They are tumbling instructors and were able to help spot a couple of the girls in walk overs that they hadn't done in a while! Having the open gym for a few hours to play was so much fun! The girls left beaming and saying it was the best party they've been to! Highly recommended.

First, communication was incredibly difficult. I don't think they have anyone actually in charge of birthday parties because I sent several emails that they just never responded to, etc. Second, I paid to rent out the entire gym for 2 hours (plus a 30 minute setup). When I got there to set up, a cheer team was still there so their stuff was all over the tables in the party room, etc. That wasn't a huge deal, as they asked them to move it and they did. But then, my party time came and went and the ENTIRE CHEER TEAM was still in the gym with hot flat irons and makeup "getting ready for a competition" - this is the gym that I paid to exclusively rent out. And I had 25 four year olds running back and forth through a bunch of cheerleaders doing their hair with hot tools. It was dangerous, incredibly rude, and not what I paid for. The two young coaches running our party did their best, but I don't think they felt like they could make the cheer team move. So they stayed there for nearly half my party, even staying for about 15 minutes after I very expressly told them they were in a space that I rented and they needed to move. There are tons of dance studios with mirrors and other spaces besides the gym (that I paid for) where they could have done their hair and makeup, so this was not a situation where kicking them out would have left them with nowhere to go. Overall, it was just additional stress that was completely unnecessary. I thought that Rogue would call me to collect the rest of the money and that I could express these concerns to them then, but no one ever did - they just ran my card. And of course, true to form, when I tried to call, they didn't answer. So I am leaving this review in the hopes that they fix their birthday party organization and make it clear to their cheer teams that when someone has rented space for exclusive use, that means it's not a good place to do your hair and makeup (I think that's pretty obvious, but I guess cheer moms don't). Without the organizational issues, this would be an awesome place for birthday parties and we would love to go back! But with the issues, we won't be.

The people are all about just wanting you to understand what motivates you, what stops you, what scares you? They do it in a fun way. There is dream interpretation, goal setting, visualization and real conversations that get past all the bullshit. I took classes here when I lived in Dallas and I still have the literature that was given to me. I've moved from state to state and I still have them because I recognize the value. It raised my awareness gave me a greater understanding of what consciousness is, about living meditatively. I would definitely go back, I would definitely participate in there activities. I could never forget these great folks even if I tried. You can choose your level of commitment, if you want a short class or if you want something more extensive. This place is definitely worth it and they survive completely off donations. This is a not-for-profit 501c3 status organization, and that to me added a real feel of legitimacy because I didn't feel like they were just a bunch of kooks who wanted my money. They are just a bunch of kooks who really care about humanity. I know this may sound corny but if you got with open arms these people will embrace you and connect with you. My words are really not enough to truly explain. Thought is cause.

The first part of the course is in a classroom. The instructor had a slideshow that the class went over and then we took a quick multiple-choice test. Before we went to the riding range, the instructor let us know that he will have to "raise his voice" on the range to be heard over the motorcycle engines and asked if everyone was ok with that. I said that I was ok with that, along with the rest of the class. Of course, it is important that the instructor needs to be heard over the motorcycle engines on the range. However, when we get to the range, my experience of the course (more specifically, the instructor) is terrible and I cannot recommend. The instructor apparently thought that the BRC course was a military boot-camp. He was not raising his voice to be heard over the engines. The engines were NOT that loud. He was instead yelling at us for any and every single mistake I, and others, were making during the course. I should mention that there were only three people in this class. There wasn't that many students! As a first time rider, I was (obviously) a little nervous riding a motorcycle for the first time. *Being constantly yelled at for mistakes that new-riders make is not good for learning.* For example, we were doing a braking exercise. I went brought the motorcycle up to speed and then braked quickly, remaining calm, comfortable, and loose on the motorcycle. The instructor said I need to brake harder. The next time around *while I was in the middle of braking* the instructor was yelling at me from 5 feet away "*BRAKE! BRAKE! BRAKE!*". As a first-time motorcycle rider, I slammed on my brakes immediately! I didn't know what the instructor was panicking about but I was going to follow directions! Fortunately, I was not thrown from the bike. However, the instructor saw fit to then berate me on slamming on my brakes. I cannot recommend anyone take the BRC at Motorcycle Training Center until new instructors who can competently teach the course are brought in. I have taken the BRC at a different place with an instructor who is knowledgeable and patient with first-time riders. I learned a lot more from the other course and am riding with much more confidence.

He had…read morebeen diagnosed as ADHD and was struggling to adjust to the ever increasing expectations. His grades had gone from A's and B's in 2nd Grade to C's and D's and F's in Third. Robby's motivation was down. He was repeated stating that he wasn't smart (not the case!) and that he didn't like school. My wife and I were a bit at wits end as to what to do. Additionally, Ohio has a high stakes test at the end of the 3rd grade that every student must pass in order to advance to the 4th grade. Maria really turned that around. She focused on developing strategies that he could implement to succeed at his day to day school work as well as better understand the context of the lessons. Additionally she gave him tools to help with focusing, always a challenge with an 8 yr old boy! Within a few weeks we began to see positive results. By the beginning of the 4th quarter his teachers had noticed a positive change in Robby's behavior and motivation and he achieved an award for academic excellence in the 4th quarter. He stopped saying he couldn't do things and he looked forward to going to school. Oh, and he passed the final exam without issue. We were disappointed that Maria moved to Atlanta as it would have been fabulous to have her work with Robby next year. (Just for context - Maria worked with Robby 2 times a week most weeks and 3 times a week to prep for the final exam from early February through the end of May.)

I am very impressed with how Maria works with kids, she encourages them to do their best.read more
