Loring Park Essentials - Reese's dipped animal crackers

Loring Park Essentials

(1 review)

On Tuesday, I had some time to kill at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. I knew it when…read moreI had reached the Air Canada check-in counter and a man ahead of me started cursing that the flight to Toronto was delayed. I'm so used to delays on Air Canada. It's sadly as predictable as the sun rising and setting. After grabbing a late lunch at Leeann Chin, I decided to explore Lindbergh (terminal 1), specifically the area right of security. I found Loring Park Essentials. I headed inside the store. I had nothing better to do. Loring Park is a neighbourhood in Minneapolis. It's mainly residential, with a lot of parks, a huge lake, and walking and cycling paths. The Minneapolis Convention Center is also in this area. So, what are essentials for this area? I'm not sure if chocolate bars and hoodies are must-have items, but you can get them here. This store has Twin Cities souvenirs and products if you need to get a Minnesota gift for a special recipient in your life before you jet off. It is also a convenience store. If you're hungry or thirsty, you can purchase snacks and drinks. As much as I loved the t-shirt that said, "But first, hotdish," I was here for snacks. Sidenote: A hotdish is the Minnesotan term for a casserole. I love popcorn. No, really. I LOVE popcorn. This store has Annie B's popcorn that hails from Saint Paul. The challenge was trying to decide what flavour to get. I went with the original caramel popcorn. I paid at the counter. I had a man who was friendly, but seemed a little out of it. He helped with my transaction. I paid with a credit card. Done! I thanked him and happily left with my bag of popcorn. As I sat at the gate, waiting to board, I ripped open the bag and had some. Wow! The caramel was flavourful and tasted rich, but wasn't exceptionally sugary. The popcorn was perfect. I loved it. I now know where to get some local popcorn at the airport. I'm glad that I visited this store. (289)

I like this Kohls because it is well maintained and doesn't have a lot of misplaced merch like you…read morecan sometimes find at stores. The employees have been helpful whenever I have a question. I generally can find what I'm looking for and as a rewards member I often have extra discounts or Kohls cash. I think most products are priced at MSRP prior to discounts. In general the quality of their products also is good quality. The store offers lots of variety as well, whether you are shopping for clothes, shoes, bed or bath, kitchen, and even suitcases and vacuums.

I'm not sure what possessed me to continue shopping, but I visited this Kohl's store. I had no problem finding a parking spot. The store is located in a plaza of box stores, which includes Walmart. There is tons of parking. I saw some nice tops and sweaters. I went to try on a couple of sweaters in a fitting room, which was clean and spacious. There were hooks to determine whether I had to have the item, if it goes back on the rack, or if I'm still thinking about it. Frankly, the sweaters that I was trying on weren't that flattering on me, so I had to put them back. This store has an amazing selection of PopSockets. I've never seen anything quite like it. They were all on sale. I saw regular ones that I am familiar with. You can get just the tops and swap them out. There was a cute donut enamel one. There were also fancy jewelled ones. I bought the purple jewelled one because it was pretty in my favourite colour. I liked the travel section. There were nice luggage pieces and accessories. There was an aisle of discounted watches and bracelets. I spent some time looking at everything. There was a bracelet with an infinity symbol as a charm that I knew a friend of mine would love. I went to pay at the checkout. I collected Kohl's reward points through the app on my phone. The cashier was helpful and patient. I used a credit card to pay. All was great. I had a decent shopping experience here. I'm not sure how I managed to continue shopping that day, but I did! (22)
