I had a very disappointing experience at this dealership. After walking around the lobby for some time, I was finally approached by Victor. I explained what I was interested in and asked to test drive a car. When I mentioned the vehicle I was interested in, he told me the price and that it was a stick shift, asking if I could drive one. After confirming I could, he asked me again which car I was interested in, which felt a bit odd. When I asked to test drive the car, he said we first needed to settle on a price, which didn't make sense to me since I wanted to see if the car was a good fit before discussing numbers. It was freezing outside (33 degrees), so I asked if we could go inside. Once inside, he asked for my phone number and driver's license, which he said was needed to test drive the car. I confirmed I was indeed testing it, but it felt like he was reluctant to actually let me drive it. The whole process felt uncomfortable, and I felt like I wasn't being welcomed or valued as a customer.‼ To make things worse, I witnessed a man using the women's restroom with the stall door wide open, which was a major red flag. I had a terrible experience shopping for a used car for my daughter. Hamilton Honda uses unscrupulous business practices that you should be aware of. They advertise a low price on their vehicles to pull you in the door, and then pad the pricing with frivolous up charges that are pure profit for them. This includes a $1000 Document Fee which is the highest I've ever encountered, and provides absolutely nothing for the buyer. I felt lied to, and believe that their business practices are underhanded. I'd much rather do business with a dealer that is honest and forthcoming about pricing. BUYER BEWARE... Dropped my car off at Hamilton Honda (Mercer County NJ) this morning at 7:00AM using the drop-off box. It was a scheduled appointment to have 2 recalls taken car off. I went to pick up my car at 3:30PM, only to find that they never checked the drop box and did not complete the work. First they tried to tell me that they only check the drop-off box at night. Then they told me that they must have checked it at 6:30AM before it dropped it off (they open at 9:00AM). Then they told me that a truck driver dropped off some keys and they must have been covering my envelope. THEN they told me that there was no hurry to take care of these recalls and they could do it the next time I come in for service (in six months). You know what they NEVER ONCE TOLD ME? Came back in for another problem with the AC. This time there is a recall for 2017 Civic so inspection and repair is at no cost. I reset my expectations from my last experience -- anticipate a wait. If you try to make an appointment online it is booking out into September. The complimentary inspection is available until August 21 so you have to get in before then. Called in and was able to get an appointment a week out. Scheduled for a drop off which means they have all day to complete. They offer a complimentary shuttle service of up to 20 miles. Longer distances may offer only one way. They laid off a lot of the drivers so they are down to one driver. Which means if he's out, you're waiting in the dealership. There is seating and a cafe where you can get coffee, bagels, and other snacks. My car needed repairs done for the AC unit which meant it wasn't ready until the following day. Make arrangements for a ride as shuttle service wasn't available on weekend. They've recently implemented a service offering a video taken by a technician walking you through what repairs were being done, which is a really nice touch. read more

I have purchased two vehicles from Hamilton Honda and had a very good sales experience. The service department is something entirely different. Please pay attention if you get your vehicle serviced there, as I was just scammed out of close to $500 for several services I never requested. They had a record of what I requested which was a tire rotation, oil change, and to repair yet another recall, two actually. My daughter dropped off the car for me and signed the work order. The tech never highlighted that there was over $400 of additional unrequested work, so she signed. Since they offer oil changes for free when you purchase a vehicle, they need to make up the lost revenue somehow, and scamming people is one way to do it, I guess. When I asked about it and said that they had proof of what I requested, the "Manager" basically laughed at me with an "I don't have a single f**k to give" look and said well, you signed. So beware of the disgusting scam artists running the service department, as you WILL be scammed at some point. I will continue to get my oil changes there only because they are free, and I will try to make every encounter difficult for the Manager. It must be a pretty nice $$ making operation. Do not take your car to Hamilton Honda for maintenance. An absolute nightmare of a customer service experience in addition to being ripped off. The Warning Light went on stating 'All Wheel Drive System Problem.' Honda claimed that some debris hit the differential and broke the sensor cover. I was quoted approximately $680 from Christopher Alfini in the Service Department. I brought the car in for a 9:30 appointment on a Tuesday. I heard nothing all day so I followed up with multiple messages including voicemails and their online site. No return calls. I finally got through to Chris later that afternoon and was told that the part (singular) was not available and was ordered to be sent overnight. On Wednesday, I heard nothing about the car status. I followed up with multiple messages once again and received no return phone call. Later that afternoon, I got someone that transferred me to the automated system and waited 30 minutes. I finally got someone live who tells me he'll call back in 10 minutes. I waited 75 minutes and no call back. I finally got through only to be informed by Chris another piece needed to be ordered and sent overnight for Thursday. Finally, the car is done on Thursday and I had to pay $789 ($100 more than quoted). There was a $50 disposable fee (that couldn't be explained) and was admittedly overcharged by Michael Perri by $30. He told me he made a mistake. He gave me credit toward my next appointment. I wanted the $30 refunded to my card. During this time there was no offer for a loaner car, no credit or any discount for my inconvenience. The Hamilton Honda Service Center sucks. The worst car experience in my life. Unless reparations are made, I will not lease, buy or maintain any of my vehicles there. I can't wait to go on other social media and tell my friends to stay away from Hamilton Honda. One of the best reason to buy cars at Hamilton Honda is the service department. The customer service is always friendly and efficient, even for a very busy dealership. Nicole and Craig do a great job of taking care of their customers. People often complain about the price of having service work done at the dealership, but the trade off of efficiency, knowledge, and customer service is worth it. I have never had a repair uncompleted or a part go bad from work at this dealership. A recent experience backs me up. My headlight had gone out, so I called to find out whether or not I needed to make an appointment or could be serviced via express. Nicole told me to bring the vehicle right in, and I did not even have to go through express - Craig removed the bulb, had parts bring out the new one, and he installed it himself in five minutes. However, their Service Center has been consistently a total rip-off ever since I've brought my cars for scheduled maintenance. ~70 US to change an A/C cabin filter, ~270 US to change ONLY 2 brake pads (oh, + a 20 US hidden "service charge for brakes") , ~60+ US to change wipers, and the list goes on. Yes, the "free" oil change and automated car wash is enticing but at a very high cost in the long term. You may buy your car there if it makes sense, but take it anywhere else for any maintenance besides oil changes. Every time they inform you something needs to be done with your car, don't proceed and compare pricing first. There are multiple places that deal exclusively with brakes, tires (rotation, balancing, acquisition), accessories (you can buy even from Amazon.com and do it yourself most of the time), etc. where you'll get a better deal and won't feel violated. I'll admit, it does seem like they try to get you to purchase more repairs than you actually need, which is why I have then 4 stars. I ended up get a headlight bulb replacement, because I had forgotten that my headlight actually DID burn out and I had been driving with it out for the past few months. I also got a new battery, because apparently it failed the performance test and it was recommended that I replace it for the past couple of years. (My car is 7 years old and was on its original battery.) Also, our was on sale, so why not at that point? Anyway, really nice waiting room with flat screen tv's, computers, and cafe. On Tuesday, October 29th I arrived at Hamilton Honda for 3 things. Oil change, alignment and tire rotation. I received a call at one point and was told that I needed two new tires and that they are not going to do the alignment unless new tires are purchased. I was told that it was a waste of money to align the tires and that I should put the money towards new tires. I disagreed. I left with an oil change and tire rotation but no alignment. Well, my car is running far worse than before I dropped it off. The sound in the front is worse than before. I'm concerned that the tech, listed as !. Torres made some sort of error causing the situation to be worse. I called Hamilton Honda last night to voice my displeasure and left a voicemail. I also sent an email. To this moment, nearly 24 hours later, I still have not received a call or email from them. They were so concerned with my safety that they called me twice to sell me new tires. I guess once I said no and pursued tires elsewhere, they didn't care about my safety any more. Additionally, they had me sign where it said I denied the replacement tires even though the current pair of tires is not safe. Are they trying to shame the customer for seeking other options? I'm going to another shop tomorrow and will review the matter with them. If I find that, after going to Hamilton Honda for service, that the car was left in a less safe position that before I arrived, then I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and maybe even contact a lawyer. If you have to get your Honda serviced there is no better place than Hamilton Honda. Aside from the excellent service, the amenities offered are out of the ordinary. There are 2 large flat screens surrounded with comfortable leather cube seats. Magazines and newspapers; snack shop that offers breakfast foods and free coffee; several computers to access the internet; and even a gift shop of course Honda logo items. Also ask for the free car wash with your service. I've had minor items done to the car (oil changes, transmission fluid change, tire rotation, etc). The jobs were done well. Some places say they check the battery, tires and adjust tire pressure, well these guys actually do it and print out a report. This place makes you want to buy a Honda just so when you bring your car in for service you come here rather than some dingy shop. read more

I bought a Honda CRV from Hamilton Honda in 2010 and have been, for the most part, pleased with their service. I've never waited less than two hours for an oil change, but that's to be expected with the number of cars they service daily. I've always been presented with deals at the register, and given promotional offers even if I didn't have a piece of paper for it. Two years ago, I went to Honda in order to have my wiper inserts replaced. My husband had replaced them previously with after market blades, and in order for Honda to replace them for their fabulous price next time, I needed to pay $70 to get the Honda blades put back on. I figured it would be cheaper in the long run. I just left the service office after getting an oil change and asking for new blade inserts, only to be told that I had just one Honda blade, the other was still after market. And they couldn't do anything but charge me for a new Honda blade for the other wiper, or not replace the blade at all. Their records show that the blades (plural) had been replaced, but even though I am the only driver of my car, I could be lying and have had someone else replace a blade with an aftermarket. Nothing could be done, so I had to pay ~$40 for a new blade, after paying $70 for two new ones just two years ago. I understand their predicament, because people can be skeevy and try to take advantage of something like this, but as a loyal customer for the last 8 years, it was frustrating that nothing could be done. My husband and I were thinking about getting our new car from Honda to keep our business at one place, but I'm not sure about that anymore. read more

So I wont give them 5 stars because 2 of the 3 or 4 times I have been for service I have had to wait longer than I would like in the "Express Lane" but that's also my fault for going at busy times. I will admit though other local Honda dealers seem faster on service. Overall, this dealership gets 4 stars. Its a BEAUTIFUL place but that's not why you buy a car. The price they gave me was generally inline with what we could get at other places. I may have paid about $200-$300 more for the car but given the free oil changes and the convenience of this being the "local dealership" for me it was worth the slight extra and not having to keep haggling. They weren't pushy or flooded me with multiple managers telling me why to buy there, etc. but it may also be because I told them if they bring anyone else over I walk out. Hahahaha. Service and convenience is great. Love the waiting area for services. This dealership is very nice overall and the model example in my opinion. But within the last few years when I have taken it in for service they always seem to find something wrong and try to hard sell me on expensive repairs. Since I never bring my husband it seems like they think I am an idiot and will believe everything they tell me. I brought my car in this morning to get my sliding door repaired since it stopped working and they tell me I will also need a multi point inspection at an additional cost. I told him I had it done two weeks ago and I only want the door fixed. I then get the response it will take a few hours because they have to remove the door. When I had the other sliding door fixed for the same problem it took less than an hour! I understand the dealership wants to make money but I do not like the way I am treated when I bring my car in. Confirmed appointment two days ago that I was coming in to have brake light bulb replaced. Arrived today from 40 min away and told it would take 20 min. An hour later I finally went and asked what was taking so long. I was told, "Oh yeah, we didn't have the part." First, HOW DOES A HONDA SERVICE DEPT NOT HAVE A BULB???!!! Second, they specifically asked make and model and reason for visit when I made appointment, so shouldn't they make sure the "part" aka bulb was there? I purchased a new Accord here in 2015. That experience was okay. My overall experience with this dealer is that they are no more slimy than a typical auto dealer. Hamilton Honda is probably a little better than average. I recently took my car in for a warranty issue--a door rattle. The warranty was about to expire, and I wanted the problem treated while the car was under warranty. The service department reported that the door was missing a couple of fasteners--and that this issue is not normally covered under warranty, but they did me a favor by fixing it anyway. To quote my kids, "WTF?" I have never disassembled the door, nor has the local shop that services my car. The only work on the car has been oil changes, air filter changes, and one new tire. I suppose my sin was that I bought a new Honda and expected it to be covered under warranty. The dealer also told me I needed to replace a tire. The service manager verbally identified the wrong wheel, though the paperwork did identify the correct wheel. I replaced the tire at my local shop, not the dealer. Here is my take-away: Honda (the company) and Hamilton Honda never get the details right. The door rattle issue was related to the manufacture, not the use of the car. When the car was originally delivered, it had a couple of annoying problems, such as the tire pressure was off; the TPG light turned on a day after I took delivery. There has been one recall as well. In terms of reliability and durability the jury is still out on my 2015 Accord. My previous Accord (1986) was a disaster. In the interim I have bought Toyota Camrys, which were good cars. I switched back to the Accord because the current Camry is as ugly as sin. read more

This used to be a great dealership and service center. When it first opened we brought my wife's Accord here to get serviced. The Sunday Express service was appealing and the service was great. We were always told what needed to be fixed and what we should keep an eye on. We were never told it needed anything it didn't. When the car started to age my wife replaced her Accord with a new CRV purchased from this dealership. The purchase was quick, easy with no price haggling. We continued to get her new car serviced there. However within the last year things started to go south. Labor Day weekend at 90,000 miles we brought it in for service as it had started to make a noise when accelerating. We received a call later in the day with a status of what was wrong with it and what would have to be replaced. We were told that the estimate was $1,600 to fix it and that the part needed wasn't in stock and that they would get it in the following day. The following day they called with an update that they discovered another issue but said it wasn't urgent to fix but that it would be another $1,000 to fix that issue. When we picked up the car it was like nothing was fixed as it was making the same noise. Needless to say we wasn't happy. Two weeks later she bought a new car (not from this dealership) replacing the CRV. We would not recommend returning to this dealership for service until they get back to the business practices they used to have. read more

Express Service was open for one hour and twenty six minutes and already an four hour wait for express service. Waved the the service review just get out sooner. Their service department is running scam and/or rip-off schemes. And car becomes worst to drive after service. A simple walkin into express can turn into $$$$$ rip-off. read more
