mr. Hammond just left my house, took him less than 30 minutes to fix the washer from hell. I bought this washer a year ago from Home Depot. I have had every warranty person associated with this Maytag come out to my house and tell me that my floors are uneven. That's why my washer was shaking so bad.. Because I had the warranty I had to go with these guys. My washer shook so bad it would move side to side back in front constantly and was so loud. My fridge was looked at by several other companies that told me my issue was normal and nothing could be done. Issue: Freezer would not close properly and caused it to have ice build up or thawing. Hammond came out and within 5 minutes they figured out that a slide and cog was broke. Sears has sent new parts and freezer door finally closes properly. They have also went to bat for me concerning other refrigerator issues. I highly recommend their business!! read more

Hammond was hired to repair my personal Samsung Refrigerator (2017 model) and a Bosch Refrigerator at my rental property. Parts were ordered for both, I was charged well over $1000 and neither refrigerator was repaired. My Samsung compressor mysteriously quit working after his repair on my icemaker. When I called him to address the problems, he was verbally threatening and informed me that Samsung refrigerators are junk! He is also an authorized service repairman for Bosch, wow! He refused to return to warranty his work. I had to call another appliance repair company. read more

A lot has changed since 2016. Please check their complaints on BBB, not their rating, the actual complaints, the rating is inflated. If you do choose to use them, make sure you use a credit card in case you need to file a claim. They diagnosed the issue over the phone, we paid for a part, they came and replaced it and left even though it wasn't working. After 3 service calls to work on it, and almost $500, it still isn't working. This spanned 3 months! They are hard to reach, takes time to get the part and then they schedule a week or 2 out. I was needing a repair service through Sears for a washer I am currently financing. I called Sears on Monday, they told me that a service tech from Hammond would be out the following day. Hammond called me shortly after stating they were fully booked and couldn't come out that day (my day off). I called Sears back and one of their customer service reps stated they spoke with someone at Hammond who would give me a call on Tuesday. Come 5pm on Tuesday no one called me. So I called Sears back that evening and they again spoke to someone from Hammond who stated they would be out Thursday or Friday for the repair. I work Thursday, so contacted someone from Hammond myself. The lady I called informed me that she canceled my order and the soonest they would be able to come out would be on Monday. My washer I am still making payments on has been broken since SUNDAY!!!!! The lady I spoke with from Hammond was less than helpful, and was full of attitude. They have piss poor customer service and could careless about servicing your appliances in a timely manner. Thank god it isn't a refrigerator I am needing serviced. If I could give this company zero stars I absolutely would. Never will I allow Sears to contract them to service my washer. I feel bad for other people who have needed repairs that Sears has contracted Hammond to fix. read more
