Otherwise no issues and the nurse staff are all friend and caring. I've had no issues with getting my IV inserted. They will usually put it in your hand which I like so you can move your arm freely. When you wake up from a procedure they will give you either graham crackers or Lorna Doone shortbread cookies and apple juice or water, your choice.

It gets even worse im on 3mg of medication a day and this random dr vida lynn sends in my refill but sends half my dose which means I will be out of my medication again 2 weeks early and will be going through withdrawals again which causes me to have seizures!! She is so much more friendly and really takes the time to explain procedures and treatments. I actually look forward to our appointments- she's just a breath of fresh air compared to most doctors. Most importantly, her treatments WORK! I won't get into the details of what I was there for, but after years of simple prescriptions from other doctors without results, she was able to fix everything in just three visits. I also never had any of the appointment issues that others had- if I had a 3:45 appointment, I showed up at 3:40 and was called by 3:45. I very much recommend this office and more specifically, this doctor.

Little can be done to make the preparation and actual event more palatable, but at least it can be simplified and made more humane with understanding of the emotional aspects of the test, and the physical challenges associated with drinking copious amounts of vile tasting fluids, a mandatory clear liquid diet for 36 hours before the operation, and the totally unpleasant process of emptying the lower gastrointestinal tract. Ugh! Gastroenterology Group at St. Mary Medical Center does it as well as possible. They invite you to their office weeks in advance to review the process in detail. Many pages of easy to understand instructions are provided. They record insurance information, and even offer samples of the preparation meds if the patient lacks coverage for this cost. On the designated day, when the effect of starvation and voiding is at max effect, their staff is courteous and compassionate in getting the patient ready for general anesthesia and the procedure itself. Everyone was skilled, patient and trained in low key interaction. From getting into those damn surgical gowns, to setting the intravenous lines in the arm, to nestling the pillow comfortably under the head/neck as you fall asleep, to the gentle wake up back in your personal space with juice and crackers, the flow is smooth and relaxed. That Dr. Barash advised I would likely have to return in five years for another scope almost seemed an afterthought.

There is big wall of Nurses that will never let you access doctor. And Dr Robert Meirowitz will never call you. Is that called patient care? One this is there during off hours or weekend you can reach on call doctor but when office is open they ensure you can't access any doctor and doctors don't care either. They will make you do colonoscopy and endoscopy they will also not collect samples for biopsy. Basically taking money from you as much as they can. Never go there!

He had since moved to the hospital in a special role and Dr. James Bancroft took his place. He's been great. Very much like the Dr.s I'd remembered from growing up. Takes the time to listen and prefers holistic approaches as opposed to only prescribing medicine. He's had great referrals to other specialists. They also have a very quick turnaround time on blood work. Lauren has done a great job drawing blood from my "hard to find" veins. This is a small office and the staff is friendly and helpful. They take most insurance plans.
