I brought Hoppy Cleaners a freshly cleaned vintage tablecloth. I just wanted it pressed. The tablecloth was given back to me "very" wrinkled with a horrible weird smell. (NOT a chemical or dry cleaning smell). I paid $18.00, came home, washed it again and put in dryer. Very unprofessional service. read more

I have used Hoppy's for several years now. I have used them to clean my dining room linens, bedroom duvets, and of course clothing. They have removed some very difficult stains that I thought would be impossible to remove. My experience has been nothing but good. read more

So.... I came here to drop off a dress to be dry-cleaned a couple of week ago since we are spending the summer here. The women at the counter seem disoriented but decided to use them as didn't know of any other options nearby. When I picked it up a couple of days later, the same women was there and she had a hard time locating my item even with the ticket she gave me. It was eventually found so I just assumed this is just what it is out here? read more

If you need to get your clothes dry cleaned while you are out here for the week or longer this is the only place that will get your duds back in a reasonable time frame. They have been here forever, staples are good! read more

Detergent, etc., is available and there are change machines. So 3.5 - 4 stars. As a previous reviewer mentioned, though, the self-service is very expensive- more than most laundromats in New York City. On one hand, I guess the pricing makes sense in the context of a seaside tourist area, but on the other hand, I pity the families that live here year-round and rely on this place, the only laundromat in town. The dryers (although more reasonably priced than the washers) also seem a bit weak/inefficient compared to other commercial dryers I've used, so you end up needing to be there forever and keep adding more change. Next time I plan to opt for the drop-off service which I think may ultimately be a better value.

Only issue i had is that i was charged $8.99 (x2) for each of my Duvet covers that are as thin as a bed sheet. I have never been charged extra for this. Its not a blanket! So keep eye out for that. Also was not shown anywhere about a gratuity that seems about 14% of bill. Obviously i was gonna tip but it caught me by surprise. Overall it was great service, from pickup to drop-off. Thank you Andrew. Fyi i did give them over 100lbs of Laundry and was completed within The 24hour time frame !! I had two problems that needed to be addressed. I had a fairly new toilet that hadn't been set…read moreproperly and was moving around the floor and leaking. Also, the cold water stopped working in my shower, making the shower unusable. I lost my husband this year and am never sure about what to do when things go wrong in the house, since I never had to address those problems in the past. I called 1-Tom and they made me feel completely confident about my choice. Right from the start, I liked the fact that they answered the phone and I didn't have to keep pushing buttons to get to the right person. I was told that they stood behind all their work and they would make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Before Alex came to my home, I received a photo of him. He was confident and friendly and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Originally it looked like it was going to be a bad situation with the toilet and that the floor might have to be torn up. Alex showed me what the problem was and I could now see why the toilet couldn't be installed correctly in the first place. Alex called his boss and discussed what needed to be done. He was able to do it without damaging the floor, which was a huge relief. I trusted that 1-Tom did the best job possible for me while avoiding major repairs. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them to my friends.

In addition they fixed a few issues with our master bath shower head/handle and toilet. The company was really great, they sent me a bio and photo of the person who would be coming (which I appreciated for safety and professionalism), and the man who came was super knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He also had some great suggestions and input on the project and location in the house, in terms of what's best to save money and simplify all the moving parts--which I really appreciated. Pricing was also good and very reasonable. Would definitely recommend them and also use them again going forward.
