I have a really busy schedule and I don't really want to waste the very little time off that I have sitting around doing laundry (personal opinion), but I heard that they had a laundry service when I actually went to their laundromat. I was extremely pleased with their service, they fold and hang my laundry, I have a next day turn around. They are also open year round and the girls are awesome. I have been using strebel's for 4 months now and have no complaints. One tip if you want to use their laundry service: they work by weight, so the more laundry you have the cheaper it gets.

I have never been compelled to write a negative review before today-- but it was THAT bad. They charged me $190 to dry clean 4 dresses and a light coat. 3/4 of the dresses were returned with the existing stains still visible, and one dress was MISSING entirely! I was told they send dry cleaning out to a third party, and that they would call me when they located my dress. After over a week of unreturned phone calls, I went there in person to retrieve the items they were "doing over" and see if they had found my lost dress. All of the dresses that were "redone" were still stained, and it turns out that they had found the missing dress, just didn't bother to call me, and when they brought it out to me it was covered on the front and back in what looks to be coffee -- these are brand new stains that happened while the dress was in their possession. This dress cost me $175 and is now ruined, and they refused to credit me back the $190 I paid for their cleaning services, which they did NOT complete since my clothing is currently in worse shape than it was when I left it in their care-- I would have been better off setting $190 on fire, and then dumping a pot of coffee on my dress for good measure. To add insult to injury, when I told the employee working how upset I was at how this was all handled and that they would be losing my business, she told me "that's fine, I don't care", and actually gave me an attitude. I've never felt so disrespected, and cannot believe a place like this is operational. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else!!!

HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE - NEVER BRING ANYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT TO HALLAK CLEANERS!!!!…read more I brought my satin Armani evening dress to Hallak. The dress was over $5,000 and this was the first time it was dry cleaned. They didn't protect the zipper pull and the paint was completely ruined on the zipper pull as rubbed off. Then, I called to speak with Leah who informed me that my dress wasn't ruined even though the zipper looked terrible and the zipper could just be re-painted to match the green dress. I called Armani in NY and in Milan to try to replace the piece, as well as Bergdorf Goodman but it was unfortunately not possible. When I called Leah to tell her to ask her how they were going to handle it, she said Mr. Hallak wanted to see the dress so I dropped it off. Armani said "DO NOT PAINT THE ZIPPER" as you may further ruin the dress and the paint could rub off on the dress. I told this to Leah and was very explicit that I was bringing the dress back only for Mr. Hallak to look at it but I DID NOT authorize them to try to fix it. When I didn't hear back after 5 days from Mr. Hallak, I called again and was told by Leah that Mr. Hallak "didn't want to call me but was taking care of it." I reiterated that they were not authorized to paint the zipper and that Mr. Hallak should call me before touching my dress. I didn't hear back for another few days only to receive an email from Leah that the zipper had been painted and was being returned to me. The zipper was painted but they got paint on my dress and then damaged the fabric in a second spot - probably trying to rub the paint off of it. I am so upset and disgusted with this situation. DO NOT EVER USE THEM FOR ANYTHING AS THEY HAVE NO CARE AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS. GO TO JEEVES OR YOUR LOCAL CLEANER AS YOU WILL GET A BETTER OUTCOME.
