Then is a surprise as is not that small as one would think. I did not see an sign identifying the store, the way I found this place is because I was craving assortment of olives marinated in different ways and especially the Middle Eastern ways and did a search for that and found that the Unique International Market had already one review...well, now it has 2! I found tons of cool products, like the sugar infused with saffron that I have not had for long time. Got a variety of very thin high quality rice similar to Basmati but not the same (tastes so good and earthy). Of course I found olives galore. Mostly canned/glass products, not a place to find vegetables or fruits. Interesting for any foodie around.

I paid $100 in cash and I received $5.63 back. I checked the receipt as I was walking out. The receipt showed change back of $7.63. I was shorted $2. I went right back inside and presented my receipt and the change back. The employee apologized and gave me back $2. I should mention that they were not super busy at all. 2 star is for not trusting the check out process. I will go back there again for shopping with full attention to scanning and checking the receipt. The management needs to work on gaining the public trust back. I reversed the review to 5stars for timely response from the business.

I do love that they have all of your Japanese needs like microwaveable food, vegetables, meat, seafood, snacks, and so much more. Their food court area is amazing. You can get your ramen, curry, matcha, etc after shopping . Many people come here to eat without grocery shopping. The seasonal section is wonderful. You can get what's in season in Japan and sometimes it's by region! There is a Japanese bookstore inside in addition to a makeup/skin care store. There's even a toy store with a TCG section. My goodness, they are expensive! My kid loves the strawberry sandwiches, and the drinks are pretty good too. The store itself is nothing fancy. Right next door, there is a Japanese bookstore and stationery store, a food court, and lots of gashapon capsule toy machines. There is plenty to browse around even after you finish grocery shopping.

It's been quite some time since I visited Hankook. I've always been impressed by their cooking…read morelineup. And as usual, their collection was extensive and comprehensive. They had the usual array of nonstick pots, which don't work very well for me. They had a small but useful section for clay pots. I thought Amazon and AliExpress had overpriced clay pots, but I was wrong. These prices were significantly higher. I can only hope these are the best of the best. Checking up on 99 Ranch, I couldn't even find clay pots in there more limited kitchen utensil section. I ran across one item where knockoffs are ubiquitous. They've completely flooded AliExpress and you have to watch it with Amazon. Hankook had the authentic item and at significantly lower price than both Amazon and Aldi express. I found a tea section to be well stocked. I also recognize some of the tea brands. 99 Ranch has gone with lower cost options, but if you buy 6 ounces of tea, are you gonna be stuck with an enormous supply. Better to go with reliable brands that I have enjoyed in the past. I loved the produce section. It was nice and fresh. It also had wider selection of produce than other supermarkets. The store itself is stunning. The the aisles are spacious. The store is meticulously clean. The shelves are fully stocked. There were only about two items which were shopped out. The snack area and the frozen foods were even more interesting. It's obvious in those two sections that there were many more Korean brands. I should've tried some, but it's hard for me to resist snacks and there was a good chance that would finish the entire bag in one go. Better to skip it entirely. The parking lot for the supermarket is spacious. I had no trouble finding a spot even though I arrived in the late afternoon when everybody has gotten off work. I live about two hours away. And I am very jealous because there is no Hankook near me.

We have purchased a wok from here, twice, and they were reasonably priced (around $35 if I recall), and we got a spare lid for a reasonable price as well. They also have a lot of prepared foods, snack foods, etc. Everything is reasonably priced. They do have a large enough parking lot, and usually we park on the side to avoid the chaos.

Mega is clearly far and away the best Asian market in the Bay area... having said that, I do have…read moresome complaints but will give it the 5 stars it deserves. Let's start with the good, or I should say best. The sashimi here is the best of any Asian market bar none. You could even say better than some Sushi restaurants (I won't name them). Even some of the newer Asian markets like T&T have disgusting sashimi... to the point you can taste the ice bc they hadn't fully defrosted it. The only nit I have is bruh... stop putting the frickin plastic sauce packets right on top of the fish. Why? Why would you do that? Stop it. Come on. Why in the actual F would you do that? Ok, I know this sounds more like complaints but I do really like Mega Mart to be clear. 2 other issues: #1. Dude... what're you guys doing with the panchan? When did you start adding so much sugar and sugaring the F out of the panchan. This is not how it should be. Old Korean grandmas are literally turning in their graves with this sacrilege. Maybe panchan sales are falling, but you can be damn sure I will never buy this again with the amount of sugar you guys add. Like why? Why 50% sugar... seriously, this panchan candy bar nonsense makes no sense! #2. What happened to organic natto? Like bruh. You only had 1 brand left that was organic. Sure I could go to Nijiya and have a choice of 2, but I'm disappointed you guys stopped carrying the only organic natto you had.

I was excited to see that they now have a "Vegan Vegetable Mandu" offering in the hot food section. I had to grab both options to test them out : Unlimeat Kimchi Mandoo and Unlimeat Vegetable Mandoo. Each package has 8 pieces and a packet of shoyu. After trying both, the kimchi version won me over a bit more. The other option is lighter in flavor, and I'm a fan of bold and spicy food. Adding the shoyu helps, but I could easily eat all the kimchi ones alone. I'm not sure I'd get them often, but I like having an option in the grab and go section for when I'm short on time and hungry. They also added some Pulmone vegan-friendly microwave dumplings to the frozen section, so I got those too. I noticed some plant-based bulgogi kimbap in the frozen section, but I decided to skip them because I'm iffy about the textures of frozen kimbap. I love when grocery stores have vegan-friendly options! I hope this means they'll start adding more vegan-friendly options in the grab and go hot food section. A tofu and veggie rice bowl would be nice!

Everything is made fresh to order, and you can really taste the quality in every dish. I especially loved the grilled meats -- they had that perfect smoky char flavor straight from the grill. The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the different dishes and the best way to enjoy them. Beef, Kofta & Chicken: Super flavorful and packed with spices, with an amazing grilled/charred flavor. I loved being able to build my own wrap with all the different veggies and sauces! Hawawshi Traditional (Egyptian Meat Pie): Similar to arayes, but even more flavorful and juicy. It comes generously stuffed, and the arugula paired perfectly with it. Chicken Breast Bowl: OMG, the fries were so good! The chicken and fries combo worked perfectly together. The chicken had subtle hints of lime and was served over a creamy mayo-style sauce that tied everything together. Salad: Light, refreshing, and topped with onions, pickled veggies, fruit, and vinaigrette. Overall, it's such a fun and casual place to hang out. There's an outdoor patio with self-serve tea and water, and I loved the cozy lights and tent setup. I'll definitely be back!

The quality of the food was excellent, especially considering how reasonably priced everything was. Ridhi was fantastic to work with and made the entire coordination process leading up to the event incredibly easy. I actually reached out only four days before the party, and despite the tight timeline, everything was handled seamlessly. We ordered spring rolls (which were absolutely delicious and perfectly crunchy), veg puffs, gobi manchurian, veg noodles, chana masala, puris, and paneer butter masala. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and carefully packed. We had the food delivered via Uber Courier, and the process went smoothly. Since this was a toddler's birthday party, we requested minimal spice levels, and they accommodated our request perfectly. Both kids and adults thoroughly enjoyed the food. I highly recommend them for catering and will definitely order from them again for future events!
