Spacious enough room. Everything looked clean. TV was on with the guide displayed (convenient).

This was really more of a 3.5 star review, but they definitely earned the extra half star due to their staff! Great group of team members! This is a pretty standard Hampton Inn, nothing really to speak of necessarily, but... it is not without some flaws. For one thing, the entire facility is in dire need of an update. Lighting in the guest room itself was very dark, and one of the switches literally did nothing. The furniture was okay, but clearly a bit worn. The TV was fairly new, though, so props there. The hotel is located behind some main roads, so it has a kind of "distant" vibe to it. If you don't have a car, it's pretty much on an island with nothing around it (so to speak). There are some accommodations (restaurants, mall, etc.) within a mile of the place, but again, without a car, it's not really walking distance. Certainly not safely! Still, that being said, it was a decent stay for what we needed it for. You're not too far from the train station (Quincy Center) that can take you to downtown Boston and the surrounding area. They even have a free shuttle that can take you to said station and to local places! I don't think they go to Logan, however, but their train system does (same with rideshare, of course). For the price, I mean... at least you're saving a lot over downtown prices, which is nice. Far less expensive than staying in Boston proper! But, factor in the time spent traveling via rental car, rideshare, or train and it's up to you. For what we needed, it was perfectly suited. The staff here really made the difference, though. Lauren (sp?) in particular was a huge help to us! She made a complicated reservation very easy thanks to her assistance. Even the corporate site couldn't claim that! The free breakfast was also a very nice touch, with some good options pretty much every day. Overall, it's a Hampton Inn, hard to say more beyond that. But, it was a good location and price for our long weekend in Boston. I'd stay here again!

    The potatoes.... they were EVERYTHING!

I had a lovely stay. Granted, I was only in the room to change and sleep but everything was very clean and cozy. I also loved that the temp control was digital and easy to figure out. This is ridiculous and not important at all, but mirrors were really great for selfies! Huge shout out to Linda who was super friendly and helpful. I was exhausted when I arrived but the check-in process took mere seconds. The printers were being glitchy and I was in a huge rush to get to an event. Once again, Linda took care of the issue for me in seconds and had a sense of humor about it too. I got back pretty late and was starving. The gentleman at the desk saved me from going on a wild goose chase trying to find an open restaurant - Uber Eats services the area (thank goodness). Lastly, I didn't eat much at breakfast but the potatoes were literally amazing & the coffee was really good, too! And yes....I could smell the cookies in the lobby at 6:30pm. Nice touch!

I stayed here because my air conditioner in my apartment in Quincy was broken on a 90+ degree weekend.... I took the glowing recommendations of Yelpers to stay here, and boy was I disappointed! To start with, the afternoon front desk person "Margaret" was incredibly rude. She barely made eye contact and had an attitude for no reason. When I got to my room, it was dark, dingy, and smelled of mold/mildew. I called the front desk to ask for a room change because I have severe allergies. Margaret said that she would "see what she could do, but all the rooms are going to smell because of moisture..." Umm, OK. A little while later, she gives me a key to a new room. This time, the room smells like a wet dog. And the AC barely works. But I was too tired to keep switching rooms so I dealt with it. As the night wore on, I noticed that I could hear people talking, kids screaming, TV's in rooms across the hall. There is apparently NO soundproofing between the door and hallways. I ended up using couch cushions and towels to try to dampen the sound. Overall, this was a terrible hotel. Dark, dirty, smelly, and noisy. And the staff is rude. The only redeeming quality is that it's close to South Shore Plaza. Not worth the $125 price tag. I left after only one night.

Stayed here once for an overnight and enjoyed my stay enough to bring the family to visit Boston. Thought the rooms were clean and decent sized. Enjoyed the breakfast options and layout. What made it better than average was the pool was a decent size that my kids could actually swim and enjoy it. This location isn't great and it's not accessible, but the shuttle service to the Metro was convenient and we were able to coordinate to the point that it actually worked out for us.

Food was gone at 9, apparently they have a sign inside the lounge that says 6-9. Would have been nice of the front desk to know that. For those of use lactose intolerant would be nice if you had some milk alternatives for the coffee. Only had half and half, but when asked if we could have atleast 2% lounge staff rolled eyes and got annoyed. Just wow! I travel a lot and always stay at Marriotts this is so below standards.

Staying here feels like trying to sleep in a war zone. Because of the flimsy construction, every…read moresingle sound is amplified. If someone walks overhead, you'll hear it. If someone shuts a door anywhere on the floor, it reverberates through your room like a shockwave. The noise is relentless to the point where it genuinely sounds like bombs falling in the distance somewhere nearby all day long. The building is so cheaply constructed that the entire room physically reacts to it. The bed shakes. The nightstand shakes. Items on the table rattle. I would be lying in bed and feel the bed shake when someone shut a door down the hall. I stayed in room 664, and I did not get a single night of uninterrupted sleep. I was woken up multiple times, sometimes by housekeeping noise and several other times by doors in the hallway slamming. Despite sleeping with two different white noise machines running, it was enough to shake the room and jolt me awake. It was impossible to relax in the room during the day or take a nap. My body was constantly tense, bracing for the next crash, slam, or bang. There was no sense of calm or quiet at any point. The main culprit is housekeeping, and it is completely out of control. They clean rooms with the hallway doors propped wide open, turning the corridor into an echo chamber. As they clean, they are aggressively slamming everything from closet doors, shower doors, glass cups, toilet seats crashing shut, hangers clanking loudly. I could clearly hear hangers clanging together, toilet seats banging, and doors slamming from eight rooms down the hall, all from inside my room with the door closed. Even the common areas are a nightmare. The lobby regularly had two different music tracks playing at the same time over the speakers, dueling music competing with itself, creating an absolute cacophony. The only bright spot was the breakfast staff, who were super friendly and professional. If you value sleep, peace, or sanity, do not stay here. I have never experienced anything like this and would never stay here again.

I went over the room and bathroom with a blacklight, and things were pretty much spotless. As someone who cleans his own house using one, this is difficult. Absolutely no complaints, and they met my high expectations (I mean, how many guests examine the foot of the toilet using a blacklight?! The Room - The room was notably small. There was very little space on either side of the bed. I seem to recall a desk, so it's not like a pod hotel, but still cramped. As I was one person staying one night, it wasn't a big deal, but thought it was worth mentioning. Speaking of me being one person: Desk Staff: The person when I was checking in Thursday night was not welcoming at all. I walk in, and he growls "Reservation?" I say "yes", followed by a "good evening, by the way" a few second after. During the check in process it was repeated ad nauseum that I am not allowed to have any guests in the room who are not on the reservation, even after I specifically stated it would just be me. Clearly, they've been burned on this in the past, but that is no excuse to treat me as if I brought an extra person after being told not to. The person working the next morning was much kinder, friendlier, and more welcoming. Moving on... Bedding - The mattress and sheets were pretty average. Just fine for an Inn, and I had no issues with either. Bathroom - The only complaints I have is that the soap was a cheaper variety (common in places like this and even nicer), and the lighting above the vanity was harsh. Otherwise, the hot water was plenty hot, and the water pressure respectable. While it appeared more like the set up one would have at home, for an Inn, I have no complaints. Breakfast - Surprisingly, it was on par (if not slightly better) to what I had in the DoubleTree in Rockland, and Doubletree charges almost $20 for theirs, while this one was free. It was some pastries, pancakes, sausage patties, and some egg, IIRC. Thus, an experience that exceeded my expectations, and would have resulted in a five-star rating if not for a staffer who would seemingly make people swear on a religious book of their choosing that they're categorically not going to bring any guests into the rooms.

When I checked Yelp reviews before heading here, I was so worried, especially I had just stayed at fancy and convenient Westin Hotel in Boston. Braintree was a bit far from Boston, but Delta Airlines said that most hotels were full. It was a bit challenging to get a Lyft or Uber driver who's willing to drive that far from the airport. I guess most visitors don't go to Braintree area. When we arrived, there was a long line waiting to check in as most of us were there due to flight cancellations. I guess normally they didn't get so many guests, they were overwhelmed, but they still tried their best to accommodate all of us. The owner was very kind and explained to us how we should use our vouchers from the airlines for food. It took a while for us to finally check in, and the room was basic and clean. It's not new, but clean with everything you need. They serve breakfast until 9 am, but we arrived nearly 1 am, so it was quite challenging for us to be there for breakfast when we needed more sleep. The breakfast was continental style breakfast. The check out time was 11 am, and I called to see if we could extend. The lady, who was likely one of the owners, allowed me to extend for an hour. Maybe they didn't communicate well, so the housekeeper knocked our door at 11 am to tell us that we had to check out. It took me a while to explain as the housekeeper didn't speak English well. We checked out at noon but our flight was in the evening, so it was still too early to head to the airport. We decided to walk around the area, and the lady at the front desk was kind to let us leave our luggage in their secured employee area. Overall, the experience with this hotel was good. The owners were friendly, but I also think they should smile more. While I doubt I may come again in the future, I hope people are willing to give it a try despite its negative online reviews.

Furthermore, the South Shore Plaza is a block away and I needed to go to Sephora. Lmbooooooo. Extended Stay - Braintree was very wasy to find as it sits right off of the main road. However, the bed was comfortable, the hot water was hot, and the water pressure was at full force. (WooHoo) All in all, my stay at the Extended Stay - Braintree was pleasant and I will definitely book again on my next trip to Boston. **If you are looking for even more value, Extended Stay - Braintree does have grab and go breakfast but I checked out before breakfast time (5:30a) so I didn't get to experience it.
