    No roll in shower

I just wanted a little comfort after my mother's death. Instead they tricked me into paying hundreds more, for much less than we were promised. We were traveling for the funeral. I tried to find the bereavement travel rate online, but couldn't. I contacted the hotel, but no one knew it. So I emailed reservations. I had to ask three times. Each response was from a different person, and each time, instead of answering my question, they responded as though I had asked something else. I contacted customer service who told me that we had to make the reservation FIRST and we had to do it through the reservations phone number, before they could apply the discount. I did so, and the best price they could offer was about $300 more than the advertised price on the hotel website. This has happened every time I have ever booked at a Choice hotel through the hotel directly or the reservations number, and they've never been able to explain why they are unable to match their own prices, just that they can't. Their "low price guarantee" specifically does not cover their own advertised rates, only third parties. I attempted twice more to contact customer service. After first ignoring me, they told me the bereavement rate was handled by the hotel, and they were sending a message flagged as "urgent" for the hotel manager to contact me, but no one did. I didn't realize until afterwards that I had been given instructions to reserve by a method guaranteed to cost more, in order to be eligible for a discount they had no intention of giving. And this sums up how this company sees your suffering: as an opportunity to fleece you. My spouse and I are both mobility impaired, so we reserved an accessible room with a roll in shower on the ground floor. At arrival, they told us that they didn't have handicapped rooms on the first floor, only the second. This is the second time I have encountered this bizarre phenomenon at a Choice property, and they won't tell you till you get there, despite agreeing when you book. As you can see from the pic, the roll in shower has a wicked curb to jump. A tub-shaped "border". Front desk told me my only other option was a non-accessible room. In the second pic, you will notice an unusually vacant area for a hotel room layout. It took me a bit to realize there was no easy chair/reading lamp. Apparently, they assume that the wheelchair bound, after popping wheelies in and out of the shower, and rappelling down the side of burning buildings, don't need anyplace comfortable to sit and relax. Other complaints: -Would not issue receipt upon checkout (they said one would be emailed but it never was). -Reservations would not accept my reward points despite the "points plus cash" policy. -Stay was one day shorter than we understood we paid for, and when asked front desk clerk was unfriendly and refused to check records to verify. -One of the only two elevators was inoperable since we arrived until checkout. -The breakfast buffet was never once complete, and on one day in particular there was no: juice, milk, sausages, fruit, biscuits, oatmeal or grits, yogurt, and no one at the front desk to help. Only eggs, dry cereal, black coffee, and a note apologizing for the absence of sausages. -No TV in the lobby/breakfast area. -No fan and no light cover in the bathroom. -The toilet tank leaks a puddle on the floor. -The towels are all stained. -They apparently do not clean between or behind furniture in the rooms, lobby, or anywhere else we saw. I'll say this for them: Choice Hotels knows how to make a funeral a truly miserable experience.

Absolutely do not stay here! We had a reservation for two nights. We arrived and the desk clerk checked us in, upon entering the room is when the nightmare began. The air conditioner wasn't functioning properly, it wouldn't change settings at all and barely blew, the front of it was busted. There were stains all over the bedding, the table had residue and finger prints everywhere, the light fixture in the bathroom was destroyed, the chair was frayed and stained. We hadn't even taken anything off the luggage cart yet. I went and notified the desk we needed a new room and he informed me there were no more since we had our dog. So I told him he needed to contact the manager so we could cancel and get a refund. I had two kids with me, as a mother there is no way I was going to allow them to sleep in those nasty beds. He told me we could go ahead and leave and the manager would look it over. I asked him to have the manger to call me immediately because I needed to know they'd be refunding me. We had been traveling since 7 in the morning, didn't get there till 8 and now had to continue on another 4 hours to our final destination because we no longer had a room. They have charged me 3 times now totally $610 for a room we didn't stay in. We took photos and video of the situation. No phone calls from management have been returned.

They should not call themselve Quality Inn, there is nothing quality about them. Their website is deceptive. They claim to have a pool...no such thing, the water is green and disgusting. apparently it has not been working for a long time. They claim to have a hot breakfast...again...no. It's a Continental breakfast at best. Gym is not accessible, carpet is dirty. Overall just terrible.

    Nice room

Nice hotel, friendly staff, dog friendly, and good restaurants in walking distance from the front door.

I got to the hotel and was told it was not accessible. I was told I could cancel but only right then and I could not see the room first. We got to the room and the room was nothing like the pictures. There was mold in the window, on the walls, on the ceiling, in the tub, the fridge door was rusted over, and the top of the fridge looked like it was hit with a sledgehammer. I was told it was too late to cancel and get a refund. Expedia was no help even though I purchased the booking protection. The hotel was horrible and no one should stay there and the health department should shut them down.

Booked an additional night in June 2022. It was $99.39 for a Deluxe Double Room with 2 Double Beds,…read moreincluding the 11% tax. (King bed not available.) There was also a $50 deposit charged via credit card. + Microwave + Refrigerator + Complimentary parking available on property (although parking is a bit tight in the back of the property) + Decent size - Weak toilet flush power - There are multiple outlets on the base of the bedside lamps. However, they did not work. - No elevators I believe it depends on which room is assigned during check-in. This room on the first floor is much better than the room on the 2nd floor where we previously stayed. There were no wobbly shower fixtures or creaky bed springs in this room. Also, this time around, there were 2 trash cans in the room and there was Kleenex/facial tissue instead of an empty tissue box cover.

Cheap, but not worth staying here…read more The check-in process was horrible. The lady at the desk kept going back and forth between the office and some back room. It took about a half hour just to check in and this made me late for dinner plans. She finally just gave me a room key and mumbled the room number. I could barely understand anything she was saying. The room itself was clean, but had a strong, musty odor. The air conditioner was set to 60 degrees, but did not cool down the room at all. The room was oddly set up with a random closet that contained a mattress and random odds and ends. The shower was very dark and had the feel of a prison cell. The bed was OK and since there was at least a working fridge and microwave, I'll give them two stars instead of one.

This is the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. I wish I could cut some slack on this review but…read moreeverything from check in to the room is extremely unfortunate. My friend, girlfriend, and myself have been traveling from Los Angeles to Miami and were unfortunate enough to end up here. Upon arriving at 10:30pm, I made my way to a locked lobby. After knocking on the door, the front desk receptionist (who, I'm assuming is also the owner) walked to the key drop off and began to speak with me through the door. I asked her to open the door and let me into the lobby so I can expedite this process. She seemed not to care and asked for my ID through the door. She then came back with paperwork. I informed her that she needed to let me in. I have been driving for 10 hours and I instantly felt as if I was being seen as a criminal (I don't blame her. It seems that everyone who is checked in here is). After an annoying check in process, I finally got my room key. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I would recommend that NO ONE stay at this motel. Spend the extra $10 and stay at the Super 8 or Motel 6 or sleep in your car. It seems like these owners feel into the "hospitality" industry and have no idea what they're doing. Also, don't step outside. Really. All the locals here look like meth addicts. I wonder if the Hilton family knows that these owners are pawning off of their name.
