I had my first DEXA scan and RMR with Rafi in January. I knew, going into it, that I would not be…read morehappy with the results because of how I had been neglecting my health and fitness, but hey.. you've gotta start somewhere. Rafi was encouraging (even though my current state was pretty unhealthy) and gave me the tools that I needed to start my health and fitness journey. After two months I went back for a follow-up scan. I was a little nervous because I didn't think I would see much progress but much to my surprise I had dropped fat and gained muscle. Once again, Rafi was encouraging and told me to keep up the good work. In another four months I went back in for a follow-up scan and was happy and encouraged to find that I've lost a total of almost 13 pounds of fat and have gained 4.5 pounds of muscle. Rafi provided me with the knowledge I needed to work towards the results I wanted and seeing those results on paper is a huge motivator for me. I'm feeling healthier, happier, more fit, and I am looking forward to seeing the results of my next scan. Thanks Rafi!

My experience at Composition ID has been amazing. I am only 8 weeks into the nutrition program and…read moreI am seeing phenomenal results. Down 12.1 lbs of fat and 14.8 lbs overall. When I started, Rafi sent me a nutrition plan that was customized to my specific needs. The next part is on me - pick foods within my macro plan and eat them consistently. Rafi checks in with me weekly to give me feedback on my food diary. The regular accountability has helped tremendously. Another thing that I love is that I'm eating real food and I'm not skimping on calories. This program isn't set up to starve/deprive you and if you follow it, you will see results. I've been telling all of my friends about this program and needless to say, I highly recommend this place to anyone reading this review. I want to send a special thank you to Composition ID for helping me work toward my goals.

Dr. Bassin is my physician in this practice. He is always on top of my symptoms, which is something…read moreI appreciate. He knowledgeable and seems to have genuine concern and compassion. I highly recommend this doctor. The office staff is very friendly and keeps things rolling smoothly. Update: I feel I should update my review because after my last review, during the summer of 2018 I became very ill and had to be hospitalized for 9 days. The Sunday night I was so sick I had to call and Dr. Julia Korenman was the doctor on call that night. She called me quickly and spent a lot of time very patiently convincing me to go to the hospital. She was 100% right because I was very ill when I arrived at the hospital. The doctor from Capital Digestive Care on call during my hospital stay was Dr. David Jager. He was extremely kind, compassionate, and I felt he truly cared about me. After I my discharge from the hospital for my follow up exam I saw Dr. Korenman and have seen her a few times since. She is always very kind, understanding, and caring. I never feel rushed with her. I can now recommend any of the 3 doctors I have mentioned from this group.

I am writing this review to share my very negative experience with Dr. Cohen. While I had hoped to…read moresee a different doctor at the practice, I was scheduled with her. My concerns began when a PA associated with the practice recommended a colonoscopy without ever performing a physical exam. The lack of care continued with Dr. Cohen, who provided no instructions regarding my blood thinners. She failed to coordinate with my hematologist, and after the procedure, when I had bleeding issues, I still received no guidance on stopping my medication or when to restart my medication. I felt there was a disregard for my physical health. I made it clear before the procedure that I had an Achilles tendon injury that was almost healed. Despite this, I left the procedure with a new complication to that injury, requiring me to wear a boot for at least three weeks. When I expressed my concerns about all of these complications, I felt she completely shrugged them off. I left feeling unheard and disrespected. I would not recommend seeing this physician.

Excellent experience…read more I have severe claustrophobia and typically get sedated MRIs - I had challenges going through with this at the Shady grove location with the cage or harness on my face and being a 6'3 240lb dude with wide shoulders I barely fit into it without hunching my shoulders. As you can imagine scrunching my shoulders further cramps my chest which feels worse if you are panicking from claustrophobia and can't catch a breath. That's what happened the last time and I couldn't get through with it and got an MRI under general anesthesia. Fast forward 2 years I needed another mri so I reattempted it, I called the Oxon hill location because they had an earlier appointment and explained my prior exp, the woman at the phone said they wouldn't put a brace on my face and to come in and try it out. So I did. The woman who runs the mri was a total champ - she was so calm and kind. She said as long as I didn't move she would put no braces on me and would let me try out a 5 min stint to get my breathing controlled to see if I wanted to continue or reschedule for another time with some Valium . I was able to go through with it ! The location looks a little run down but that lady at the front and the MRI tech are both wonderful. I think I can go through with this from now on. I have uploaded a pic so others can compare, im a big dude with wide linebacker shoulders. The tech said she fits in 500lb individuals too. How I don't know but if it's her doing the fitting I'm sure she calms them down into feeling much better.

I arrived at 6:30am for my MRI appointment and there was no signage regarding how to enter the facility. I had to discover the entrance for myself when the front door unlocked at 7:00am. Once I entered the office the nurse on duty told me that their MRI was not working and did I get their voicemail. I, of course, did not. It would have saved me a trip. Sheesh. Seems like a shoddy place to do business with. I had no interest in re-scheduling and wasting more of my limited time. Will be seeking a refund from the service that sent me there.
