We found the price to be fair and reasonable. Anton connected us with a collaborative designer with whom he works closely (Bonnie Johnson, Spruce & Steel Design). Bonnie added a synergistic fit with Anton, providing him with critical detailed drawings and managed us (the clients) relative to design choices such as tile, lighting, hardware fixtures, etc. What stood out as exceptional was the quality of the crew and the work each of them did. They arrived on time and worked incredibly hard. Impressive was their attention to small details that shaped the outcome. This is in my parents home and apparently carpeting bathrooms was a thing in the 70's. Sam came by to have a look a day or two after we first connected thru Yelp and scheduled the job a few days after that. Sam is very knowledgeable about all types of flooring and shares his experiences and recommendations in a positive and easy-to-understand manner. He does not sell flooring but he knows how and where to get the right stuff. He was sending me links for baseboard at 9:30pm! Sam showed up ON TIME even after stopping by Lowes to pick up some materials I purchased online. Once he got here, he immediately started working and when finished he thoroughly cleaned up. He takes pride in his workmanship and it shows. His work and work ethic are first rate. He is now our go-to guy for future jobs.

FLOOR CONNECTIONS, LLC located at 507 E MAIN STREET, BATTLE GROUND, WA is by far the worst company that I have ever had the misfortune to work with. The only reason I have given them one star is because I'm required to, so I can post a review. Due to Floor Connections subpar/shoddy work, price gouging and shady business practices I was forced to file a claim against them with the Oregon Contractors Board. In addition, I filed a Small Claims suit in Clackamas County (the County where the work was performed) that eventually went before a Circuit Court Judge. The Judge ruled in my favor and I was awarded a judgement in the amount of $10,585.52. The owners of Floor Connections (Jason Aw and Poh Aun Aw) never acknowledged the judgement, so I therefore had to file a claim against their surety bond in order to get paid. Their insurance company paid the claim. My suggestion to anyone reading this is run as fast as you can from Floor Connections and find a reliable and legitimate company for your flooring needs.

(we had a flood and needed to fix the damage, during which we decided to do some upgrades too) Nick was kind, professional, hardworking and gave us a fantastic deal! Literally charging us a 1/4th of what the other contractor said it would cost! With Masterworks Tile we felt truly taken care of, and the work Nick did is absolutely gorgeous! Prior to hiring Masterworks, we had a horrible experience another contractor (NW Restorations is an absolute nightmare. To call them unethical would be the understatement of the year) who took $1,600 as a down payment and then did little to no work for the next 3 months! We had to fight in order to get them to do anything to help us. Once we finally realized that this project with NW restorations was going nowhere and we needed to move on with a different contractor (and then fight to get our money back from NW Restorations. Even after a fight they kept $631 of our money, and they did ZERO work on the actual rebuild of our bathroom) we were so afraid of getting stuck in a similar situation of swindled and taken advantage of again that we searched long and hard before deciding to go with Masterworks Tile Installation. BUT Nick laid ALL of our worries to rest! We filled him in on what had happened with the other contractor and that we were afraid of going through that situation again. Not only did he help us feel heard and validated our concerns, but his hard work and compassion truly turned this whole bathroom repair experience around for us!! Prior to working with Masterworks Tile Installation our bathroom situation had become a literal nightmare. But, once we hired Masterworks Tile, Nick and his crew got to work THE VERY NEXT WEEK! Nick and his crew demoed our tub, installed a new tub, fixed the plumbing to the tub, installed new shower fixtures and plumbing for that, installed new tile flooring and installed new shower tiling with a niche. Our new shower and flooring is a night and day difference between our old 1990's bathroom! We literally have not gone a day without talking about how much we LOVE our new bathroom!! Nick is clearly a perfectionist, and we have reaped the benefits of that! Nick and his crew worked hard into the night and even a weekend day in order to help us get our bathroom done in time for a deadline we had needed to meet. While NW Restorations (the other guys) spent 3 months giving us the run-around and not doing anything to actually repair our bathroom (Soon I will make a review about how absolutely horrible they are, if you want to read the details because it was bad. They were unethical in so many ways!). But Nick and his crew were the exact opposite! They worked fast, they worked hard, they were friendly, and kind and they gave us an incredible deal! They walked us through every step and when we started to go a direction that would not have worked, they immediately stopped us and politely offered a correction for our misstep indicating that they would do anything we wanted them to do, but they educated us to why they thought we should go a different direction, and they were absolutely right! We thought a certain look would work and certain products would work but they educated us and helped us understand why it wouldn't and then steered us in a direction that not only worked but would look better too! Nick is incredibly professional and kind! I would ABSOLUTELY trust him with any and ALL future tile work we need done! I even spent some time chatting with Nick and it became clear that he's clearly an ethical family man who works hard and follows good business practices. I cannot say enough good things about Nick or Masterworks Tile Installation. OH! I just remembered, they even fixed our toilet for free, because they were there, and they saw the problem happening. You cannot beat that kind of service! They are truly a one-of-a-kind business that you don't see often anymore! We will always be grateful to Nick and his crew. Always!

He and his crewman Rody were so respectful of our house, protecting the floor, counter, and cabinets with perfect clean up at the end. Everything was timely and he kept us informed as things moved along. Nick is a true master craftsman with extreme attention to detail and perfectionism. They even fixed a sheetrock booboo that the granite installers made, and you can't tell where it starts or ends. We also had them re-caulk our master bath shower which included steam cleaning. They got out 2 bad corner stains completely and the caulk lines are perfection, which is so satisfying to me every single day! They honestly look better than the originals. I would completely recommend Masterworks for any tile project you might have.

Where should I start, I'll just list…read more.. 1) started later than agreed to and finished way past the stated work timeframe 2) artificial turf, was not finished along the edges where the turf meets the mulch, I had another company come out and finish the turf 3) several plants have died while others right next to them have thrived which tells me they were not planted correctly or the drips are not near the plants roots. Also, when they plant they do not use any kind of soil amendment like most companies automatically include. 4) Edges of the turf have been consistently peeling up along the pavers, not sure if this is the high-quality turf I paid for or a cheap imitation, but I never had this happen on prior turf that I had installed that looked as good as new 6 years after it was installed 5) one of the irrigation low voltage lines was cut, and when this was pointed out to him, he stated I probably did it. He worked out a cheap workaround with a battery operated timer (not connected to the one in the garage) to get the backyard irrigation running. The junction box was not buried like it should be but left on top of the mulch with exposed wires. Valves stopped working about six weeks later and when I contacted him, he said it was not under warranty, but he could come out and repair it. I hired another company to come out and fix it, and they indicated that the work was some of the worst that they had ever seen. Speaking of irrigation, I have a leak somewhere as you can see in one of my photos where the water is still running and the drips are off and I have one area where the connection came apart and had to repair it myself. I'll be having the sprinkler company come out to bury the junction box, fix the leak, and fix the area where they connected the drip system to the sprinkler head. (Great company by the way) 6) as soon as he had finished the work he was demanding payment. He was contacting me repeatedly, and I felt his tone was somewhat hostile. I told him I wanted to check everything out before paying him and when I did, I found out that the irrigation in the back was not working. He still demanded payment stating he had workers to pay and I told him I wasn't going to pay until he fixed the irrigation. I agreed to pay him part of what I owed, and I would pay him the balance when the irrigation was working. A week later he did his "work around". 7) communication was very poor throughout the project. The six day project ended up taking over three weeks and was incomplete when I had family visit in town which he knew about prior to starting the job. These are just some of the reasons why I do not recommend this company in anyway . I've done a lot of renovations in the many homes I have owned, this is by far the worst contractor I've ever worked with.

As well, there was no informing me that I would have to pay a service fee when I called just to come look at the recliner. So Note To Self if you ever need this gentleman for his services and I'm sure he would've fixed it if he could have, you're going to have to pay a service fee. Again, he was very polite and very kind.

I then went to their website link. I filled out a form requesting service and described my repair. I have an electric recliner that was coming loose. I could tell that nuts needed to be tightened and it was to the point that one had worked its way off. I received a text on my phone, fairly quickly, that said we do these kinds of repairs all the time. When would I be available on Friday (the 20th) which was the next day. I responded and they said the repair would be $150. I thought that was very expensive, but it needed to be done and I did not know who else to contact. So I agreed. Yesterday morning the young man who came was a little late but did get to my house, within the appointed hour. He was respectful and well mannered. He was well prepared with tools. He was Ukranian and spoke little English. He did have a translating app on his phone. He quickly did a good job, tightening all the nuts and I paid him in cash. I do think it was a bit of a pricing gouge, but the work seems well done and quick. And in comparison to the money spent on my chair and the life I will get out of it, it is a small price. The gentleman's name was Oleksander Tatsiuk and was with NextGen (Not Mr. B's)

In the end, both my wife and I were thrilled with the results. Early on when I asked specific questions, he smiled and said, "this ain't my first rodeo" and he was right. His skill sets were outstanding and the crew were knowledgeable and courteous. In the end, we spent a little more than we budgeted but we got much more than we expected. The enclosure is beautiful and they added some additional outdoor decking to enhance the overall look. We couldn't be happier.

He completed the work in a reasonable time but the color of the grout was white when he finished. When I questioned that, he said it would darken to match the tile color over the next 8 hours. It did not. I was paid in full which was my mistake to not wait to verify the color would change. I asked him to return and do the job as we had agreed & he said he would then failed to return texts. I would NOT recommend this business and have filed a complaint with Yelp.
