We chose Paducah as one of our overnight stops during our road trip. Since it is not a huge city, there were limited options regarding hotels. We usually stay at Hiltons so we chose this Hampton. Luckily we did not arrive to late so we had time to settle in and make it somewhere to eat dinner. After we settled in our room, we decided to check out the lobby area for a little. They have a little market, which is oddly placed behind the front desk counter. We grabbed a couple of beers and decided to sit at one of the tables to relax. The front desk person came up to us after he was done assisting all these other people and informed us the beers were on him. I thought that was so kind! When we returned from dinner, we decided to grab some beers and sit in the lobby again. There was a different front desk person but we did not interact with her as much due to her being in the back. The hotel overall gives an outdated vibe-in the room and lobby. We did make it for breakfast and there was a decent selection of items. Unfortunately, when I was attempting to grab another cup of coffee when I was done with breakfast, the canister was empty. Someone asked a staff member about putting a fresh container of coffee out and she went to brew it immediately. It still took about 15 minutes but we appreciated the immediate assistance. It was not done in vain because there was four of us waiting. I did not use the shower because the shower had mold and some parts did not look safe or clean. Like I said, a renovation definitely needs to happen here. The staff were great in all experiences. I even made it a point to compliment the front desk woman in the morning because she was dealing with several rude assholes and she did not deserve that. read more

We recently stayed here and were greeted with a smile when we entered and the room we got was amazing, clean, and very roomy. The breakfast was one of the nicest ones we have had at a Hampton Inn, lot of options and nice and hot. Breakfast area was very clean and staff was very pleasant. When we asked about restaurant options we were given several pages with options and reviews. Area had lots to offer too. We look forward to staying here again. read more

This hotel is just off the interstate next to other hotels but in a quiet area. Close to eating establishments but you Will need to drive. There is a Bob Evens within waking distances but there is no sidewalk and it is not advised to walk in the dark. We have stayed here a few times. Friendly check in, clean and comfortable, quiet rooms and pool/workout center. No hot tub. The breakfasts are a step above and plenty of options to choose from. Upon arrival a nap was in order. When I went to get up I got a Horrible Charlie horse in my inner thigh rendering me unable to stand up or walk. My husband ran to the front desk asking for mustard packets. Destiny was on staff and quickly handed him some packets without any explanation. She asked if he needed catsup too and he hastily replied no as he hurried back to our room. A previous experience had a retired nurse giving me mustard as a Charlie horse remedy. Believe it or not it works. I also use smart Water and usually keep some bedside but did not have any with me in the hotel. After I got through the ordeal my husband went back to the front desk to let Destiny know he was t trying to be rude but was in a hurry and explained to her why. Sadly she stated that a lot of people are rude to her. I found her very kind and pleasant as she complimented me when we were checking in earlier. I am a diamond member and stay over 150 plus a year, for context. I always book using my qualifying government rate through my Hilton honors app. I have always used digital key and check in. Never, have I ever had a situation like I did at this property. I checked in, selected room, and then got then got confirmation my digital key and room were ready. I went to room and suddenly my key was red and said I needed to go to desk. Upon going to the desk frustrated, I was told they blocked my key and I needed to show my government ID. I advised this has never been asked of me and most likely I did not have, as I only need when I go to office. Desk clerk advised it is a Hilton policy digital keys will be canceled and ID is required. Simply not true, not a Hilton policy per corporate. After arguing and expecting a pass on not showing ID, I was told nothing can be done. I said fine, change rate to Hilton Honors. I was told $245 plus tax. I shared my thoughts on that rate and that again the whole scenario was being handled wrong. Miranda the manager, came running from the back yelling "if you don't like it go somewhere else". I was taken back by the the complete disrespect. She should have pulled me to side to get all the facts and discuss. So the rate of $245? I went into the app while I was standing there and the Hilton honors rate was $205 plus tax. So not only were they rude and unwilling to offer a courtesy, now they try to beyond gouge me. Unreal!!! I called Hilton, who was great and they opened a case and advised GM would call me, of course he never did. I ended up calling him and he was rude and basically said he would do nothing. He of course made excuses and denied his staff would have been rude. I called back to Hilton to let them know he never called and I called him. They gave me some points for the trouble. Bottom line is stay away from this property. The staff is rude and the property is old and outdated. There are other Hilton brands in the area. I totally understand it was my responsibility to have my ID, however there should have been a one time courtesy given, based on my diamond status and expectation from my 150 plus stays never being asked. Glad you lost my future stays and hopefully people reading this to gain the 82 bucks in the rate difference. It's amazing you would think this is flagship property in downtown of a major city. read more

Idiots parked on all 3 sides of my rig. Cannot leave. The hotel does not collect vehicle info to get them moved. Front desk was no help. Inadequate parking for all guests. A long dumpster at other end of lot taking up several spaces. I am pissed. read more

Cleanliness - 4/5 Quietness - 3/5 Not a bad hotel, overpriced for a Hampton. Rooms are a bit dated for a Hampton as well, and ours was smaller than usual. But it was clean and that's a prime factor. We checked in late and didn't hear anyone around us but by 6am there was clamor. Enough that by 6:15 I finally got up as I knew trying to sleep further was impossible. Staff was very nice. Do not stay at this hotel or the one next door. I was checked into a room that smelled like mold and had stains on the couch & all of the curtains. I was told to turn on the air to circulate the smell. SMH!!! They refused to move my room or refund my money because of a discounted rate I received. Stayed at the new Comfort Suites that's directly across the street. The rooms are better and the hotel smells fresh- not moldy. read more

The check in staff was super friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. The have an indoor pool and free Wi-Fi. The free breakfast was the best I've had in a while--scrambled eggs with steak and cheese mixed in, red potatoes, maple-glazed sausage, plus the usual fare of oatmeal and waffles. One of the better value hotels on our recent road trip. We had a large room with a desk, king bed and living room area. We traveled with our k-9 and the fee was only $25.00. The hotel is located near a variety of restaurants and I-24. They served a hot breakfast which is rare in my travels. The employees were pleasant and the hotel room was clean. We will definitely stay there again when traveling through the area. read more

Some kid had pulled an fire alarm at 9:00pm at night. They had people who where in wheelchairs on the top floors, there was no organization. The staf where assholes and did not help. My key stop working, they just would say the key was a good key but the door's batters where done NOT YOUR KYE!! They sat there and insulted my intelligence the hole time I was discomfort. I would never come here again the pool was smaller then said it would be. I have never had more issues then this place. They tryed to take money form us, the locks where shitty and had no lock to them. The food was gross and odd. No one was kind and the only time I got "have a good day" WAA when I was leaving. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillow, good to decent free breakfast. The small touches: 24/7 coffee, cookies in the evening, fresh fruit out all day, are nice. Gym is only three machines. Pool a bit small, but was nice to take advantage of the hot tub. I stayed at the nearby Fairfield Inn on a return business trip only a week apart. The Hampton had a better bed, pillows, breakfast, wifi strength, and quieter rooms (Fairfield is practically on Interstate 24). Wished I'd stayed at the Hampton Inn again instead. read more

Worst. Hotel. Ever. If I could I would leave a negative 5 rating. My friend had a horrible experience following a bad car accident while traveling through Paducah. His truck was totaled and he was taken to the hospital along with his dog. After being released a taxi driver helped him find a place to stay and this was the only place they could find. The room was filthy and the sheets were full of holes. Shower was so dirty that my friend wouldn't even use it. But the worst part was that the next morning, while waiting for a taxi to take him to rent a car, the manager refused to let him wait in the lobby until the taxi arrived. His shirt had been cut off at the hospital and all he had to wrap up in was the blanket the hospital gave him at discharge. He had to stand outside in 38 degree weather with his dog until the cab finally arrived. The manager wouldn't even fix him a cup of coffee because it was after 9:00 am. I've never heard of such horrible behavior from a hotel. Will never, ever use Econo Lodge again. read more

This Hampton Inn & Suites in Paducah is the 17th Hilton family brand hotel we've stayed in during the last month, during a month-long cross-country trip. (In the Hilton family of hotels, we've stayed in Hampton Inns, Hilton Garden Inns, Hiltons, Homewood Suites and Embassy Suites.) I'd rate it somewhat above average for Hampton Inn, though below the typical Embassy Suites and Hilton Garden Inn. Its significant plus is that it's in Paducah, a town that has made progress in revitalizing its historic downtown, especially in arts and crafts. We were upgraded to a junior suite here, which is nice. The room was clean and attractive, not usual for this brand. I did find it irritating that the sat TV tuner doesn't have a sleep timer, and that's not unusual for the many hotels in Hilton family hotels that use satellite rather than cable TV. Breakfast was average, and again that's typical at Hampton Inns. This unit needs to upgrade its breakfast. I'm really tired of the plastic eggs and turkey sausage. However, this hotel did have donuts! Like Spenser, I love cinnamon donuts. The price here, about $113 before tax, was right. And did I say that Paducah is a wonderful small town? read more

I booked a room with a roll-in shower because I am traveling with my father who uses a wheelchair. Even though the room is specially tailored for people with disabilities, there was no seat in the shower. He is not able to stand in a shower. I asked at the front desk about a shower chair and was told that there isn't one. Nobody knows where to find one and a manager was not contacted. All I got were apologies. There was no attempt made to remedy the situation. read more

Meh - it's fine. Clean, fairly comfortable, though it should be noted that they do not seem to pay any attention to standing room preferences for Hilton Honors members. In a hotel that's at half (or less, given parking lot) occupancy while I was there, I probably shouldn't have been assigned one of the literally three rooms in the place that were explicitly excluded by my stated preference. Staff is friendly and efficient. I saw housekeeping working hard to clean common spaces, not just guest rooms. Food is typical Hampton Inn: not very good, but mostly edible; my larger problem (particularly if I needed to stay here for more than a couple of days for work) would be with very limited local gym pass access (only three available), slow wireless (wouldn't connect to my web-based work applications effectively at all - and that's never happened before at other Hilton-family hotels), and sad (albeit clean) shower (combo of water temp, pressure, and shower head, which went from unpleasantly drippy settings to one that was almost tolerable, but that sounded like a tea kettle, at all available warm or hot water flows, with nothing adequate in between). Like I said - it's fine, there are definitely worse options available nearby. A three star review shouldn't wave anyone off of this place, just let folks know what they're getting (i.e. nothing to specifically recommend about the place), in advance. Unrelated note: Coleman Crossing (off of which Coleman Crossing Circle is found) is in an area of Paducah with a lot of commercial / traffic / extraneous signage. And Paducah in general (once you get beyond the old downtown-y or riverside) involves a *LOT* of fairly maddening linked access roads / strangely interconnected parking lots used like access roads / gravel drives - all of which appear to have seen better days, pothole-wise . If you're heading towards "downtown" Paducah, take care not to wind up in the left turn lane onto 24 (I think it was 24), anticipating a left turn onto an access road that will connect to the hotel's access road from the other side - it doesn't. read more

I made this reservation on hotels.com and on their website it states to contact the hotel directly if you may run later than the 1:00 am check in time. We tried the number and it was a Verizon message saying that the number didn't work. Tried twice to contact Hampton by Hilton main customer service line. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!! The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because that isn't completely this hotel's fault. However, they need to update their number online. Hilton had the worst customer service reps in the country. They are un knowledgeable and when they can't help you, they blame you. Repeatedly. It's absurd. I hope Hilton receives this message. With a name as popular as theirs, they should know how to have good customer service. Take a class from Disney or Chic fil a. Heck even motel 6 has better customer service. I called guest services twice and told them my 1 year old was trying to sleep and we had a long car ride ahead of us tomorrow. Nothing changed. Nice Hotel. The reason why it did not get a 4 out of 5 was because the front desk told me their televisions' had HDTV. They don't. They are capable of having HDTV's, but they don't have it.
