Dr. Lang is impatient, aggressive, ill-tempered and doesn't know how to give an injection the right way. Went for a simple cavity to be filled. Because he was impatient, he injected me incorrectly with Citanest and said it was quick acting. It didn't work. He injected me over and over again- about 8 multiple times, while getting further frustrated. Suddenly I got very cold and started shaking uncontrollably, but I didn't know what was going on. Then, when I kept shaking and got worse and worse and couldn't control myself or stop, I figured something was wrong. I was in shock. The dentist put me in shock.
A family member who had come along, saw me shaking and getting pale and got me out of the chair and took me home. I am young and healthy, so I didn't know what had happened. Later on, the drug did make my jaw and face numb, but it wouldn't wear off for about 6 hours because of so many shots. Then I had massive pain at the injection areas and there were marks from all the shots he gave me. I called his office and they told me to hold warm water in my mouth and put warm compresses on my face, as my jaw was affected as well and I couldn't open or close my mouth without pain. I did what they said, which was not easy since the cavity wasn't filled and the warm/hot water only made it more painful. The pain was consistent for two weeks after.
I found out later that he injected me wrong and he put me into shock. What I had experienced- the uncontrollable shaking and feeling ice cold- was shock caused by the drug, being injected incorrectly by Dr. Lang, into a blood vessel, and it flooded the bloodstream and went throughout the body inducing dangerous shock.
