The inside was nice and the rooms were small but adequate. The rooms have a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. One big drawback is isolation: there are few restaurants or stores nearby. Another is their parking arrangement which is limited and complicated since they use a separate parking garage at the rear of the hotel. Having stayed here once, I would be OK doing it again but that first time was a real challenge. They serve meals but they are typically overpriced Marriott choices and there are few nearby alternatives. In fact, a nearby restaurant, CRAVE, was highly rated but disappointing. It was quaint and our room was fine and met all our needs but overall, I would not recommend it as your best choice if travelling through Akron. Stick to an interstate location IMHO.

It's not huge, but it's there. And I bet it's better than what you've got. And it descends into a really awesome restaurant that's built on top of the river rapids and waterfalls and nature, and it's fantastic. And they keep the lights down low, so it's very romantic. The food is awesome too. It's a little expensive but not bad for the experience. The actual hotel has a 60-foot lap pool. It's not deep but swimming laps isn't an honorable use of time anyway, so don't complain about it. It's great for kids. They've got a fitness center if you want to actually do some exercise, and the fitness center overlooks the pool. Two things here: they have a sauna but it's out of order. I suspect it's been out of order for a looooooong time. And then the hot tub is also pictured on the site, but is now covered over. But you know, I guess that's kind of alright, because when the hotel was built, those were things, but in 2026, maybe we don't need to be that close to other people's butt cheeks in a confined space. The rooms are nice. Not like, Vegas-nice, but definitely more than National-Park-nice. And if you get a room facing the falls, you also get the white noise of the waterfalls, which is pretty awesome - not to mention the view of the falls. The hotel, being built along the side of the river, has many different views of the falls, from the restaurant and the rooms, to the deck of the pool, the attached bar, and the walking-path under the road to the plaza to the north. You can take this either way, and it can be a fun place to base a family trip out of, or you could spend a romantic weekend here. Or you could have a conference here. A romantic one even. o_O Finally, the people here are SUPER professional and helpful. I honestly think they're TOO professional. I'm just a common man. I don't need too much fanciness. They treated me like I was the president. Not the current president, but a decent president, and I shouldn't be treated like that. I just need the keys and I can wander around like an idiot and figure things out. They made sure I knew everything I needed to know, and then you're immediately super comfortable. This is a great place. Sometimes bad things happen. You can't listen to these reviews that are like "THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE I FOUND A CANDY BAR ON THE GROUND" somebody just dropped it there. The entire world isn't constantly monitored for your mild inconveniences. You didn't die. Move past it.

After a long day of travel, my family arrived to an incredibly disappointing experience from the start. One employee was openly hitting on guests, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. We were then informed that the elevator was not functioning properly and had to be manually opened for us every time we needed to go upstairs. The pull-out sofa was essentially unusable because the springs were so pronounced. When we asked the manager and staff for help, we received virtually no assistance and no meaningful effort to resolve the situation. It was so bad that I ultimately left the hotel in the middle of the night and booked a room at the Hampton Inn across the street, where the staff was wonderful and accommodating. If you are traveling with a family, I strongly recommend staying somewhere else. This property and its staff fell far below what I have come to expect from Marriott.

I would recommend against staying at this hotel. The staff is very friendly - which is the sole…read morereason preventing this from being a one star. However, the property itself is unkempt and disappointing. I am an Ambassador Elite member, so in theory, this is as good as it gets. We stopped in around 4 PM on Friday to check in. The concierge was very helpful and friendly, offered us waters, as gave us our room keys. The elevators were broken so we carried our luggage up the stairs to the third floor. Elevator outages happen, it's certainly not ideal, but it does happen. When we got to our room, it became quickly apparent that this room had flooded very recently as all the equipment to dry the room was still in the room and actively drying the room out. I don't like to be overly fussy, at the end of the day a hotel is just for a couple night. However, within the first fifteen minutes it became very apparent that this was not going to work for a two night stay, given that the room was all around damp and the dehumidifiers were noisy and unpleasant. We took our luggage back down the stairs to the lobby and explained the situation to the concierge. She was once again very friendly and said she had forgotten that room was in process of being corrected after an incident - whatever that means I'm not fully sure - but she was very polite about everything and moved us to a room on the second floor. We took our luggage back up the stairs to the second floor, got to our room, and the entire front panel of the key card fob of the door was missing, which was definitely a little odd, and indicates the state of which the property is kept in, however, the door still worked. However, when we opened the door, there was another guest inside the hotel room. This was a little of an odd experience. The other guests explained the hotel had asked them to move rooms so that we could have the rooms - again not entirely sure what is going on here - but the other guest rapidly packs up their items and leaves us the room. We didn't look around too much, at properties like this I find it's best to not go looking for issues because you'll find them, we were just happy this one wasn't in process of being unflooded. However, later that night we got in bed, to find a sizeable amount of blood smeared on the wall by the bedside lamp. Overall, the staff was really friendly. I am aware this is a Residence Inn, it's not a luxury property, and you have to set your expectations accordingly. However, I think between walking into a flooded room, a room with a guest already in it, and blood on the wall, it fell beneath my expectations.

It no longer is…read more I was going to rate this the worst Hilton I ever stayed at but Yelp just reminded me of a worse experience at another hotel. What is particularly bad is the bathroom. The fans don't work and you get steam trapped in the room, which leads to mildew in all the corners of the tub and peeling paint on the ceiling. The tubs have an anti-slip bottom that doesn't quite get clean and now looks permanently stained and dirty. The rest of the room is standard Hampton Inn. However, because of the fan issue in the bathroom, the room easily becomes humid. So, you need to run the AC and thus the room stays cold. Note that we had two rooms because the woman working hotel reception admitted her incompetence and said she didn't know how to out me in the larger room for the first night. We had the same bathroom fan issues in both rooms and in our daughter's room.
