Detergent, etc., is available and there are change machines. So 3.5 - 4 stars. As a previous reviewer mentioned, though, the self-service is very expensive- more than most laundromats in New York City. On one hand, I guess the pricing makes sense in the context of a seaside tourist area, but on the other hand, I pity the families that live here year-round and rely on this place, the only laundromat in town. The dryers (although more reasonably priced than the washers) also seem a bit weak/inefficient compared to other commercial dryers I've used, so you end up needing to be there forever and keep adding more change. Next time I plan to opt for the drop-off service which I think may ultimately be a better value.
