I called and they took my information and said they would "call back" if he wants to see you. I've never heard of not being able to make an appt until the receptionist ran it by the dr?? Then after a day I get a call back saying the dr won't see anyone that doesn't have a family doctor. I explained to the ignorant and rude receptionist NOELLE that I just moved here and that I can give you mine from back home. Then in a very hostile manner, she argues back with me saying "you said you didn't have a family doctor". Then she said oh well I'll talk to the Dr and call you back. I had a colonoscopy that was canceled when I arrived after doing all the preparation required. The reason given for the cancellation was that the anesthesiologist would not put me under because I told them during all of my prescreening that I was allergic to eggs, which is an ingredient of propofol. When I initially made the appointment, the receptionist said the last time I was there was in 2017; today, when they canceled, she claimed my previous appointment was in 2013. Either way, the procedure was done, and it was done without a propopal. When I initially made the appointment, I did advise them of the egg allergy. Last Friday, I called the office three times and left a message to confirm my appointment and ask a question about the unclear preparatory instructions I had received. As the assistant said, I received three voicemails, none of which canceled my procedure. The staff, a receptionist, and an anesthetist assistant insulted and blamed me because they said a message had to be left--which I have proof was not. Imagine going through the preparation and being lied to about why they canceled. I was distraught and made sure they knew I was. The excuse can be made that they were being cautious; however, I have been through other surgeries, and in all cases, when they were made aware of my allergy, another drug was used. The office is poorly run and understaffed, and I strongly suggest you not use them or cancel if you have a procedure scheduled. And yes, I formally complain to any PA Medical Boards available and willing to listen. l. "Dr. Lim was so cool, I sort of wish we were friends (instead of him being just some guy who stared up into my abyss). & there's none of the conversational awkwardness you get from most doctors (who tend to be bad at speaking to actual people)". When you have the full examination under anesthesia, Dr. Lim's office will also mail you a stack of color photo print outs of your insides with accompanying notes so you don't have to rely on vague descriptions of what is/ isn't abnormal up in there. I brought those to the specialist he referred me to; that person said it was helpful to have clear color photos for a change. After the surgery I wound up needing, that other specialist said my whole family should also get checked, so I convinced my sister to see Dr. Lim. She loved the guy, everything about the system & the procedure they have there (everything except for the actual butt examination, I assume) and she still mentions how much she liked him.
