They DID NOT tap into our emotions and recommend more testing. They suggested we keep a close eye on him and monitor his condition. A week later, I called and talked to Jennifer... well I talked and cried. How would I know when it was time? She listened and was so kind and understanding. A week later, Samson wasn't able to stand on his hind legs and would walk a few steps and fall over. It was devastating. We called before we took him in and the staff was waiting for us with kindness and compassion. We stayed with Samson the entire time until we had to say goodbye. Not only has Dr. Ramappa and the staff taken care of Samson for most of his life, but they were also there at the end. The experience of losing a beloved pet is so difficult but the entire staff were wonderful. We even received a lovely sympathy card a few days later that everyone signed. There isn't enough space to write how good this team is. They love every pet that comes through their doors, and they do the right thing by you and your pet. The space they are in now reflects the importance and love for our pets. I highly recommend them to be your pet's doctor!

My first visit at Modonna I had forgotten my phone, did not bring the paperwork that I needed the doctor to read from an ultrasound, I did not know the name of the medications my dog was taking... I waved down a tech to let them know that I forgot my phone, so they worked out another method to get me registered They came out to the car to get me personally. The doctor asked me to go home get the medicines and send her all the information. Most doctors would just say let me see your dog and just take the money but she refused to see the dog without knowing the whole history and what medications. So she allowed me to go get the stuff and come back. She read through all five pages of medical records, and can you believe it... She called me personally and stated everything I wanted to hear. My dog was doing better than what those papers had stated. She wanted to continue to see her on a regular basis to check for the masses. I have taken Belle back again for a lump that popped up on her leg. She said no problem with that it's just a fatty tumor. You don't have to do anything...but if it's bothering her we can take it out. Most doctors would just say " she's going to have to have that removed because it's really interfering with her walking ability."That's what I am loving about Madonna. You can tell they're not in it for the money, They really care. And I might add that on visits to the vet prior to Madonna, my dog would shake like crazy and whine. I didn't know what they were doing to her they took her in a back room and I couldn't see. But I know when she came out from the Madonna check up she was so happy and they loved her there. They said "she is the sweetest Chihuahua, most of them bite and growl and bark but she was just licking us and wagging her tail." I feel so at peace knowing that my little Chihuahua 15 years old finally found someone who loves her. I wish I would have known about this place when she was first adopted.

Dr. Middlestead was very thorough with her exam and her explanation of what was going on with Amber. Unfortunately, we need to have an MRI done to narrow down the problem. We were able to get information on what would happen after an MRI, if the problem required surgery and in the meantime we were given prescriptions for Amber to keep her comfortable until we could decide on getting the MRI ($3 - 5K). We had also seen Dr. Mannix in neurology a few weeks prior, who suggested we get an orthopedic consultation before getting an MRI. I would highly recommend this practice. The waiting room was quite full too, which makes me believe a lot of people like them.

While hearing that your dog needs multiple procedures is overwhelming, Dr. J explained everything so clearly and patiently that we left feeling informed and reassured. She took the time to walk us through the diagnosis, why these procedures are necessary, what the surgical process will involve, and what recovery will look like. She answered every question thoughtfully and never made us feel rushed. What really stood out was her compassion and expertise. She clearly cares deeply about the animals she treats and understands how emotional these decisions can be for pet owners. Our Yorkie was treated with such kindness during the visit. Although facing surgery on both hind legs is scary, we feel confident knowing our dog will be in the hands of such a knowledgeable and caring surgeon.
