    Much needed room amenities.

I decided five days before busy July 4th weekend to take a quick get-away to Destin, Fl. As I began my searches many of the hotels in the Destin area were booked and/or over my price range. I found a great deal at this new Hampton by Hilton property in Crestview, Fl. that is 31 miles from Destin with tolls. Check-in was quick and easy. Our room on the third floor was immaculate and still had the scent of new carpet and paint. The room was spacious with a sofa bed, comfortable king size bed, refrigerator, microwave, large flat screen t.v. with cable access, full body mirror, wi-fi, plenty of bath towels, small closet space with six hangers, and an iron and ironing board. Tip 1: The rooms do not come with a safe so take all valuables with you or lock them in your suitcase. Tip 2: No dresser or drawer space. Tip 3: The walls and floors are thin so request a room on the fourth floor if noise bothers you. Tip 4: The curtains do not close completely. If sunlight at 6:00 am and pool lights disrupt your sleep, bring an eye mask or you can be innovative as I did and use a scruchy and hair clip. Unfortunately the night staff lacked poor customer service when we requested to move to the top floor due to the noise. Better yet they were extremely rude. It took Elaine on the day shift to accommodate our requests in addition to brewing fresh coffee, restocking the breverage station with cups, lids, sugar, cream, and hot water in the afternoon. Elaine move us to the fourth floor and it was a much better experience. She even honored our request for a late check out. Housekeeping tidied up our room daily, were friendly, and respected the do not disturb sign on our door. This hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast, beverage station (coffee, tea, and cocoa), fitness room, business center, up to 5ft small outdoor pool, and plenty of parking. Aside from the noise we experienced from not being on the top floor and a few minor mishaps (which were all rectified). We were pleased with the stay and overall accommodations- especially the bed.

Hygienic trays for clothing rather than dresser.

Wonderful updated rooms with great layout. Great breakfast options and wonderful staff. Only complaint I have is even being on the third floor I could hear guests outside the front door entrance.

Nice rooms. Each bed has 2 down pillows and 2 polyester-filled pillows. Good for those allergic to down feathers.

Check in was a breeze. Parking is limited. And even fewer spots visible from the rooms. The lobby was nice and the front desk clerk was polite and professional. Like many Hampton Inn hotels, the room design and decor is updated, clean and comfortable. White sheets, white duvet, white towels...just how I like it. The mattress was comfortable but not soft enough. The comforter was too thick and heavy. Of course, some people might like these things, but I don't. Although each bed had two down pillows and 2 poly pillows, all 4 were THICK and I cannot sleep on that. I had to sleep on a rolled towel. I wish they offered different sizes. Your room rate includes free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free parking. The room had a powerful AC, a very large LG flat screen TV, a desk area, an ottoman (useful for putting on shoes in the morning), a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Awesomesauce. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with plenty of towels and Neutrogena toiletries, a curbed shower curtain rod and a Waterpik massaging showerhead. I've never seen the set up where the faucet and showerhead are on opposite sides of the shower but it makes sense. The water pressure in the shower isn't the best but it isn't awful either. I really like the built-in shelf above the bathroom counter, just below the mirror. You can line up all your bathroom stuff without crowding the countertop. Perfect for longer stays so the housekeeper can clean the counter easily without having to move your things. The location is perfect when travelling through the panhandle on I-10 (less than 2 minutes from exit 56). It is located between Panama City and Pensacola. There is a gas station next door, and a Whattaburger across. Nearby there is a Hooters, Hardees, Wendy's, Applebees. On the other side of the I-10 there is a Walmart Supercenter. WIN I'd stay here again and again.

This was a great stay, hotel was easy to find and centrally located. It was a nice easy 25 min drive to Ft Walton beach (much better than staying in Destin). Staff was friendly room was clean and the linens and sheets were hair free, that completely grosses me out. The only down fall was the wait for breakfast. I will definitely stay here again to avoid the tourist spot but still want to be within 30 mins of the beach

I got to the hotel and was told it was not accessible. I was told I could cancel but only right then and I could not see the room first. We got to the room and the room was nothing like the pictures. There was mold in the window, on the walls, on the ceiling, in the tub, the fridge door was rusted over, and the top of the fridge looked like it was hit with a sledgehammer. I was told it was too late to cancel and get a refund. Expedia was no help even though I purchased the booking protection. The hotel was horrible and no one should stay there and the health department should shut them down.

There was also a $50 deposit charged via credit card. + Microwave + Refrigerator + Complimentary parking available on property (although parking is a bit tight in the back of the property) + Decent size - Weak toilet flush power - There are multiple outlets on the base of the bedside lamps. However, they did not work. - No elevators I believe it depends on which room is assigned during check-in. This room on the first floor is much better than the room on the 2nd floor where we previously stayed. There were no wobbly shower fixtures or creaky bed springs in this room. Also, this time around, there were 2 trash cans in the room and there was Kleenex/facial tissue instead of an empty tissue box cover.

This is my first business tag along with him this year. The Quality Inn in Crestview is our second hotel this trip. We stayed in Room 131. It is closest to an outside door. We have a dog so that makes it easier to let him out. My first complaint is No hot water in the shower. I hate hate taking cold or cool showers. Making a cup of tea at 1:30 am this morning and saw a German cock roach scurry across the floor. Killed it with a shoe. Creeps me out. Door handle is loose. Our room key never unlocks the outside side door. We always have to walk around to the front doors. Even after having the front office clerk reprogram it. No remote for the TV when we arrived. They brought us different ones after check in and none of them worked. They finally brought us one that works the next day. The trim between the ceramic tile and vinyl floor comes up making a tripping hazard. We will not come back here.

Even more disgusting than the roach is when I flushed the toilet, I realized it was backed up. When I told the maintenance woman,I was shocked when she handed me a plunger instead! I then had the chore of unplunging the previous guest's fecal matter from the toilet. This was absolutely disgusting and that employee should be fired. In addition to that, we put out our dirty towels out for housekeeping wheen we saw them outside, and we took the Do Not Disturb sign off our doorknob so they could give us new towels. They never did. Even if they offered a free stay, we would never stay here again. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the lady at the front desk was nice and she let us borrow a USB plug that we forgot to pack.

Cheap, but not worth staying here…read more The check-in process was horrible. The lady at the desk kept going back and forth between the office and some back room. It took about a half hour just to check in and this made me late for dinner plans. She finally just gave me a room key and mumbled the room number. I could barely understand anything she was saying. The room itself was clean, but had a strong, musty odor. The air conditioner was set to 60 degrees, but did not cool down the room at all. The room was oddly set up with a random closet that contained a mattress and random odds and ends. The shower was very dark and had the feel of a prison cell. The bed was OK and since there was at least a working fridge and microwave, I'll give them two stars instead of one.

This is the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. I wish I could cut some slack on this review but…read moreeverything from check in to the room is extremely unfortunate. My friend, girlfriend, and myself have been traveling from Los Angeles to Miami and were unfortunate enough to end up here. Upon arriving at 10:30pm, I made my way to a locked lobby. After knocking on the door, the front desk receptionist (who, I'm assuming is also the owner) walked to the key drop off and began to speak with me through the door. I asked her to open the door and let me into the lobby so I can expedite this process. She seemed not to care and asked for my ID through the door. She then came back with paperwork. I informed her that she needed to let me in. I have been driving for 10 hours and I instantly felt as if I was being seen as a criminal (I don't blame her. It seems that everyone who is checked in here is). After an annoying check in process, I finally got my room key. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I would recommend that NO ONE stay at this motel. Spend the extra $10 and stay at the Super 8 or Motel 6 or sleep in your car. It seems like these owners feel into the "hospitality" industry and have no idea what they're doing. Also, don't step outside. Really. All the locals here look like meth addicts. I wonder if the Hilton family knows that these owners are pawning off of their name.
