I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but after getting the keys to our brand new home, I accidentally threw away the keys to our mailbox the very next day! The day after I realized what I had done, I called Hamilton's and made an appointment for them to meet me at the new house and rekey our mailbox lock after work. Ryan showed up right on time, and was able to pick the lock in no time. Unfortunately, he ended up having to change out the entire lock and it wasn't as easy as anticipated. The lock wouldn't budge and he had to saw it out. He even shaved our mailbox door down after noticing it was closing flush. There was never a huff or puff after unexpected things kept popping up. He was very friendly and professional, and priced well. I will definitely be calling Hamilton's again, next time I need a locksmith! read more

Had a couple of remote keys w/ transponders duplicated and the service was top-notch. Talked to Ryan and he happened to be in the area so I met him at his next client's house. He cut my keys w/ the precision of a miniature sculptor in his little workshop on wheels and even hand filed them afterwards because he wasn't happy w/ the lack of smoothness when key was turned, perfectionism! Next, the transponders needed to be programmed and that took all of 3 minutes for both keys. I attained the keys from EBay and w/ Hamilton's reasonable prices, a total of 15 minutes of my time, it made for a great Father's Day present for Pops. read more

The level of service with this team is incredible. Ryan has been a real professional with the issue that I had him fix. Essentially, the housing on my ignition was busted and needed to be replaced. The dealership wanted over $1000; Ryan was able to do it for far less. Had an appointment at 9 a.m. In the morning at the shop in Torrance. Nobody showed up called the number on the front of the door of the shop. Said they were running late, though it sounded like he was just waking up from bed. Frustrating when you make an appointment and drive to their shop and they don't show up. I felt lied to and I doubt very much that they were running late at 9 a.m. in the morning. Went somewhere else to get the job done and I won't be back to Hamilton's lock and key. read more

I was referred to Ryan by Old Town Lock and Key who is itself a great locksmith. Ryan is pretty popular, but the wait was worth it. He duplicated a Mercedes ML 320 key that mercedes I longer carries. The price was $175. Lazari wanted $595. And another locksmith wanted $395 to program a key (can be bought on eBay for $70). He mostly works out if his truck and is very friendly. read more

I had Hamilton 24/7 Locksmith come out on a Sunday at 6pm and he did a great job! He said he would be at my house in 30 minutes, I am pretty sure it was more like 20minutes. He was professional, and our locks work great! Saved us a lot of stress in trying to make the lock set work. Affordable too. This was a terrible experience dealing with this particular lock smith, first of all he broke my steering column while attempting to remove my ignition. The guy didn't even know how to put it back together,when he was finally done I asked for a discount because of the poor job he did and he agreed. When he left I tried to turn the steering wheel and it wouldn't turn at all, I called my mechanic the next day and he fixed it after replacing all the internal parts Hamilton's broke. I gave the locksmith a call and requested a full refund and the lock smith Ryan agreed but I haven't been able to get the refund because Ryan constantly dodge's me and ignores my call which is why I'm posting this review. $150.00 to open the must common lock and by the way they don't tell you that on the phone, just when the are already here, which at that point either way you are already down $65 dollars. I know locking myself out is my problem and definitely learned the lesson. Hope never have to call this guys again. read more

I needed an front entry door complete hand set and a double dead bolt lock installed on a late Saturday afternoon. I did Not know if a locksmith would do all the work. I called Hamilton as they were on call 24/7. To my surprise they could come out right away and do the work. Eric arrived in 30 minutes and even did a courtesy call first. Hello Fellow yelpers! I have used Hamilton's locksmith twice, both times I was extremely satisfied. He was fast, efficient, got the job done, and his price was the best anywhere in the South bay! He had all the tools to get the job done. Once the job was complete he walked me through all the work, he even did work that was not included in the estimate, he stayed until the job was complete and I felt safe. I have never seen a locksmith that truly is always available (24/7), he responded within minutes and was very accommodating to fit my schedule. I called Hamilton lock & key about reprogramming my car key to my Nissan Versa Ryan was very friendly and professional and got to the bottom of my problem after some expert research. You're locked out of your house? Highly recommend their service. I called them to see if they can pick the lock at my house. Background: Two weeks prior, I was locked out of my house and had called a locksmith to pick the lock. The price was absolutely ridiculous ($200 total!) and they ended up drilling a hole to knock the pins out (and took a significant amount of time). We had not yet replaced the lock since our dead bolt still worked. Today, the lock on the doorknob got locked again. I called a few locksmiths as an attempt to locate the previous locksmith so that I could ask him to back up what he had done and unlock the door for no charge. I couldn't remember the name of the locksmith and ended up talking to 2 companies that were no help until I reached Hamilton's. Ryan picked up the phone and his professionalism was immediately recognized. I explained what happened and he was very solution-oriented. Within 15 minutes, he was at my door and provided his assessment of the situation. We realized that not only was I way overcharged with the previous locksmith, but the job was left shoddy and apparently problematic, as I was in this predicament again. To our benefit, we jigged the lock with our key as a last attempt right before Ryan was about to use his tool - and opened the door. Although Ryan didn't get to perform the service for us, we knew we could rely on his knowledge, his professionalism and promptness.
