Great spot for good food and beer after a day of fish. Located next to the marina. I enjoyed the citrus shrimp and avocado salad. We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp, stuffed jalapeños and burgers. All food was delicious. We enjoy the cold beer which was very reasonably priced. Service was a little slow, although understandable as they are always very busy. Also a great place to watch games, we caught game 7 of the NLCS and the place was buzzing. Another night we went and they had live music. Always a good time at Hammer Head's! Definitely caters to the Americans. Excellent food. The coconut shrimp was very yummy. The pineapple sauce is a bit sweet (no complaints just a statement). Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Taco salad was huge and very good. read more

DELICIOUS! we love this place! the music is lively, the waiters are fast and friendly, the view is amazing the bar is stunning, the area is very gorgeous and everything about this place is amazing. We ordered a pizza and wings of course because we are very whitewashed mexicans. The food is amazing and was served quickly! This place is totally bar food so don't expect too much. But it is definitely good bar food. We had a pizza and it was enough for two. The pizza was also jam packed LOADED with cheese! This is how pizza should be. We went later in the evening so there was more of a bar vibe going. There was live music outside which is always fun. There's tons of drinks on the menu to choose from. They had fish bowl drinks. In my experience the drinks are usually big, but here they are ginormous! It took four of us to finish. The drink was also really tasty which helped. read more

The food was really good. Very fresh fish. For some reason our waitress seemed to not notice us too much. It took a while to get the check but that won't discourage me. Came here on a Saturday night in January for dinner and drinks. There was a live band jamming outside prior to me arriving. Indoors and outdoors was fairly busy, but there was no wait (arrived ~6:00 PM). The chips and guacamole were delicious, as well as the clam chowder. The menu says they'll cook whatever you catch! We go here almost every day around noon for a tequila sunrise and a margarita. Their food is amazing too, our personal favorites being their boneless buffalo chicken pizza, fish and chips, and the giant pile of nachos. The staff is fun, warm, and they all speak great English, though are patient and helpful if you're working on your Spanish. Bonus: fast WiFi!!! read more

Hammer Head's is a bar that serves good food. It is at the marina and it is definitely not Mexican influenced. This couldn't be a more American bar and if it was slap bang in the middle of Tennessee. In Memphis it would be a three star, here it is closer to four...but it still needs a shove, so three it is. The staff is Mexican, but speak very good English and there is Mexican beer on tap. But that's where the deference to Mexico ends. However, the beer is tropical cold, the shrimp and french fries were brilliant and the menu is quite varied and includes north of the border staples such as smoked ribs. It is a friendly bar, playing 80s rock music, serving reasonably good American style food at, it must be said, good American prices. Hammer Head's is a decent bar with good food, good service, good decor, and it is in a prime location. If while you are on vacation in Mexico you feel like you want a brief vacation from Mexico...Hammer Head's is the place you want to go. But if you are into full Mexican immersion, this is not the place for you. read more

We just had dinner at Hammer Head. Thefries were way over cooked in bad or over used oil and so was the fish and chips. We told the waitress and we saw her show the cooks but they didnt seem to care. That was too bad because we have been there for lunch and it was good.. so maybe dinners are not as high of quality. Probanly wont go back again since it is not consistent. read more

I just went for appetizers and a drink. The dry ribs and coconut shrimp impressed me. The flies landing around me not so much. I was sitting outside exposed to the Sonoran sun. I had a " shark attack " cocktail. I'm difficult to impress with cocktails and this was no exception. This place is near one of the marinas. read more

This is a great joint for cocktails and beers. It is right on the marina so you have a view of all of the boats! Which comes in handy when you're waiting for someone to come back in from fishing. The outdoor seating is awesome for drinking and enjoying the weather. Service was just okay but the ambiance is fun and I really enjoyed it. read more

Food is amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. From the apps to salad to dinner. All wad cooked to perfection. The service at the bar was awesome. Pepe was our bartender every night we went and knew our names and treated us like family after our first visit. This is a great place with great location, food, and atmosphere. The have an English menu with a lot of American dishes. The menu is large and the flavor is very consistent. One thing to always remember in Mexico is that the service is a little slower paced. This place is no exception to that rule. But, everybody is very friendly and they have air conditioning so they're open year round. read more

Went here yesterday with friends who have been coming here for years. Long before it was Hammerheads. Our waitress took our order for 3 Margarita's when she delivered them at 2:04 p.m. I asked if they were on the happy hour price. She said no because she entered them into her computer at 1:58 p.m. and happy hour is at 2:00. We told her that was not okay, after arguing a few minutes with her and her boss they finally agreed to give us the happy hour price.
