I was called back for a second Mammogram and the lady that scheduled me did not tell me I needed a referral. I work in Glenelg so I left there drove all the way home to Taneytown to shower then drive all the way back to Westminster to be denied. The nice lady there was very apologetic! She said the staff that scheduled me was supposed to tell me I needed a referral! Lots of gas and time wasted! I had a great experience here with all staff from front desk starting with Lynnette she was so sweet and kind. That's what we need when going through a hard time. Sharon the Nurse was great. She took me back a to have a Stereotactic breast biopsy. Then I met Lisa the nurse and Dr. Ozgun. They both explained the procedure to me and said I wouldn't feel anything more than a little sting! My anxiety was extremely high but during the procedure Dr. Ozgun explained what he was doing while Nurse Lisa rubbed my back and held my hand. Amazing, that I hardly felt anything! even barely felt the sting to numb me. This was a great experience! Thank u for being so great, kind and supportive. Then I get a call today from Dr. Reaven to let me know the biopsy was benign. Thank God! Dr. Reaven so so kind I wanted to jump through the phone and hug him. Been here for over 2 hours. At least 3 other patients have been frustrated and left due to the incompetence. It has been this bad for years.

Called for a CT scan. Call was answered in India. I couldn't understand a word the man saying. Transferred me to someone who spoke intelligibility English. I learned that not only would my personal health info be stored in India but the radiologist reading my scan would also be in India. And no, I will never be able to talk to any employee over the phone at any Advanced Radiology facility, including the radiologist who is likely sitting at home reading scans in his Pjs (when his wife isn't badgering him). Private Equity firms outsourcing healthcare is a terrible idea and NONE of us should tolerate this behavior. I have a responsibility to insure that people in my community have good jobs. Lifting India out of poverty is not my responsibility. Since Advanced Radiology has absorbed EVERY radiology center in a 30 mile radius and I don't drive, my gastroenterologist will have to diagnose me old school through blood work and physical exam. read more

This location has 2 areas (depending on what you need to have done). The front desk personnel was very polite and quick to check me in. I arrived early (9a) for my 930 appointment, but it didn't matter. I wasn't called until about 10. I was taken back to another waiting area that was FREEZING cold. I waited there for another 15-20 minutes. If you're not ready to capture my images, why call me to the back area? Waiting in the general waiting area is acceptable until you are ready to examine me. The exam technician was pleasant and jovial. She was professional and personable. The doctor review my images and provided feedback very quickly. read more

I have not had any problems with the staff that work at this location. The office staff are professional and friendly. My issue is that it takes 1 to 2 weeks to have radiology reports read and reported back to the patient. This is an unacceptable timeframe ,especially in this day and age. read more

Let me start by saying this would have easily been a five star review had I not experienced the most surprisingly unprofessional customer service directly following my last visit. The first time I visited this location it was because I forgot my doctor referral at home while visiting a different location and therefore needed to reschedule. After a call to the customer service/appointment dedicated line I was extremely pleased a new appointment was rescheduled for later in the same day as my missed appointment at this location. When I arrived I was a bit nervous. Radiology is not something I am used to. My anxiety was put to ease when I had two very kind technicians. One each, for two separate imaging request. The first image was a bit awkward due to the location of the images being requested. The second was the most knowledgeable visit I've had to any medical facility. I was advised to contact my insurance company before the service began to see if they would pay for an upgraded image, which they did. Had the technician not shared this little gem I would have been stuck with regular ole images. The tech continued to talk me through the process and chatted me up like we knew each other for years. I was free to ask questions and felt extremely comfortable. It was due to the 2nd technicians impeccable customer service that I opted to visit this location a third time for yet a different image request. I arrived early, filled out paperwork and paid my whopping $723 payment. I typically don't add pricing in reviews but this is an important factor as I see it for why I was so taken aback at the end of the visit. I go in the back and am instructed to change, remove jewelry, yada,yada, yada. I wait in a small waiting area until it's my turn to enter. From across the hall a technician yells my name and I walk over to the magnet room (MRI). It was early evening (6:45ish) and no other patients were in the same location, however, I did not care for this approach. I hop on the table and I'm told I will be getting an IV. Hold the phone, a what? For what? The technician notices my anxiety and says well you don't have to get it if you don't want to. I ask what is it for and she says Contrast. Umm, I didn't go to medical school but my orders specifically say with Contrast so I didn't think it wise to go against dtrs orders. So, I explain I'm a hard stick, very hard, and I don't want to be stuck multiple times. Tech tries and sticks and can't draw blood. Ask if she can wiggle it some. I quickly say no. She goes to get someone else and thankfully things start flowing as they use the top of my hand. I wish I was told Contrast is administered via IV before my visit. I would have hydrated appropriately and would have been mentally prepared. I'm nervous, I didn't think I would be but I was. I start to wonder if I'm claustrophobic and today is the day I will find out. Thankfully, I made it through, wasn't bad at all. It was cold and it was noisy, but not bad. I'm directed to get dress and provided directions to the exit. Here is when things get messy, after I get dress I start to wonder about the contrast, will I receive any follow up instructions? when will results be ready? etc. I look around and there is not a soul in sight. I even looked in the window of the employee only kitchen area. I decide to make my way back to the reception area. Receptionist (for lack of knowing official title) is busy. I wait, several feet (as far away as I possibly can) until she is finish. As she finishes I say hello and say I have a question about the contrast I received. Meanwhile, two people who were waiting before I walked in head to reception station. Not a problem because I wasn't raised by wolves, I understand. Reception says they were here first. I quickly responded, I've already been seen and I'd like to talk to someone about the contrast I received. She comes closer, visibly frustrated (IMO) and I ask will it pass through my system. She then says, in a room of five other people, you should have asked these questions while you were in the back. Now this is why I posted my out of pocket expenses earlier . For $723 I don't expect this response, for an individual who just received her first ever MRI I don't expect his response, for someone who visited this location once before and had amazing service I don't expect this response! So, I quickly responded I wasn't asked if I had any questions while I was I the back. Reception proceeds to get on phone to call "the back" and I quote says, someone is up here asking a bunch of questions about contrast. She hands me the phone, I ask my one question, I leave. I have since called to speak with the office manager but have not receive a call back. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Horrible customer service. Every time we come to this location they're running at least 1 hour behind and don't have the courtesy to tell anyone. When you question what's happening, people like Karen get offended. It is literally their job to know what's going on. Plan on being there 2x longer than they tell you or go to Eldersburg. That location runs on time and treats people better. read more

The staff was friendly and attentive. The facility appeared very clean. Of course any office that has Baltimore Ravens paraphernalia around the front desk is a friend of mine! Unlike other AR locations I've gone to, this place had 2 separate areas, depending on the service you are getting, which cuts down on the over crowding. I would definitely come here again. read more

Your tone deaf response is just as irritating as your losing my husband's doctor's order for his lung CT. 0 STARS. Absolutely the worst! I went to the Westminster office for a complicated procedure and I was told that my copay was $250.00. No doubt when I asked why so much. When I checked with my insurance company the cost of the copay should have been under $100.00. So I am in for a refund, right? Wrong! I have called AR billing line 3 times! the first time the guy was rude could not find my name in the system and saw no visit where I was charged $250. So I had my insurance company call and they said the check was in the mail from AR. This was 3 months ago. Called again, same situation, AR this was 6 weeks ago, same thing, can't find the name, no one made notes at AR billing in the computer for this problem, no refund etc. Then found the record and my refund will be in the mail. No Refund. Today I called AR billing again, same situation, probably worse, and threatened legal action. Finally, the person said at AR billing named Nusa, said yes, it's been over 30 days and your refund will be there in 7 to 10 days. I will keep you updated. Remember Advanced Radiology WILL KEEP EXCESS MONEY OWED YOU FROM COPAYS. Always check with your insurance company to find out what was ACTUALLY PAID TO AR. Very dishonest company and this isn't the first time that money was kept from Advanced Radiology. Stay Away!! read more

Took two weeks of arguing with multiple employees that I do have insurance....they couldn't figure out that we have a new policy with carefirst. Then waited an hour for my MRI because they were behind, which was fine. I get taken back and told to change into scrubs....wait a few more minutes. And then was told they refused to do my MRI. If there is an issue maybe you should figure that out before you tell someone to change. Biggest waste of time. read more
