This hotel is fantastic! I've been down in the area for work with an uncertain schedule and have stayed here three times the last two weeks, on three separate reservations, in three separate rooms. Each experience is the exact same. Clean rooms, modern, good amenities, solid breakfast, quick and easy check in. The staff is friendly, and the hotel isn't loud or overcrowded. The only issue I've encountered here is the third night my room's TV was working on check in. They sent a maintenance guy up within 5 minutes who popped it off the mount, switched some things around and got it working again within 10 minutes. Fantastic service. When you find a hotel that does it right, you usually keep going back, and if I'm ever stuck back in the area for a night I'll 100% be staying here! read more

For the price, this is perfection. Beautiful interior rooms are clean, beds, and pillows and linens all comfortable nice towels televisions work well plenty of space. The breakfast in the morning is top notch, good quality and anything you could want also beautiful interior. Who is super simple but nice. Workout room super simple but nice. I love this place. This is the second time we've been back and we will keep coming back here when we're in town. Also, the front staff there was a young man and a young woman. The young woman clearly was in training and she could not have been more lovely and last, but not least they have 24 hour coffee, tea and hot water, beautifully presented, and unlike most places where the hot pots barely keep the liquids warm the liquids were nice and hot. read more

We needed a hotel for one night in Gilroy traveling with two little ones . We decided on this location since it was rated good on Yelp . As we arrived we got greeted by Dream she was super nice !! She gave us our complementary waters that come in a Hilton bag and they were nice and cold. She explained the breakfast times and I even got a toothpaste package from her she is amazing.. We love Halloween and everything was decorated very nicely for Halloween. I had to make my kids stop getting the free chocolates that one of their electronics had in a bowl. Our room was nice and clean the beds and pillows felt amazing. Entering the room had a welcome sign on the TV that said welcome and my name on it . I like the attention to detail it was definitely a nice touch . The room had a microwave and a refrigerator very convenient . The only complaint I have is in the early hours of the morning like 5am there was like a sound I don't know if it was the pipes because maybe people were showering ? It was a loud noise that was annoying but sure what it was . But other then that our stay was perfect we felt safe with the lock keys . The lobby is huge and beautiful and that is where the breakfast is served at . They had a good spread cereals , fruit, pastries, bacon, tots , eggs , juices , coffee and of course the waffles which my kids loved . Checked in for a night after visiting Gilroy Gardens like probably most families. It was an easy check in process. I wanted to use my digital key, but wasn't able to so I had to check in the front to get physical keys. No biggie. The rooms were clean, modern-ish and comfortable. I love that they had refrigerators and microwaves. That's always a plus when traveling with Littles. It seems this facility is secure or maybe a lot of transients around? You need a key or need to get buzzed in to enter. You also need a staff member to let you into the pool area, which seems a little excessive since we have keys. Other than those little things, I enjoyed my stay. Things went smooth and staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again. read more

We booked this hotel based on the Yelp reviews. We usually stay at the Best Western whenever we're in Gilroy but it sounds like they haven't updated the property since our last stay so we found Hampton Inn. The staff is really nice. The front desk gave us a luggage cart after they noticed we had a lot of things. Rooms are spacious and nice. This is a newer hotel and it shows. Mattresses are firm. Ac works. Dock one star for the broken closet/bathroom door. The door won't close because someone pulled it off track. The staff did offer to let us switch our room but since we were settled, we didn't bother. Rooms are soundproof. You can't hear anyone next door or in the hallways. That's a big plus. Free breakfast of waffles, bacon, eggs etc. Food was plentiful. Other reviews indicated that the surrounding area was sketchy. Yes this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you need to be buzzed in when you check in and you need to use your room card to open the lobby door. Having seen the tenderloin, no I don't think the area is as bad as people say it is. There's a gas station and a truck stop nearby. Otherwise, no homeless, drug dealers etc. We would definitely stay here again read more

We stayed here for our most recent trip to Gilroy and I was very impressed. The rooms are kept really clean in addition to the entire hotel being kept really clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We loved the snack bar selection. I love that the waters are complimentary. It was nice to have towels that we could easily access at the pool. The breakfast was good and the ladies who worked the breakfast area were super nice. Parking does fill up and it gets hard to find parking at night, but overall I would recommend staying here. read more

If you need somewhere to stay for one or two nights then this isn't bad but I wouldn't recommend anything longer than that. Pros- lots of parking, gas station right across the street, the mattress is nice, good access to the highway, good tv selection, eggs, sausage, waffles etc for breakfast and their cucumber water is good. Cons- Breakfast is edible but gross, their hard water left my skin and scalp feeling slimy and unclean (which made me break out), black mold on vents, all furniture in rooms and lobby had stains on them, toilet wouldn't flush (had to open the back and jiggle the ball and chain, to the left, for it to drain/flush), rooms cleaned half ass, front desk attendant was usually busy elsewhere. read more

Nice stay at the Gilroy Hampton Inn. The entrance is much different as you will need your digital key to gain entry into the lobby front entrance. Weird, but was inside the property is very nice and clean. The basic hotel amenities are good here. You cannot enter the gym or pool without an employee letting you in. This policy should be reviewed and modified to Hilton standards. The breakfast was very good, along with the friendly staff. Located directly off the interstate is nice, and great restaurants are just several exits down. read more

I arrived late to Gilroy. It had just started to rain. I walked in and the inner doors are locked. I wondered why. They have a really good security routines. This location is located by a huge truck stop. Two gas stations and a few restaurants. I entered and was greeted warmly. The Hampton Inn is a moderate hotel. Very spacious and immaculately maintained downstairs ands in the hallways. The bed rooms are spacious, clean ands inviting. Huge bathroom but the sink and shower has cleanliness opportunities. I would stay here again. The breakfast was simple yet satisfying. They offered eggs, bacon and sausage. Waffles, toast and individually wrapped pastries. I love the refreshing water..oranges, cucumbers, lime and watermelon. The also offered fresh fruits. Very pleased with my stay here in Gilroy. Maybe I'll run into you in the future. read more

Newer hotel located in the south side of Gilroy. Where our aunt from Gilroy would tell us, "don't go to the Jack And the box there, it's where the prostitutes hang out and where people go for drugs." Aka it's a bad area. I guess I know where to go for hookers and blow. Lol. The hotel doors are not automatic, for good reasons. It's not exactly a great area. You have to use your keys to open the door or front desk needs to let you in. Even though the area isn't great, the hotel is pretty good! Big lot for parking, and free, right off the freeway. The rooms are new and clean. Comfortable bed. Small fridge and microwave in the room. AC works very well! Showers have doors. Toilet is good. Bathroom is clean. Best part, free bottle waters and the complimentary breakfast! It has the waffle maker. There's also eggs but folded up with a hunk of cheese inside (like a cheese omelet). I just open it up and throw away the cheese. Sometimes they heat it right and it melts, most times they don't. Then the microwave bacon, it's thin and isn't great, but hey, what more can you ask for? Waffles are the best. Mix some blueberries with regular and add some sprinkles and voila! You got yourself a dessert for breakfast. The bad- no pets allowed. I am a Lifetime Diamond Member. 346333398. I stopped in for a moment in my coat and tie as I travel much as a Sales professional. Imagine my surprise to see the front door locked. So there is this phone, which I call. The punk refuses to unlock the door, saying I cannot come in unless I have a room reservation. Oh and btw: It is Noon on Wednesday. Not EXACTLY a "high risk" time or day! I explain that I am a LIFETIME DIAMOND MEMBER( look it up, you fools!) and as such, I HAVE EARNED certain perks and considerations. But even if I were not a Lifetime Diamond Member I would still be pissed. I mean, really? This is a moderate traveler's hotel in Gilroy, Ca. And they lock the doors? In all of my OVER 1000 Hilton stays I have never been so mis-treated and dis-respected. Folks, there is a Hilton Garden Inn just across HWY 101 from this place. STAY THERE INSTEAD! Hampton Inn & Suites in Gilroy, exceeded my expectations. I booked this location for it's close proximity to a race in Paicines (30 mile drive away). I decided to look into lodging a bit late and realized that the majority of good options in Hollister were already at full occupancy. As a result, I looked at it's neighboring city, Gilroy. Again, due to my late search, the cost of Hampton Inn rounded up to about $300.00, which wouldn't have been the best bargain. Luckily, I was able to redeem the points from my credit card. While looking for a hotel, I usually search for how new it is and try to find photos of the restrooms on Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, and through the main website. Through reading reviews, I discovered that this location was built during the pandemic, which means everything was fairly new; was right off of the freeway; and had sound proofing done. Triple wins. My partner and I drove to this location from the Bay Area a little before afternoon rush hour. We were a bit nervous as the surrounding area was 'rough' and had a motor lodging area across the street. To my surprise, they had a guarded entrance where the front desk monitors who can come in. Alternatively, guests can automatically open the door with the room key. Everything looked as nice as the photos posted by fellow Elite Yelper Lisa W. It was through her reviews that I took the plunge. The only peculiar thing was that 1) there were no visitors during my check in or when we arrived later that night after dinner (we arrived a bit late, so most of the folks probably retired for the day), and 2) you needed to request access from the front desk to enter the Pool or Fitness Center. Bonus: They have a nice continental breakfast starting at 0600. read more

Wonderful stay! Customer service was excellent, staff was super helpful and friendly. Hotel is clean, nicely decorated and upgraded. Parking lot is well lit at night. Rooms are spacious, beds were comfortable, heater and a/c worked great! Microwave, mini fridge, iron/board and coffee machine in room. Plenty of shampoo/conditioner/lotions and soap. If you forget a toiletry item the front will hook you up! Hot breakfast was decent but they also had plenty of other options like cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit, a great waffle bar, juices and coffee station. They even give you a complimentary to-go snack pack as well. Pool seemed nice and big, didn't get a chance to take a dip since it was over ran by little leaguers. Hampton Inn and suites was the BEST hotel EVER!!! Daniel was WONDERFUL!!! I stayed there to babysit my great nephew with my Neice and her husband as they attended a wedding. Room 211 smells like mold so Dane moved us to another room which still had peeling wall paper and if you turn on the heater or air conditioner, smells like rotting eggs. Room 202 smells musty and old mildew or mold. Black mold anyone? No towels at the pool. Not the greatest Hilton inn but you get what you pay for. read more

What a pleasure to write this review. THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! From the moment i arrived, until the moment i left, I found not one thing that could have improved my stay. The room was large and airey, the air conditioner was quiet and worked perfectly assuring me of a good night's sleep. My requests of a "top floor/quiet room" was satisfied. The bed was nice and comfortable. The entire hotel, tho busy, was always clean! The entire staff was friendly and informative. A nicer group of happy employees would be hard to find. EVERYONE always had a smile on their face and took the time to make eye contact and say hello. That certainly makes a difference. The breakfast room had something for everyone and was always clean and well stocked. Hot food or cold cereal, whichever you desire they provided a very nice selection. I found it very convenient. I would not give this place a 5 stars. Who ever is the manager in housekeeping is not doing the inspection correctly. It makes me wonder what else they are not cleaning properly. The bathroom wall has stains when I went to wipe it with my Clorox it came off. The stains is by the toilet paper holder area. Also please train your receptionist to tell the Guess they have to use the key to open the main entrance door. This is the first hotel I been when the main entrance door doesn't open automatically. The receptionist have to open for you to enter the main entrance. read more

Just stayed there for a week in a half assigned to Fire in the Gilroy area. The staff was great about taking COVID precautions and the was extremely concerned about keeping all public areas clean. The hotel has been open just a few months and very new. The Manager Eric was great with assisting us with our needs. I would definitely stay there again on better circumstances. read more

I am extremely pleased with my stay here. I booked this hotel because I traveled to Gilroy for an 80th birthday party and my family needed a place to sleep for a few nights. The front desk clerk, Savannah, was extremely friendly and accommodating! The two rooms we booked were both clean and updated. The FREE breakfast was tasty and had lots of choices. I really enjoyed their specialty coffee machine. After reading many reviews regarding the homeless situation nearby I was definitely cautious about parking my car but never saw any nefarious persons. I've been looking for a nice hotel to stay for my trips to San Jose and this is definitely my favorite and new go to hotel, just got finished a few months so it's still new. Let's start off with location it's right off the freeway so it's super convenient to go get food and come in and out of and you won't believe me when I tell you the hotel is sound proof I spoke with the super friendly manager Eric about it and he told me during construction of the hotel they added sound cancelation clips and it actually works! It looks very nice and gives off a futuristic type of feeling. Will choose this hotel good price and is just amazing. read more

This hotel is wonderful!! (And I'm pretty picky. ) My dad came out to CA for work for about 3 months and I'm so glad he found this location and their amazing staff. Not only is the hotel clean, comfortable, and freshly remodeled, but the staff is warm and caring, going above and beyond. They got to know my dad during his stay. They helped him set up a room for me on Mother's Day while he babysat in his room down the hall. And they were there to help far beyond the call of duty when my dad suffered an injury at work towards the end of his stay. They even went so far as to help my dad get what he needed before I could get there and to offer me an extremely low price on a room once I was there to care for him. If you are looking to stay in the area, I can't recommend this place highly enough! The staff really puts it over the top! read more

Don't let the location fool you. I am a hotel snob and always stay at Hilton's. By far, the staff are amazing and friendly! This is one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are immaculate! The bedding is so crisp and clean. The bathroom is spotless. The have blackout shades and regular shades. I was skeptical about the area but not any longer.
