thought I would be getting a nice one. Well what a disappointment. The heater didn't work and the shower didn't work either. The whole handle almost came off. I couldn't shower and since I was only staying one night I complained in the morning so that they didn't give that room to anyone before fixing it. So lucky for me the hotel I'm at today has a working shower. I am considering not staying at hiltons anymore and changing brands. read more

Never in my life have I stayed at a Hampton Inn that was so bad. The destination was not chosen by me, it was the hotel chosen for guests at a family wedding. A block of rooms was reserved by the family member for the wedding, but that did not include a king Accessible room so I made those reservations on my own. A few days before the arrival date, I was notified that my digital key was affective and that I could choose my room. I chose my room. Upon arrival at the hotel, I stopped at the front desk, which was horribly backed up due to several people arriving for the wedding and they only had one person on duty. I showed the front desk person my digital key. She apologized that the room was not ready, it was after 4 o'clock. The room should've been ready. I have been traveling all day. I needed a room to freshen up before dinner. She gave me access to a different room at which point my credit card was immediately charged $90 for whatever reason I do not know. I was in the room less than 15 minutes when she told me that the room was ready. So I went to my original room to try to check in and once again, the digital key did not work so I had to go back to the front desk. finally I was able to get into my room and it was a horror. There were three hangers, no closet, no dresser, a wardrobe that had the doors broken off. It was an accessible room, but the floor was all uneven. Not a very good first impression. I go to log onto the Internet and it will not accept my room number, so I tried the temporary room number that I was given and that worked. The hotel had a small restaurant associated with it called the Beacon. A group of us went to the Beacon to grab a bite to eat. First of all the place was filthy. The tables look like they had never been wiped down the bartender/waiter was in a dirty T-shirt, baseball cap and just an overall unkept appearance. My two companions ordered seltzer with lime were told we ain't got no limes, we ordered burgers, medium rare. You don't get your burgers, medium rare you get them the way we give them to you.... I was at the hotel for four days did not have maid service once several times I had to request new towels and each time was only given one new towel. Other guests in the wedding group had rooms that were smelling of mold and mildew or musty. Some people complained of, a smell of sewage in the hallways. The pool had algae and scum on the bottom. One night we had a horrible rain storm. One group in the wedding party had water dripping on his television from the ceiling, there were buckets in the hallway of the sixth floor, where water was dripping in. I called the front desk because I had no USB port to charge my phone and I was told this is a old hotel and we don't have USB ports, but I'm told that there are ports on the alarm clocks in the room. Well that would be fine if I had an alarm clock in the room. So they sent an alarm clock to my room, which had no USB port. I could go on and on. I truly felt horrible for the front desk person for the four days that we were there, there was always only one person at the front desk. The hotel was fully booked. That poor woman at the desk was overwhelmed between answering the phone. I'm sure with complaints and dealing with the people that were checking in. I have always had a good experience with Hamptons and Hilton Honors member, but I could never recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

Kicked out of swimming due to random schedule change.... Do you like no working washers or dryers? How about restaurants randomly not opening! And if you enjoy pool hours changing from 10 into 5pm while your kids are enjoying a swim this place is for you. Also they don't allow drinks on patio. Worst hotel and management ever. read more

I stayed at this hotel for three nights. First night - only scalding hot water in shower and sink in the morning. Complained to desk - grudgingly allowed me to change room. Same thing following morning - scalding hot water in shower and sink. Complained again and got a new room and was able to take a shower next morning - water was hot but not scalding. This water problem seems to be know by the hotel staff and based on prior reviews has been going on for some number of months. Management is too cheap to fix it. Also , when I complained to the Sales Manager when I checked out she offered me 10K Hilton points which I never got. Don't book here read more

We stayed here for a baby shower this weekend with family. We were able to have rooms all next to each other which was convenient. The lobby was nice and the staff were friendly. The room had a musty smell to it and was very dark. Our shower had no hot water which we were expecting after reading the reviews. The staff told us they were still fixing the boilers and that each room varies with hot water. Some of the rooms had ripped wallpaper. Hotel is off the highway so you will most likely hear lots of traffic at night. Most of the group did not have hot water. Dinner we ate at the beacon. It's a small little room with a bar and seats. Woman at bar was very nice and got our large order correct. Unfortunately the menu was super reserved due to covid so there wasn't much to choose from. We ate in the lobby. Small little store in lobby as well with snacks. There was a small free continental breakfast. Your standard choices of waffles, cereals, breads. Nothing too exciting. For one night it wasn't terrible but it isn't somewhere I'd stay again unless I absolutely had to. read more

So let me start off by saying that I stay at Hampton properties all the time and normally I'm very satisfied. However whoever manages this property has neglected their responsibilities and it shows in the customer service and the condition of the hotel. Let me start off by saying that when I got there the first thing that I noticed as the lobby was extremely hot and one of the elevators were out. It was a marathon bike event so the hotel was sold out. It took 5 to 10 minutes to get the elevator up and down from my room so I was forced to take six flights of stairs most of the time. Then after getting to the room on a 90° day I decided to freshen up and take a shower , Except there was no hot water! So I called down to the front desk to ask if there was an issue with the water and the woman told me that she was aware of the issue , And somebody would be here on the 14th to fix it. I checked in on the 12th. So this means I was going to have two days with no hot water. The lady who answered the phone was absolutely unsympathetic and I won't say rude but didn't offer any apologies I was quick to rush me off the phone without offering anything to make up for the inconvenience of having no hot water for two days. Decided to just try to make the best out of it cause I'm here for three days and at least they have the pool open From 9 to 5. (Normally the hours are from 9 to 10 if it's open I don't understand why they cut the hours) However that wasn't the issue the issue is the Busted concrete on the floor of the pool. There is like a hole in the concrete bottom of the outdoor pool near the steps where you enter, I tried to get photos which I will attach down bottom. I did my best to get a picture there are loose pieces of stone all over the bottom of the pool with your foot is easily cut on somebody could definitely be hurt. Somebody could easily get inside of the pool and remove the stones. This is just poor management, the pool could've easily been repaired during the time that it was closed down with Covid restrictions. It's properties like this that really makes me sick to my stomach nobody called me emailed me to let me know there was any problems with the property. Nobody offered me any kind of discounts or reimbursements on my stay for the inconvenience. And those are just a serious problems with the hotel this is not even discussing the less than adequate cleanliness of the hotel what a terrible customer service here. Aside from the night of the 13th there overnight worker I'm sorry I cannot remember her name. She is the type of person that you want to deal with when you come in to a hotel it's all smiles, very courteous, extremely helpful, the only good part of my stay. And from what I could see she left that same impression on every Guest that she dealt with, she definitely deserves a raise or a promotion. I hope this was helpful. read more

I have stayed at this particuqr hotel location 5 other times and had a wonderful experience. But this time. Apparently they have had no hot water for a month but the website makes no mention of this and let's you book anyway . With it to come as a suprise when you go to check in. They give you the phone numbers to other Hilton hotels in area Or you can stay there and have just above cold water for your shower The shining spot on this turd is the fantastic people who have had to be the receivers of a lot of angry people and they were friendly and sincere in trying to help you. We ended up staying at the Hampton inn 5 miles away at the fort Dietrich Hampton inn they did not honor the booked pricing from my Hilton honors booking and and had theee own issues as the rooms had no bar soap at all only one small shampoo our room did not have a bath mat and only 1 wash cloth and 2 small towels read more

Have to say based on the negative reviews, I wasn't expecting much but will pick a bad Hilton over a holiday inn any day- but this place is great!! Got in within 2 minutes, got my water, had an issue with Internet- immediately resolved it, had them scan and scan and email a 25 page doc I needed vs going to fedx- what a great staff!! Cerease? What a ge Room is clean. Air works fine, he hotel is in a V of freeeways but I have white noise music so no big deal. It's a hotel!!! Quit bitching!!! Heading for happy hour and will be back. The customer service here is awful. It took me 3 calls to ask about a charge. They had my credit card and charged me, by manually entering it, when I wasn't there. They were rude and didn't seem to care. I would never recommend staying here. Was there for a wedding last year and the bartender called in sick because used he didn't want to work. I am very disappointed with the poor reception and the room quality here. This is an older hotel, which is fine, but hospitality goes a long way. That was lacking here. Checked in for 1 night on Sunday Oct 17th, 2021. Settled in our room by 7:30PM. Went to dinner and returned around 9:00/9:30 PM. Was told that the water would be shut off at any time and not turned back on till 6AM or so. I asked about a discount or some kind of compensation and was told i could check out. Filled water cups when we got back to the room to brush teeth and went to bed. Couldnt flush the toilet the next morning and there was water, but ice cold, no hot water to shower. The hotel didnt even offer a bottle of water ... Have put in a complaint when checking out and emailed Hilton, but havent heard back from anyone. Booked this hotel for my wedding guys. Worst mistake ever! They gave away my aunts room when she already paid for it (double booking). She had no where to stay and the hotel wasn't able to accommodate her at all. We signed a legal contract stating that they were going to have certain rooms reserved for us, including a room for the after party til 1am. They did not. Instead I here all these different excuses from their staff. First one told me there was a sign to notify us. Second says their bartender called out. Third one told us there was necessary constructions that needed to be done. REALLY?!?! Just own up to it and stop lying. When I tried to complain to the managers and Hilton cooperate you know what they said... they will get back to us.... it's been over two weeks, and still no follow up. When I called two weeks after to follow up, the sales manager "Patrick" told me that since I signed the contract with the previous manager who isn't there anymore "there is nothing we can do for you". What business are they running?!? People there are plenty of nicer hotels that are more worth the price, spread the word for me and do not go to Hampton inn located at Frederick! read more

I'm currently staying at this hotel we checked in August 1st. The hotel is clean, they have a pool and a separate bar area. They also have an outside patio with a fire pit. The front desk staff are all friendly and professional. The only reason I'm not rating this hotel higher is because of the housekeeping staff. I clean my house daily so why do they assume I don't want service. Sometimes they knock and ask other times they just skip our rooms. I called down to the front desk and requested service daily, I know they told housekeeping because I will find them in the hall and ask and my room numbers are in their list. But no one comes in my room. Another issue I have is in the beginning they cleaned our rooms early now they come around 2pm that's super late. You only clean rooms that late when no one is checking in on that day. Not your guest who are extended guest. I'm the beginning I had Miss Lopez I like her when she cleaned my room or the boys room. This new crew I don't care for they knock super loud and their rude. No one speaks English and this is a problem. I'm aware I have a dog and he barks when they come in the room but this hotel allows dogs so this is part of their job they told my 11 yr old that they not cleaning the room with the dog in there but he's locked in a kennel. Today is was a big issue and I could not deal with it because I was on the phone on an important phone call. So I'm asking the person on the phone to hold in the eve I said take the trash don't do anything else I'm on a important call. Such an inconvenience. read more

I love this place! The Beacon is my favorite go-to for good food and drinks. I was digging on the patio area and pool for relaxing. The service was top notch. Everyone is super friendly at check-in/out. Anytime you need something, they take care of it immediately. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The General Manager, Deena, is an absolute pleasure! Hands down, she is my favorite person at the Hilton Inn. I prefer this Hilton Inn to any Marriott establishment (including Marriott's luxury hotels)! Utility Hotel. Not up to Hampton Inn standards. No cold water in sink, no hot water in shower. Unsanitary uncovered ice bucket (needed due to no cold drinking water. Not acknowledged as gold honors member so no bottled water given. Both cups with ice bucket were opened and replaced for use (unsanitary). Bathroom outlet not working. No drinking cups in bathroom. Second night; zero housekeeping. No coffee, no cups, beds unmade. Plus, the entrance is very, very difficult to find. It is not near the hotel, the entry sign is extremely small and hard to read especially when having to watch oncoming traffic before turning. As I said: utility hotel for lower price. read more

We picked this hotel as we live Hamptons. It has a nice continental breakfast, a bar and restaurant with a beautiful pool. When we got there the hotel clerk was friendly and helpful but let us know the restaurant was closed on Mondays. Huh, okay. The hotel was nice, clean. A nice bathroom. We got up in the morning and had plenty of time so grabbed some breakfast and headed to the pool. A sign " closed over weekend for renovation". It's Tuesday? Ask the hotel clerk (a different much less friendly one) ... it's closed. No restaurant no bar no pool and grumpy morning clerk. Won't stay again. read more

This place is disgusting, black mold is growing everywhere, broken equipment in lobby and bathroom and they've had a hot water issue for the past 10 years, you're probably better off at a motel 8 than this cesspool of mold and mildew. We've stayed at the Hampton Inn Frederick 4 times, and it's always a pleasure! We really think it's a great value. Our most recent stay was on Saturday, Sept 8th, 2007. The rooms are *very* clean, nicely appointed, and the bathrooms are spacious, elegant, and fully stocked. The Staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Kudos to the General Manager, Yolanda Gainey and her staff! But we enjoyed waking up in the morning, and going down to the pond to feed the fish (Koi, we think) and ducks that live there. On this Saturday Night we were there, a DJ was playing funky, danceable music, and the place was packed. Folks all ages and races, having a blast dancing, drinking and eating. Our bartenders were very friendly and quick to serve us. They do have a reasonable dress code, but it's casual, just no T-shirts, cutoff, short shorts, etc. The ladies were sporting very slinky dresses, the men in collars, and/or jackets... you get the picture. I was wearing a Hawaiian Shirt and Khaki Shorts (hey, I live at the beach!), and fit in just fine also. The Hotel recently went thru a remodel, so the lobby and rooms are updated. Free, wi-fi access in the room was fast and reliable. All in all, a VERY nice place to stay while in the Frederick Maryland area! read more

We had reservations for Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 16. We were aware from another guest in our group who had stayed Thursday night that there had been no hot water. At check in, the clerk began the process and said nothing and so I asked, "We understand there's an issue with the hotel water heater. Can you guarantee we'll have hot water in the morning?" The clerk replied, "No." None of this was disclosed to other, unaware guests. For most, if not all guests, a lack of hot water is a deal-breaker. We stayed at the Marriott and canceled our Hampton reservation. The one star is for canceling within 24 hours and not attempting to charge us for one night. read more

Point blank: Do NOT stay here. Used the Hampton for my wedding block and booked a deluxe suite, found out the day before my wedding that the room was double booked and there was not other suites available. The staff is completely unresponsive- they chalk it up to their employee turnover, yet I was dealing with them for year and it never got better. If you call them, don't expect a call back, like ever. Several of our guests checked in and had fecal matter in their toilet, others couldn't flush their toilets. I left a dress in my room and was instructed to call housekeeping, and like I previously said, they don't return calls so was never able to get that dress back. Save yourself the trouble. read more

After we settled in we went outside to their patio area where there was an open gas fire pit that was warm and fun to sit around. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Walking into a room that smells like bad gym socks is not the ideal first impression for any hotel. Sitting in your room and hearing the roar of the highway is also... not great. The safety mounts on the windows made it so I couldn't even air out the stench. If you could ignore the smell and noise, at least the room was clean and a fair size. My room was deprived of any coffee that wasn't decaf. The wifi was impossible to connect to (good thing I had work to do... the perks of a Starbuck/Panera being down the street). I always end up grumpy when I expect minimal amenities and they can't be matched. The fitness center looked minimally used (ever), so, at least there's that. I was in town for a wedding and the party was located here so its the only reason I stuck it out for two days. I hate to complain about a chain place (because there isn't anything they will really do about it...) but I'd just say if you're in town, try somewhere else. read more
