so far very good except there are some trains passing at night for about 3 minutes so you can hear some train horn especially if you facing the creek side. I guess I wanted the street side if that was the case. Well if you facing the street side, you can't see you vehicle and won't be able to remote start it. also there is like no heat. if you set the thermostat to 78 it's gonna be a little breezy 71 max heat. but sure if you want it colder it will get to about 67. also in the afternoons, there is no hot water. maybe they just turn it on at night and am.

    Hallways are bright.

First impression of this property is spacious! The lobby, breakfast area, the elevator lobbies on sleeping floors, the sleeping rooms, bathrooms--all are spacious. That is a very pleasant surprise. Breakfasts are served hot. The hotel has not changed over to wrapped breakfast sandwiches. One somewhat unpleasant surprise is that housekeeping is not provided if staying 2 nights. You must request it. It was not a problem for me. I only showered and slept there. Still it is a surprise not to be informed and to return and find the room has not been made up. Thus 4 stars. Property is relatively new, well maintained and spacious. Recommended. Just don't be surprised with the housekeeping schedule.

This hotel looked brand new! It's right downtown within walking distance to many good restaurants and bars and a walking trail near the river. The breakfast was delicious, probably better biscuits and gravy than most restaurants! The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because our room needed some repairs and some of which made our room slightly uncomfortable (ex. Our hotel room door jam broken, toilet not flushing appropriately, blackout curtains not able to close, etc) and when we brought up these concerns (thinking they could be repaired or tended to while we were out at dinner) were actually not able to be repaired or tended to because there wasn't actually anyone on staff that day who worked in the maintenance dept. We also arrived during an extreme heat wave, covered with sweat and clearly exhausted from traveling, and I was actually a bit surprised that we weren't offered water at all, despite seeing cases of bottled water behind the counter. There wasn't even a water station that I typically see at Hilton Hotels.

The lobby boasts an enormous period-correct mosaic tile floor in earth tones. There's quite a lot of art ranging from kitsch to bronzes in the classical vein. Our suite had four rooms: a bedroom, a living room, a dining room with a sink/cabinets, and an armoire, and a bathroom. The decor is professional in a style you might call rural Americana but without quilts. Most of the walls are painted sage green and the outlet and switch covers match. The beds were firm, probably vintage, and reasonably comfortable. The bathroom has lovely multicolor granite tiles and a vintage table for a vanity. Don't be surprised if the floor in your room tilts - this place is old! When we stayed, the pillows could have used a refresh. And I'm not sure what the housekeeping schedule is, but we stayed three nights and there was no towel/turn-down service in that time. I'm reluctantly taking a star off for these two factors. The service is friendly, professional, and responsive. When we had a question but no one could answer the phone, they saw that we had called and called us right back!

We checked in on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, and checked out on Saturday. The front desk attendant was very pleasant. I did not like our room placement. Our room was next to the mechanics room. Throughout the night, it made loud noises that could be heard in our room. Our room was also next to the pool, which proved to be a high traffic area with noisy children and families. Parents also allowed their children to run screaming up and down the hallway. The room itself was fine. It had a separate couch and bed area. Neither the couch nor bed were super comfortable, but they did the trick for the two days we were there. The bathroom was nice and large and had a modern feel to it. There were some stains on the carpet. The breakfast had lots of options, from waffles to eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, and gravy to fruit and cereal. They also offered milk, coffee, and fruit juices. The only downside was that the same food was offered both days. I was hoping that some of the hot food options would be different every day. Overall, this hotel served its purpose. We got a clean bed to sleep in and a hot breakfast.

The rooms are also reasonably priced considering how large they are compared to the standard hotel room, with quite a bit of room for the sofa and desk work areas. The bed was a bit firm for me and I didn't love having a lot of smaller pillows, but it was a good generous size with lots of linens. The bathroom and shower was also quite large, with plenty of space to move around. The breakfast was quite complete as well with all the juices, coffee, cereals, fruit, sausage, eggs, biscuits, potatoes, waffles, and other items that you could want to start the day. The dining room is fairly large though it also gets quite busy in the morning. Overall, this place meets the needs of any traveler and is located in a convenient spot near shopping.

One downside from that, is that it might be a little noisy if your room is on the freeway side. Rooms & Building - Rooms are standard Country Inn rooms with a touch of modern décor. They were clean and comfortable. The hotel itself has the standard Country Inn modern design with neutral colors, open airy public spaces, and light wood designs. Amenities - There is a good sized indoor pool that also included a hot tub. I used the hot tub and it was relaxing. Quick shout out - whoever painted the tropical decor in the pool area did an amazing job. Such detail and attention to realism, it looked awesome. I would have that artist paint those things in my own home, so cool. Food - There is a free breakfast buffet offered at this location. The breakfast layout is your standard waffle bar layout. Hot options include eggs, breakfast meat and fresh waffles. Continental options are available too such as yogurt, cereal, breakfast breads, fruit, etc. and also some more rare things such as Poptart packs, single serve soy or almond milk cartons, and other single serve food items. There was plenty of options for a variety of tastes. Vibe - Easy going and friendly staff. They had fresh backed cookies available at all times and they actually had them available (most of the time, they bake one batch and if you miss them, you miss them). They kept the cookie tray full, so welcoming. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - Price was just a bit over $100 for one night. Great price point for what was offered. I would stay here again if in the area.
