Stephanie at the front desk was so sweet to us, as we were in town to visit my mother-in-law who isn't doing too well. She checked on us a couple of times. Beautiful view, nice balconies on the river side. We could walk to downtown and go out to bars or Paducah Beer Works. We also drove to Metropolis, IL right across the river which has a casino and a huge Superman statue. Lovely stay. Very clean and comfortable.

The wife and I have stayed at this hotel twice while visiting family here. The location is good. You can walk to downtown, and at least one of the breweries. The rooms are nice without being fancy. We basically need the room as a place to sleep and it works for that although sound proofing is not great. There was a lot of noise in the hallway in the morning and at night. The bed was comfortable. There is a weird upright futon like thing that appears to be intended as a lounge chair. However, it is hard as a slab of cement and not useable for much other than as a luggage stand. See photo. There was an issue checking in. When we showed up at about 5:15 p.m. on our most recent visit, the staff seemed disoriented and the woman handling the desk took a long time and asked unusual questions to identify us and then finally told us it would take 20 minutes to check us in. So we left and did other things. When we returned a few hours later the issue had been resolved and the hotel gave us free breakfast coupons, which I appreciate. We will return and stay here again if our relatives stay in Paducah.

hotel fine the burger bar is horrible. Don't eat/drink there. The bartender picks olives out with her fingers.

You couldn't see the river from the seating areas outside due to a flood wall but they made it look cozy.

The dance floor is huge and the giant mirrored ball was a nice retro touch. The menu at our event included catfish which was cooked nicely but was painfully salty. The remainder of the meal was assorted comfort foods which were fine but a little underwhelming. Everything was served cafeteria style and had a very casual vibe. It was more like a school lunchroom than a wedding in terms of quality, plating and presentation. I'd 100% recommend the venue for an event but would approach their catering abilities with realistic expectations.

The event hall is located close to the Ohio River (always a plus!) and appears to be very small from the outside. We parked on the street directly across from the venue, I didn't see an easily accessible parking lot connected to the building for guest use but there is public parking on the street and behind the flood wall. When you first walk inside there is a small reception type desk on your left and bathrooms on your right. Go through the main doors and there is a very spacious area complete with carpet and hardwood floors. The walls have mirrored archways to help give space to the venue; there is lots of ceiling space and great acoustics! The main focal point I noticed was the bar (no, not just because I fancy a drink or three) because of the giant wood banisters and it just gives that old time feel. This place was a nice little venue (there was about 50-60 people) thats updated, very clean, and close to the river. Bonus points: there is a small arts district and that quaint downtown feel a few blocks over! My husband and I both decided we were coming back for a small weekend trip to explore all the restaurants and museums we drove by!

I have a passion for creating, so it was enjoyable to share this joy with others. The location was phenomenal for seeing the town of Paducah and eating at a restaurant after. I enjoyed being inspired and surrounding myself with such works of art.

I was surprised to find not only that the National Quilt Museum was located there, but that there was a National Quilt Museum at all. My wife does a lot of quilting so the decision to go was easy. The grounds of the National Quilt Museum are gorgeous and well kept. There's a large what I'm suddenly going to call a Grand Lawn with sidewalks and some statuary. Ticket are $15, but they do offer military/veteran discounts as well as students and seniors. The interior of the lobby is spacious with the check-in desk directly in front of you, gift shop to the left, restrooms to the right, and the entrance into the exhibit area dead ahead. By the restrooms you'll find the elusive wooden quilt. Yes, a wooden quilt. And it is bee-yoo-ti-ful. Once in the main exhibit hall you're amongst probably close to 100 quilts. To be honest, I had no idea how many types of quilts there were, so this was an education for me. The level of detail, craftsmanship, creativity, and ingenuity that went into some of these quilts is absolutely astounding. From a distance it may look like a photograph of, say, a tree, but when you get closer the details start to emerge. Some of them were absolutely awe-inspiring. Our visit, in total, came out to a little over an hour. Wifey was in her element so I wasn't going to rush her as the looked at each quilt, admiring the time and effort each one took. There were a couple docents who walk around answering questions and insight, where possible. Some of the quilts could be purchased...and I don't mean if you're on any kind of budget. One such quilt was sold for over $30,000. That's right and not a typo The gift shop is well-sized to the museum. It's well lit and has A LOT of craft/quilt items, bobbles, and trinkets. Pricing was very reasonable. I have to admit, I was surprise by this museum. I expected to be bored and wanted to get out, but I found myself interested and educated.
