    Avocado toast
    Melanie S.

This is a great truck parked at the Bazaar at Apricot and Lime. They have a really nice set up in the courtyard with beer and wine and a seating area. I had the avocado toast - which was the fried brussles and balsamic, and asked for a side of pico for it, and the truffle fries. The toast was a nice size, with fresh avocado, feta, the fried sprouts and drizzle. I personally didn't love the brussles/avocado combo, but I liked them both separate so was still a happy camper. I ate my toast with the pico and then the fried brussles! They were very good! The fries were a huge serving, and they were like fair fries with truffle. So good! I pretty much go to the fair just for the fries, so hit up Hamlet's when it's not fair season. The soup of the day was curried lentil, and if I hadn't been flying home that day, I would have had some of that for later, it sounded so good and the vendors in the Bazaar said all of the Hamlet's soups are amazing. It took about 30 minutes for my food on a not super busy Friday, so be ready to be patient. I visited with one of the vendors for a while, and then after I ate, just hung out in the courtyard and enjoyed the live music until it was time to head for the airport!

What a cute little tucked away gem! I visited Hamlet's Eatery for the first time for an event and I was blown away by the location, the staff, and the food! The food: I ate a breakfast burrito with chorizo and it was delicious. Very flavorful, excellent portion (not a small burrito!), it wasn't messy or falling apart - I really enjoyed it. The location: I don't spend much time in Sarasota, but even if I did, I'm not sure I would've noticed this little hidden treasure because it's located away from the "main strip" where most of the traffic would be directed. I'm so glad we had an event to attend here because I will definitely be going back - the outdoor space is so nice, especially for those nice, sunny Florida days. There was live music, the musicians were wonderful and they played/sang a large variety of music, it set a really lovely tone for the space. There's also a little Bazaar / Indie Market on location that is super adorable. It is much larger inside than I initially expected it to be - there are so many vendors selling beautiful art and all of their creations. I love a good market :) The staff: EVERYONE was so kind. I mean, everyone. Even the vendors inside of the Bazaar - it was such a pleasant experience. I will be back, and I'm bringing friends - everyone should be introduced to this cute little spot!

This is their courtyard. They actually own the building as well. They use the food truck as a kitchen.

Their food is fantastic. I had their hamlet burger and so did my buddy. Absolutely fantastic. Very fresh. Enough food to make a big man like me happy.

Returned to enjoy both the food and ambiance- a unique experience in a good way. Support local businesses and artists. Pet friendly as well

Amazing food and location. Definitely make a trip here, especially if it's a beautiful sunny day! The food truck is situated in this lot right next to a bazaar. On the lot, there are tables and patio furniture to relax and enjoy your meal. The customer service was top notch, everyone is very friendly. I ordered the egg sandwich on sourdough. Amazing! One of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had. The egg was perfectly cooked! The sandwich also had thick and crispy bacon and gooey cheese! The sourdough bread was nicely toasted and held the sandwich together well. That first bite was like heaven! They serve all fresh ingredients and the sandwich was reasonably priced. Next time I'm in Sarasota, I'll definitely be checking this place out again.

Being that their motto is "To Meat or Not to Meat", Hamlet's Eatery is pretty much the perfect place for myself and my family. I'm a pescatarian and my husband is not, so this fun food truck caters to both of our needs. The meatless breakfast burrito served with sour cream homemade pico was extremely flavorful and can easily be customized to add more protein. The food truck is located in a spacious lot just adjacent to The Bazaar indie market so it's easy to picnic, stroll the vendor stands, and make an afternoon out of it.

Food - phenomenal Service - outstanding Ambiance - eclectic/funky This is a gem: grab a bite to eat from Hamlet's eatery and enjoy the outdoor space and often live music. Then you can mosey into the little craft / small business shops and browse art, pottery, vintage jewelry, clothing, etc. i recommend the veggie / pesto sandwich!

Absolute best sandwich I've had in years. Fresh, tasty and the flavors of the veggies with the toasted bread were VERY memorable.

We came here for a #YelpTampaBay event. Everything we had was tasty and full of flavor. The panini was something I look forward to having again soon. Perfect amount of veggies and cheese...but the toasted bread it was on makes it a show stopper! PERFECTLY toasted (like I was after the Mimosas). I can't get over how every bite left me wanting more. When is the last time you had something that good? I was one bite away from the feeling my friend was going to have to roll me out of there. I really enjoyed the colorful outdoor atmosphere. We live in Florida and we really enjoy a good outdoor eatery with good shaded seating. You can actually make an afternoon of it here and do a little shopping at the attached Bazzar as well. Everything from a clothing boutique to candles to local artists on showcase. Everyone was happy and very helpful. Side notes: They offer a doggy day. You can bring your pup to mingle and you can enjoy a bite to eat as well. Check their site. Parking spots are plentiful. The menu allows for all options to be with meat or...not to meat. If that is the question, Hamlet's Eatery is the answer.

    A sign of greatness.

I've had the pleasure of eating here twice now. Advise from the chef, "order what's on the board, this slop you can get anytime." ::gestures to menu:: So this time I ignored the menu and ordered from the board. There's no way to go wrong, you're going to get quality food, and if you're a vegan, there's no better option in sarasota!!

I can sum up Hamlet's in one word: YUM! I've loved everything I've eaten at this amazing food truck. As a pescatarian, I love that they offer so many vegan and vegetarian options. I also love that I don't have to worry about their rice or soups having chicken stock. I've tried their grilled cheese with pesto, tomato soup, veggie soup, and breakfast burritos ($12 and I do real eggs with vegan sausage). The french fries that come with the grilled cheese and other entrees are stellar - thick cut, perfectly crispy, and delicious. Lunch or breakfast will run around $10-12 per person and is totally worth it.

The food is Mondo Biondo with flavor. The great thing is anybody can eat here. It is billed as a vegetarian vegan place or plant base place actually but they have meat and fish on the menu. Just they're very careful about where they source their products. I brought two of my friends here that are very picky from the Midwest and they were in love with the place. It has a nice ambience, very clean, kind of industrial, but warm ceilings are very high, so even though it's a small place it does not feel small in the least. The Chef is amazing! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and customer service oriented. It is on one of the main streets in Sarasota and if you walk by, it may not look that interesting but I am telling you you are missing out on a truly exceptional food experience. Go here do not wait. The wait time was about 45 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The crab cakes were delicious, but the sauce was a miss for me. It was way too spicy. With crab cakes, I think it's best to keep it simple with a tartar-style sauce, of course vegan. I ended up eating them without the sauce and enjoyed them much more that way. The tofu Reuben was good overall, but the bread was a little soggy. A thicker or sturdier bread might hold up better. Even so, the flavors were good and I enjoyed it. Last but definitely not least was the raw blueberry cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious! However, the sauce served with it wasn't for me at all. Thankfully, I tasted it separately before pouring it on the cheesecake because I would have been disappointed. The sauce wasn't sweet and took away from the dessert rather than adding to it. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed most of what I ordered. I'll definitely be back, and next time I'd like to dine in and enjoy the meals.

This was actually my birthday pick…read morefor me - a selfish unethical vegan, its not about the animals, its about my health and not dying too early?? . (actually I am a Nutritarian Whole Food Plant based eater) Got a 2 hour (free) parking spot just a block away!!! Score in Sarasota and in this neighborhood is crazy difficult parking especially in season. (this was a slow hot august Saturday night) A little light traffic this time of year on a Saturday night. We were greeted promptly and was efficient and awesome through out. We REALLY like the interior, the seating, the cleanliness etc. Drinks were awesome. We got single crab cake app and the shitake "escargot". These TWO items were fantastic!!!! My wife thinks naming and promoting something as 'cheese' or as escargot/snails that is really mushrooms is - dumb. So having said that she like the mushroom appetizer and we both love shitake and most all of the mushrooms!!! (I eat my G-BOMBS every day!! Greens, Beans, Onions, Mushrooms, & Berries) We ordered a Caesar Salad as this is one of my wife's go to favorite salads at a few Sarasota restaurants with obviously the croutons and the dressing and of course the copious cheese shavings and chunks making the main SAD diet ingredients and hyper palatable dopamine triggering aspect of it so enjoyable?? She want to see how a vegan substitute might fair? I had hope a thick shave cashew or parmesan vegan attack and a creamy thick vegan dressing might result, but the dressing was almost void of notice and there was no grated or shaved cheesiness at all. It was not really a contender for a very simple Caesar salad. Just a thin white wetness on the leaves. For our mains my wife got the Love Loaf in a tomato soup as she tries to stay away from white potatoes because of her Lupus and other stuff. We realized later that the tomato base HAD a potato cream in it as well????? Yikes. The presentation was fantastic and a host of fresh colors and vegetables was a wonderful site. The Love Loaf itself was just okay with a lot of ingredients and flavors but nothing stand out. The accompanying broccoli in her dish was distractingly sugary/sweet and the carrots almost a candied sugary item. Frankly as a vegetable guy this was heresy? mushy carrots and broccoli soaked in sweetness? (sugar, jackfruit, honey?? - no can't be that?) We just did not like that. I got the Pan Roasted 'smoked' mushrooms. This was accompanied by a broccoli mash. The mash was ok. Like the loaf I am sure it has lots of good things in it but it was so processed and mashed it has no distinctive character or variety of flavors or textures? The 'smoke' or the cooking process for this was NOT to my liking. It just tasted like liquid smoke and very artificial and a bad taste in my mouth. The mushrooms were very nice and fresh but overall I would not try this again. I think this has a lot potential but instead of trying to make substitution foods for snail, meat, barbecue, pizza and cheese eating folks maybe a few awesome whole food plant based minimally processed and prepared and mix entrees? An example one of the best Vegan Restaurants in the country is Vedge in Philadelphia. https://www.vedgerestaurant.com/dinner they just make GREAT food, hugely successful and not crazy expensive? So with that I wanted to say in closing - this was NOT an inexpensive meal either? With just 1 truly alcoholic beverage, and our flat water request turned into a bottle of Saratoga somehow? we cleared the cash register w/gratuity over $160 for two? We will probably give it another go, but be very selective and ask a lot of questions before we order.
