I absolutely hate writing negative reviews. If you look at my review history, you'll see that I almost always leave positive feedback. It takes something truly exceptional for me to give a one-star rating, but this experience earned it. As a first-time customer, I was immediately given a very sales-heavy introduction and pressured to sign up for their membership club before I had even received a haircut. That was off-putting, but I decided to give them a chance. Unfortunately, the haircut itself was disappointing. I would honestly compare the quality to a budget chain salon, and my wife ended up fixing parts of it when I got home. Normally, I would have simply decided not to return and moved on. However, the bigger issue came afterward. When you book online, they keep your credit card on file and apparently schedule follow-up appointments automatically. I was never aware that another appointment had been booked, and when I didn't show up, I was charged 100% of the haircut cost. Being charged the full service amount for an appointment I didn't knowingly schedule is, in my opinion, an extremely questionable business practice. At the very least, customers should be clearly informed and required to actively confirm future appointments before being charged for missing them. To their credit, when I called and explained the situation, they did refund the charge. I appreciate that they made it right in the end. However, between the aggressive membership sales pitch, the poor haircut, and the surprise appointment charge, I can't recommend this business and won't be returning. I would strongly encourage potential customers to read the fine print and pay close attention to any future appointments that may be scheduled after your visit. read more

This place is so nice. I initially brought my husband here for a pedicure for Valentine's Day and he was so shocked since he claims I never do anything for him for Valentine's Day. He had a pedicure and a beard treatment. He loved his pedicure and the complimentary old fashioned. I even had a margarita while I waited. He joined the membership and he came back with a guy friend for another pedicure and beard treatment. They both enjoyed their treatments. The guy said he will comeback as it was so nice to be in an environment where he is with men and it's relaxing. All in all they were happy and will come back. read more

I never had any service even completed by this place. That's because when I was on my way they had called me 5 minutes after my appointment. I was running a total of 10 minutes late. This was my first appointment. The message said that if I was 10 minutes late, they would have to re-schedule and they would charge my card. Seriously? I was so turned off at that point that I asked to speak with a manager. She told me that was their policy. I understand having policies in place, but as a first time customer this was extremely off putting. I won't be back. Hidden Gem in Folsom! Got a full day of services here gifted to me from my fiancé for Father's Day... First time ever getting a nose wax; and the air has never felt freshener and it wasn't as bad/painful as one would imagine. Rollo hooked me up w the the absolute best shave I've ever had in my life; and I've had quite a few good ones... His pride in his work, time and attention to detail was really felt and it showed. Also made sure to stop and make sure I was hydrated in between with my complimentary drink. The back spa room is super relaxing with two TVs to relax to... unfortunately the nail tech seemed to be either rushing or not paying full attention and cut my finger and had a pretty good bleed... probably will not be back for any mani/pedi services in the future... But fk this is butfk Sacramento, and you guys try to charge like if you're in Beverly Hills, Hamptons NY. But sh!7 the quality of work is semi decent. And the vibe that the staff gives off. Is like their sh!7 don't stink B's work BS STAFF BS EVERYTHING!!!! Not only is Aisha super thorough with cleaning my nails but also the way she files my foot with the metal file is incredible!! I never knew I had that much that could be cleaned!! Not only are you given a relaxing, hot stone massage on your legs but also you get these little hot stones put between your toes, which is so relaxing and such an upgrade! Heard good reviews and decided to visit. If you are not White, just do not even think about visiting. From front lady to stylist you will be not be welcomed. The moment we entered we could feel something was off. No greetings etc and when other client ( white) walked in, he was offered drink , water etc in front of us. I'm honestly not sure what to think. The haircut was good enough. But, being my first time here, I didn't receive what I signed up for. I made an appointment for a premium service haircut, but definitely didn't receive what's in the description of the service. In the description it states a straight razor outline, warm foam, and aftershave neck massage. None of which was completed. I went to the front desk and was informed I received a first time client discount of the premium cut, and was charged the price of the classic cut. That's great and all but, I only received a classic cut to begin with. None of this initially dawned on me until I got home and read the description again of the services provided. Three months ago I had a pedicure here. I had many. Now I am still suffering from an infection and life is tough. Unclean, unqualified staff. I likely will never chance it again.
