It appears to be a fairly new hotel. It was pristine clean. The hall carpet is a pleasant shade of blue. There was an incident involving a guest playing loud music. I thought the hotel clerk handled it professionally. The breakfast area is more spacious than most hotels in this price range. That made for a more relaxing breakfast. Even the food had more space. I particularly liked the way the food on the island was arranged. All the food was fresh. They served scrambled eggs, pork sausage, a variety of breads, juices, oatmeal, condiments, waffles, etc. in addition to scrambled eggs, they served some prepared egg spinach soufflés, but unlike other hotels, they took them out of the wrapper and heated them to the right temperature and served them along side the scrambled eggs. Fairfields are unpredictable. Most are pretty nice. Some not so much. Marriott keeps pretty close tabs on their franchisees and pulls the brand from those that don't measure up. This one is pretty nice. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice pool and exercise room. I'll stay here again next time I pass through Paducah. read more

Absolutely a lovely, clean and comfortable hotel. Breakfast was a definite no go. We got downstairs about 25 minutes before breakfast was over and it was ransacked. No meat left, and just a few dried up looking powdered eggs. We skipped it and went out to eat. Unfortunate, as I always expect to get the breakfast I paid for. Marriott needs to step up their game on the breakfast front. We are Bonvoy members and expect better. read more

The staff were warm and welcoming. But this hotel has some major water damage and the whole downstairs smells moldy and musty. I had the worst time trying to sleep because of the smell. They should warm their guest prior to the stay. read more

This is the fifth Marriott property we stayed at during a 3.5 week trip and it did the poorest job of adhering to Marriott's stated processes for dealing with Covid. Compared to the other places there were few signs about masks, elevator capacity, etc. The rooms had many items in it that other Marriott properties removed. And worse the staff for the most part did not wear masks. Our upgraded room would have seemed like an upgrade if it wasn't like a cave (room 212) - it faces the back of the entrance facade. So we were looking at a wall. On top of that when we opened the window for some fresh air it was immediately above the smoking area outside. Phew! The room was larger than the standard Fairfield room and was nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable. I know that the breakfast service has been cut way back but again this Fairfield was by far the worse. They claimed they were slammed this weekend but I think the owner of this property is a cheapskate. There was barely anything for the front desk to handout. Other Fairfields actually had staff hand out/prepare hot items. Not here. Overall a real disappointment. read more

Very decent hotel for a good price under the AAA rate. Appears to be somewhat newly remodeled. Clean, comfortable. Would definitely stay again when passing through. Disappointed that the pool area is not open, and no breakfast other than asking the front desk for the granola bars and fruit behind the desk. read more

The hotel was clean, my room was surprisingly large, with a separate living room and bedroom (or maybe I just booked the wrong room), and the staff were all friendly. But I wouldn't stay here again. Why? Because my room faced the interstate, and the constant sound of trucks throughout the night meant I hardly slept. Now, I know the hotel can't be faulted for continuous traffic on I-24, but they can be faulted for crappy windows that let every truck sound through to my room unfiltered. It's not like road noise would be a surprise to the hotel designers, so why choose to install windows like that? I've stayed at a number of roadside hotels and I've never had this problem. I wouldn't roll the room assignment dice and stay here again. If you do choose to stay here, be sure to request a room on the side of the hotel that doesn't face I-24. read more

This is a really lovely property and still relatively new a the time of the review. The decor is the trendy look of navy, orange and lime green. It's conveniently located in Paducah - you can quickly and easily access the historic (and fabulous) downtown. The hotel was clean. They new design eliminated the bathtub (in our room at least) for a large walk-in glass shower. The room was a little on the smaller side from what I have seen of king rooms. That said, how much room do you need? We had a fridge, microwave, desk, lounge chair and then the bed. Gotta have the bed. A couple of things I didn't love - mainly the loud, busy interstate that runs directly behind the hotel. We were on the 2nd level at the back of the hotel and the interstate was about eye level with our window. Motorcycles, tractor-trailers, big redneck trucks - I heard them all night long. That was a serious bummer. We checked out early in the morning (5:30 AM local time) and, while there was coffee available, it wasn't hot. Warm, but not hot. Not hot enough. A nice hotel. Nice staff. I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Paducah for one night during the Metropolis, IL Superman Celebration. It was only about a 10 minute drive away from Metropolis, thanks to its nearness to the highway, making its location perfect. I did make a note to ask for a room not facing the nearby highway. The room I ended up with was quiet. I'm a light sleeper, so that's always an issue for me. Rooms are modern (you can tell this property is pretty new), breakfast was surprisingly good (try the biscuits and gravy) and I enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby 24/7. The staff were friendly and helpful. Finally, the beds were some of the most comfortable I've slept on. I will be booking here again for next year's Celebration. read more

Passing through Kentucky, I really expected any place I stayed in to be backwoods and roach invested. Not what I was looking for but what I expected. This place was fantastic. The staff was super friendly. Check in was very easy. The room was fantastic. The unexpected part was how large the elevator was. Felt like the whole property was either very new or exceptionally well-kept. If I ever find myself in Paducah, KY again, I'll stay at this Fairfield Inn again without hesitation. read more

We have stayed at this hotel several times. The service at the front desk was excellent. The lobby area as well as the outside area was clean. The elevators (2) work great. Our room was 211. Late in the day we learned we were just above the swimming pool. The noise from the pool area filtered into our room and it was difficult to even hear the TV sound as several young kids constantly creamed while in the pool. I went to the first floor and found about 10 kids without adult supervision in the pool. The chlorine from the pool was so strong it too came into our room. Lastly I would strongly recommend that if you stay at this hotel get a room on the front side rather than the back side, as that side backs up to the interstate which is very close to the hotel. We heard large truck noise all night long. Everything in the room worked well including the internet, the refrigerator and microwave and within the bathroom. The room was clan and the mattress was semi-firm which we liked. The living room area was clean and comfortable. There ere two TVs in the suite. We had stayed here before and our pervious breakfast experience was marred by an unruly church group traveling by bus. This time we were cautioned by the front desk that another bus group would be eating from 7:30-AM to 8AM and it was suggested that we go at a different time to avoid the crowd. We did go at 7:15AM in hopes of being ahead of the senior group. That was not the case as the group was already there. While eating seating was at a premium the food was plentiful and all the containers were full. There was a good hot breakfast, plus Danish, toast, cereal and fresh fruit plus coffee and juice. I would have given his hotel five stars had it not been for the issues with room 211 and the overcrowded breakfast area. Suggestion--check to see if a large bus group is staying the day you plan on staying and try to work around their breakfast eating time. This seems to be a stooping point for these buses. Avoid the hotel if a large group of unsupervised children is staying and lastly pick a room other than 211 for your stay. read more

The breakfast includes hot items such as scrambled eggs and ham, which is not found at all Fairfield Inns. It is within a couple minutes of the interstate, albeit set back along a frontage road. There are plenty of food options very nearby, ranging from fast food to casual chain restaurants. There are no restaurants within walking distance. read more

Stayed here for one night, in a king room. The place is well kept, clean and front desk staff very friendly. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and average sized. Everything was nice and comfortable, but the reason this doesn't get 5 stars is the noise. The train track is on the other side of the parking lot, and the train whistles at 4 am. I thought it was coming through the walls, seriously a loud wake up!! Might stay here again, but would bring earplugs. read more

We were kept up by people playing basketball on the hotel court directly next to our room windows until 11 PM. We called to ask about it at 10 PM, and so did our neighboring room. We were both told that they allowed it until 11. The next morning, my mother was asked about her stay, and when she told her about the basketball noise keeping us up, the employee told her to call the front desk next time (like we did) because they don't allow that so late! The next morning, we did enjoy breakfast around 8:30, but the coffee was cold and the creamer was out. The other helpful detail to note for families, is that we had a tiny dorm size fridge, which is not adequate for a family-size "suite." read more

After a long night of driving, I found this Fairfield Inn in Paducah, KY. I checked in after midnight with no reservation. The overnight clerk was courtesy and efficient. I received a truly outstanding rate. This property is brand new, very clean, has beautiful landscaping and a modern design. I am somewhat partial to Fairfield Inn and this one did not disappoint. I would however request a room with even numbers (or not facing highway). We had 5 rooms at this hotel for our early family, adults only, Christmas party. We had reserved a king studio thinking it would be big enough for all ten of us to gather in. After we got in our room, we realized it was too small. The manger let us switch to a two room king suite which was great. Friday night, we all decided to have coffee and when we went down to get ten cups, they made a fresh pot and brought it to our room. Earlier, they brought us 8 chairs. The staff couldn't have been nicer. We have stayed in several hotels in Paducah over the past 15 years but have never been treated so special as this hotel treated us. We definitely will stay here again. The hotel was very clean. Love the safety bars in the tub. The only negative was the breakfast bar could have had a few more pastries.
