The place is dirty, looks unorganized , dark, gloomy, it just had a negative vibe from the minute the doors were open to look inside. I was being toured the room where my daughter would be - it was outdated - looked like it was an old thrift store - no thought or love or care put into the facilities but whatever .. but then it got real bad when I was toured in the cafeteria . the lights were turned off , they had some weird meditation music , and 5 watchers standing around awkwardly like prison guards. The group of children sat there looking miserable and scared . One child sat there crying at the top of his lungs and NO ONE - not even the director (who stopped her conversation with me to let me know it was his first day ) ever acknowledged the child or nurtured him . He continued to cry and the director kept speaking and the 5 prison guards just stood there with blank faces - and at that point I wanted to go to the child and just hold him and my mind just couldn't focus on anything that lady was saying to me anymore - at that point the child made a run for the door and one of the prison guards ran quickly to grab him . That dude grabbed the child like a rag doll by his arms and plopped the baby back in the chair - again never talking to the child or acknowledging that the baby was clearly scared and highly upset. I saw enough and just told blurted - "yeah I'm going to leave I can't - so no one is going to nurture the child or hold him or anything ? This is definti not the place for me". If your baby started Little Tykes today Thursday Dec. 14, 2023 - he had a traumatic day. Figure out a way to borrow money if you need to and find a better place to leave your children. This has me sick to my stomach all day. That was with a prospect around - imagine when they are alone with these people !!!!!

We have had both or our daughters at Primrose of Prestonwood for years now. The oldest has moved on…read moreto the RISD school system but still comes back during breaks. Our youngest is 3 and has been there since she was old enough to enter daycare. The staff has always been exceptional. I have volunteered when they take the kids to the North Texas Food Bank each year so I've seen how they deal with the kids in and out of the facility. I would not hesitate to leave my child in their care, especially when you realize what some of the other options are out there. This is by far the best run, cleanest and friendly daycare we have used. We lived near downtown before moving north and had a good experience with our previous daycare but Primrose is so much more advanced in their curriculum and have many more activities than our older daughter ever experienced at her previous daycare.

During our initial visits, we felt that some of the staff were not very welcoming or approachable when we had questions. There were also times when my daughter tried to speak with the director and felt it was difficult to get in touch with her. My daughter is very involved in my grandson's care. She likes to walk him to his classroom and speak with his teacher at pickup to hear about his day. We were surprised to learn that parents were not permitted to walk their children into the classroom. Instead, children were expected to be dropped off at the door. While I understand every daycare has its own policies, this approach was not what our family was comfortable with. Throughout our experience, we also felt that interactions with the staff lacked the warmth and communication we were hoping for. It seemed more like they were completing a job than building relationships with the children and their families. In our opinion, the daycare appeared to place significant emphasis on its image and social media presence, while we would have preferred to see more focus on parent communication and the children's individual needs. My grandson experienced a behavioral incident that was very unusual for him. Around that time, his regular teacher had left and been replaced, which was a significant change in his routine. We cannot say for certain that this caused the incident, but we believe it may have contributed. Rather than working with our family to better understand what happened or discussing possible solutions, the daycare decided to terminate his enrollment after this incident. During his time there, my daughter often received calls about behavioral concerns, but she rarely heard about the positive parts of his day. As a parent, receiving multiple calls during the workweek made it difficult not to worry. Yet when we asked how he was doing at pickup, we were often told he had a good day and was adjusting well. Because of that, the decision to say he was "not a good fit" after a single serious incident came as a surprise to our family. This review reflects our personal experience. Every family's experience may be different, but I encourage parents to visit, ask questions about communication policies, classroom access, behavior management, and how the daycare partners with families before making a decision. A beautiful facility is important, but the quality of the relationships between staff, children and parents is just as important.

Still, after just one day, they abruptly terminated care--no notice, no effort to collaborate, and no response to her therapy team's outreach. They later claimed it was a "trial," though that was never mentioned in writing or verbally beforehand. The sudden dismissal caused confusion and regression for my daughter. It was emotionally damaging, and we were left without support. This experience was heartbreaking. Every child deserves compassion and a chance to succeed--especially those with special needs. I'm sharing this so other parents don't experience what we did.

My son came home with a deep cut on his finger and busted lip and no one could explain what happened. They offered to change his class which I did but never felt comfortable because the new classroom was not Visible from the outside as the first one was. I've witnessed caregivers being very rough with the children , including my own , when she was changing his diaper and didn't realize I was standing outside the window , she throw up down very aggressively and changed his diaper rough. I convinced myself I was being paranoid because he's my "baby" but i wasn't. As mothers we have intuition and we have to trust it. Mother to mother, find another daycare, there's tons of other options within miles. I will also try to upload the photo of my sons injuries and the email I sent addressing this matter.

Since the Centre is in the SW Medical complex, they cater to the babies of those employees but non-employees can bring their little ones here too. My two year old has only gone for a day but she absolutely loves it! I'll update later... Update: It's now 5 months since my initial post and I'm just so grateful for this place. I love that parents have to go through 3 passcode protected places to get into the facility: once to get into the parking garage if you go that route, once on the external door of the daycare, and once more after you've checked your little ones in with your fingerprint. Other daycares make you wait upfront and they go get your kid....not a fan. I like the built in accountability that places on staff. If a parent can walk in at any moment, staff really have to be fully aware of every action taken and word spoken. I have an infant and a preschooler who both love it. There are set schedules for each class and my infant has gotten super strong from all the tummy time she gets. She loves being around the other babies and they grin and giggle when they get to bounce up and down on their bouncers together. The staff are wonderful and I haven't seen any turnover. Parents of infants, take note, there's pretty much always a waiting list. I've talked to several moms who put their little ones on the waiting list while they were still pregnant...but you might get lucky.

This raises serious hygiene concerns that should not be overlooked in a childcare setting. I have also experienced situations where parents were not always given full transparency regarding their child's needs or daily care. As someone who works directly with the children, it can be frustrating and disheartening to see communication gaps between administration and families. The children deserve consistency, proper organization, and honest communication. I hope leadership takes steps to improve systems, sanitation practices, and parent transparency moving forward.

The program offers music class where the children are introduced to Spanish and a yoga class so they can improve flexibility and balance. I've been so impressed with how much she has learned and retained from the classes she has attended. This has been the best investment for us to prepare her to excel once she begins elementary school. The school's hours are from 9-2 but early and late care is available. Class sizes are small and there are ALWAYS two teachers in the classroom. I highly recommend this program.

This is one of my first experiences using a daycare facility because we often use family. I had to use this daycare facility out of necessity for my child. My child is pre-k age and is/was potty training and the facility did not properly assist my child in keeping themselves clean or on track with potty training. My child came home with poop streaks, and poor bathroom hygiene from not wiping properly almost daily. My child came home with no pants, no shoes (they lost them and could not find them until the next day), covered in pen ink and marker, a Missing backpack (they lost it and could not find it until the next day) on several occasions. It became increasingly apparent that the facility was not able to take care of children correctly. My child never came home with any notes or work that they had done, so I am only left to assume that no activities or curriculum was used at the facility for the pre-K age students. There was little to no communication with me regarding what was going on at the facility and when I was called it was only to tell me that there was an issue. My child was in this facility for only a few months and WE ARE NOT GOING BACK. The last straw for me was when my child was INJURED by a daycare worker causing the need for an EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT. To be clear this INJURY was caused by the caregiver based on the information I received from the doctor. This may not be everyone's experience, but it was mine and if I was a parent seeking a new daycare I would want to know what is going on at the facility. Please know that I do not normally write reviews of this nature, but felt like others needed to know our experience at this facility in order for them to make the best decisions for their own children and families. Please stay safe and my recommendation is to seek daycare anywhere, but at this facility. I hope the facility improves and works on training for the caregivers in the facility, but they have a long way to go as far as I am concerned.
