    Crumbs on floor
    Dina B.

I am shocked at the room I am in. The Hampton Inn is ALWAYS my go to whenever I travel. It's always clean , neat and comfortable. Besides that we weren't even greeted when we walked in and the counter staff took their time to even look up at us, we were given a room on the first floor and the room was freezing. We put our things down and left for the day. When we came back we noticed there were crumbs and a peanut on the floor. Then I asked my friend if the sick on the floor was hers. She said no so that meant it was the previous guests dirty sock on the floor. Obviously the floor wasn't vacuumed or clean. I am having a hard time sleeping bc I don't think the sheets were changed. We called to tell them and they said we only have a king bed room left We are friends traveling and don't want to share a bed. So disgusting and disappointing. It was pretty pricey too. Won't come Here again

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A ZERO I WOULD. This room was the most dirtiest hotel room I had ever experienced in my life. Might as well have went to a motel. When we initially came in, some of the towels were soiled with stains on them. In addition to that when I went as the first person to shower during my stay, there were previous people who stood in this rooms shaving hairs stuck onto the wall. Our toilets kept getting flooded where we had to call workers to fix the overflow of our toilets constantly. The icing on top of everything was the fact that we had bed bugs in our bed. One good thing is we got a complete refund. We have came here in the past and never had this issue. BEWARE DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Not safe. The breakfast was gross too. I've had better hotel breakfast. Very cold and not fresh.

We stayed over President's Day weekend at the Hampton Inn while visiting the Crayola Experience in Easton and hitting the slopes at Blue Mountain, so it was a good location for us that sat between both attractions. The key criteria it fulfilled was location, they had served breakfast, had an indoor pool for our 4 yo, and decent standard of quality. We had a standard size room which was on the smaller side for even a family of three. The pool was average size. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast but I liked the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate station that was available throughout the day. They also had a decent business center with two computers that I used in the mornings. It was a little packed that weekend. There was a girl's volleyball team that was staying as well as a large party of Asians (pot calling the kettle black :-D) who were also there, thus, the dining hall was packed and difficult to find seating. The gripes I had was that we had a room that had a shared doorway with another family which you could hear everything, public bathrooms weren't maintained as frequently as they should and the pool has heavily chlorinated. But overall had a generally positive stay.

I stayed in room 339 of this hotel between 7/21/21 and 7/27/21. The negative aspects of my stay included: * room smelled terribly of smoke, * tan dried liquid residue which resembled vomit was on bathroom toilet seat and bathroom door, * bathroom ceiling was spotted with what looked like mold stains, * patch on the wall as I walked in the room on the right near the floor needed to be properly painted, * television remote control was encrusted, * television channel guide did not display the programming content properly, * television's Netflix and Amazon Prime apps were nonfunctional, * I requested extra towels which were promptly brought up to me, but the wash cloth had dried dark red residue on it, which looked like blood, * I needed an extra room key card at one point and that was also encrusted with something, * the continental breakfast the first day featured near-black bananas and eggs among other things, and no bananas and no eggs the second day, * the staff seemed begrudgingly polite -- the cleaning person referred to me as "blanco" into her speaker phone when I smiled and waved hi, * the fitness room is tiny, cramped, and poorly lit, and * the swimming pool is very small and poorly lit. Positive aspects of my stay included: * the bed was very comfortable, and * the location of the hotel was very convenient. Overall this was my worst stay in a hotel ever (thus far). I have traveled all over the U.S., Europe, and to China. I was extremely disappointed and it was far below my expectations for a Hilton-brand hotel. I lodged my complaints at checkout, and was told there was not a manager there to speak with (this was at 11 AM on Tuesday). I was told I would receive a call today from the manager, but no call has arrived. There is another Hampton in the Nazareth/Easton area that relatives stayed in for a wedding that they tell me was very good. I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn over Easter weekend. I love that Hampton now offers online check-in 24 hours in advance. This feature affords you the chance to pick your room before you get there and is similar to flight check in. Because I was pre checked in, the process upon arriving at the hotel after midnight was very simple. I just picked up the room keys and was on my way. The room was clean, but slightly dated and worn out (the dresser drawer bottom was splintered and only attached by two corners). The large fridge was a bonus, but it and the air conditioner unit were very noisy. However the bed was extremely comfortable and the Waterpic shower head had fantastic water pressure! The hotel has a nice gym and an indoor pool that we didn't have time to enjoy, but we did partake in our free daily breakfast! Each day there was an egg dish and a protein (turkey sausage, ham, and bacon were our three days) plus two waffle makers, pastries, bagels, toast, coffee/ tea, juice, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, and cereal. There was plenty of table seating inside, plus a couple of tables on the patio, and a nice sofa area by the fire place that we enjoyed. The one negative of our stay was that they neglected to clean our room one day so I had to go to the front desk just to get clean towels late at night. The lady at the front desk was snarky and that said we must have had the Do not Disturb sign on- which we didn't. I was not a fan being blamed for the error instead of receiving an apology. The mistake didn't bother me until she started the blame game. Other than this gaffe, the stay was what you'd expect at this chain. I do hope they update the rooms soon though.

We have the Hilton Honors app, so check-in was easy, picked our own room, and used the digital key feature on our phone. We got the Queen Suite, which has 2 queen beds, 1 couch, full size fridge, sink, and microwave. The room was spacious, beds seem fresh, and bathroom was clean! Bathroom came with full-size shampoo and conditioner bottles on the shower wall. The water pressure was strong, temperature was perfect- only thing is there was no fan in the bathroom. The stay offers free hot breakfast, which included waffles with various toppings, omelettes, oatmeal, cereal, bread, bagel, fruits, and of course coffee and juice varieties. The dining attendees seemed pleasant and hardworking. Breakfast was available from 6am to 10am on weekends, and 6am to 9am on weekdays. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast both days we stayed, although they didn't change out any items- both days (Sunday & Monday) offered same food items. The facility also has a small gym and inside pool. No outside pool but there was a big fire-pit that stayed lit out in front entrance patio area. The only complaint is that the room walls are pretty thin, so we heard our neighbors' conversations very clearly. Either walls were thin, or our neighbors spoke very loudly. Also heard running and stomping on the hallways throughout the stay. We did stay on the first floor, so maybe it was typical due to high traffic in the lobby area.

It is centrally located in Bethlehem and near the down town area, where many popular restaurants are. There is a parking garage, which does cost $10 (discounted price) a day, but that feels overall manageable. Sadly it appears that the homeless population is growing here like much of America and several folks do congregate to shelter and charge their phones at the parking garage as it is next to a bus stop, but I have never ever felt unsafe. Just something that I have observed in terms of a change throughout my several visits. Here is why I like Hyatt Place Bethlehem: - Reasonable rates and a great deal if you're a Hyatt Rewards Member - Extremely friendly staff. Like genuinely friendly folks who truly care about your stay. The front desk staff, folks serving breakfast, and cleaning staff all took the time to say hello or have a conversation. You do really feel welcomed. - Solid breakfast offerings included with room rate. - Decent pool and gym with usable equipment. - The rooms and common areas are very clean! - The rooms are very spacious with plenty of space to lounge and unpack. - They are attempting to be a tad more environmentally friendly with large bottles of soaps/shampoo/conditioner in bathrooms and turning over rooms every 2 days. I know that in part this is because there is a labor shortage of cleaning staff, but I don't need to have my linens replaced daily or my bed made because I am a semi responsible adult. My only negatives are that they don't recycle and use disposable plates and utensils for breakfast. Prior to COVID they used true flatware and plates and it doesn't feel unreasonable to bring that back at this point, but that is a higher level system management issue and not necessarily a reflection of this local hotel. Overall Hyatt Place Bethlehem is an economical place to stay for business and families when visiting the area with consistently excellent customer service, clean rooms, and decent amenities. I definitely intend on staying here again for my next visit.

Right across the street is a garage where hotel guests park for free with validation. The lobby is wonderful with seating, front desk, breakfast dining area, and an on-site eatery and bar. (The breakfast looked amazing but we can't get up that early.) Pamela and Krishna were exceptional front desk staff that made our stay enjoyable. Our room was large and clean with a great heating and cooling system. There was a problem with the bathroom: The inside door handle was broken. The shower was too small with a strange half-door that even if angled properly, still sent water to the floor. The water remained warm and never got hot. The fitness center isn't much and we passed on the pool and it's milky water. It really looked sickly. Sleeping was great but the major problems occurred on the morning of our departure. Check-out is at noon yet, even with our "do not disturb" sign out, a housekeeper knocked on the door at 10:30 AM while we were sleeping. I think she wanted to make sure we were up to check out on time because she didn't knock on anyone else's door. At checkout, there was no way for me to pick up my girlfriend because six vehicles blocked the small entrance/exit to the property. Even though there's a parking sign for 15 minutes, one SUV remained there for over a half-hour. We will give this property another shot because Hyatt's are usually a step above.

Thankfully for him, he did not. We stayed in a three person room on the top floor (stairs were not fun). They had one of those ductless heating systems since I imagine the heating elements on the floor could not keep up. When we turned it on, every time the heating began, it sounded like a spaceship was landing in our room. The noise was so bad we inquired, and they said "it's always been that way" and "I wouldn't be able to sleep with that noise." Surprise, neither could I! I also learned there is a heating issue in another room on the 1st floor. They have known about these issues. None of them have been fixed. The single bed for the third person may fit a medium size child. My friend would have been falling off. Whoever did the online pictures did very well because it's not nearly as nice in person. Let's move onto the bathroom. The toilet is wedged up against the wall along with the heating element and the TP holder. You cannot sit on the toilet unless you sit sideways without having to jam your leg into the TP holder. The room is so very poorly designed and put together. The main room downstairs is painted well and looks nice. Our room looks like a beginner class did the paint and drywall, and the owner said oh well, good enough. I hope you are on the shorter side because if you are 6ft or taller, good luck taking a shower. Now lets talk about the towels. These towels were so cheap and small, I don't think the local dollar store would sell them. I am not sure where you could even find linens of such low quality. Morning mercifully came and people raved about the breakfast. I have to say, it was just ok. There were three choices: bacon and eggs, oatmeal and a French toast bake which was just basically a warm pastry. The food was just ok. The bacon was horribly undercooked and cheap. There was only one coffee dispenser and quite the line to get some. The snacks which are allegedly available all day were gone when we arrived back that night. When I went to check out and voice my concerns, there was a sign that basically said leave your key and get out. I sent an email to them asking to discuss my issues. Shocker, no one has replied. For almost $400, please stay elsewhere. Although not their fault, there is also loud traffic outside the building all night long. It's right next to major road/highway.

In this room, we went to use the toilet and the bathroom light was out. Again, I called the front desk and I was moved to a 3rd room. The 3rd room was adequate. The hotel rooms are pretty worn down. The quality touch in cleaning and replenishing the room is lacking. The kitchenette did not have any soap or sponges. When we went to eat there were no forks. I went to the front desk to get some plastic ones. The front desk clerk suggested I check the dishwasher. When I opened it was full of plates and the rest of the utensils. I selected this hotel because it was pet friendly and in a good area, however the cleanliness and attention to detail was lacking. Overall, it wasn't the worst hotel I've been at, but the Hilton and affiliate brands have really declined. It's disappointing they continue to charge 3/4 star hotel prices but give 2 star hotel quality services.
