Great experience with Lopez Landscaping Tree removal…read more Entered my info into their website and received a response the next morning. Michael arrived promptly for our meeting to review the work and provided a quote on the spot, which I found to be very reasonable. They were also able to schedule my preferred day. The crew arrived on time, 8:00AM, and got right to work. This was a big job, and not surprisingly, took all day. Not only did they remove the trees and grind the stumps, they cleaned all the debris from my yard and went to my neighbors to clean up anything that went into their yards, multiple trees were on the fence line. Overall this went great and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Lopez Landscaping for any additional work. Warren in Billerica

They did an excellent job, and we subsequently retained them for annual maintenance. Recently (May 2023), however, when we asked them to help us redesign a portion of our back yard, they hesitated but then finally provided a proposal, which we accepted. Less than a week later, without explanation, we were contacted and told they would not be doing the job and our annual lawn service would be discontinued. Despite several attempts, no further communication or explanation was provided. We don't know if the business is now defunct or if they simply decided they no longer wanted our business. We would have been ok with any reasonable explanation, but the lack of communication is highly unprofessional and frustrating as we now need to find an alternative service provider mid-way through the lawncare season. Contract this company at your own risk.

Every May, my sister sends me a gift certificate for my birthday and I go with a friend on a trip to Weston Nurseries in Hopkinton to kick off the gardening adventure for the year. I love going to Weston Nurseries because they make everyone feel like a garden expert. Their staff are helpful and friendly and if they don't know an answer, they'll find someone who does! I was very pleasantly surprised to see their huge selection of perennials had been laid out alphabetically this year!!!!! No more aimless wandering looking for astilbe in the middle of the hellebores or sedum. The prices are a bit higher than other local shops or big box home improvement stores. However, aside from two of the mini plants I bought from the clearance section that died, I have never been disappointed in the quality of things I've purchased there. Shopping at Weston Nurseries is a wonderful experience!

We have done a lot of work to get the grounds to where they are now, from expanding my irrigation system, construction of fire pits and patio work, to completely transforming two neglected fields into a beautiful lush lawn. Literally ripping up fields and new lawn install from scratch - a ton of work. Nothing beats pulling into my driveway and seeing my lawn looking like a golf course. They even cut perfect lines with the weekly mowes. I receive a lot of compliments on it. His prices are very reasonable and it's nice having a "one stop shop" that can handle literally any outside project that comes to mind. HIGHLY recommend!

I also found Concord messed up when our HOA had them do work around my unit and they threw out a couple hundred dollars of my patio stones and when I tried to follow up about getting reimbursed again it was total silence.

BEWARE! Madrona will not live up to expectations and if you hire them, you'll be left with…read moreheadaches! I hired Madrona in spring of 2021 to install a new paver patio around my pool. While the patio project came out decent (and it should when you spend the cost of a brand new car), they destroyed my yard in the process. Having really nice, manicured grass and landscaping before the project started, I knew my yard would get disturbed by installing the new pool deck, so I made sure to build into the contract scope that allowed Madrona to repair all of the grass to its prior state when the project was done - something the owner, Vicente, agreed to. A year later, Vicente refuses to honor the agreement in the contract and repair my terribly damaged yard that I've had to spend thousands of dollars in materials and my time trying to fix to date. When the project was wrapping up, several days after promised, the Madrona crew was rushing to get to their next job. What resulted was quickly throwing down some unscreened loam, cheap grass seed and no fertilizer. The soil was lumpy and filled with huge rocks which meant the grass didn't grow properly. It wasn't long before I realized just how dangerous the unscreened loam they used was - it was filled with glass, plastic, and other trash - a major safety concern in a yard where young children are barefoot and pets play. Throughout the project, I found Madrona's communication to be lacking. I was often left in the dark with regards to important details, or given updates with no advanced notice. The excavation crew was careless, causing a sizable rip in my pool liner when excavating the old concrete patio - something I had to pay out of pocket to repair with the pool company. Maybe the most alarming issue with the whole project is that the owner didn't take measurements before ordering pavers, and shockingly, they ran out of pavers before they completed the deck. Sort of reckless to not spend 10 minutes up front to take measurements. There are plenty of reputable hardscape companies out there. Do yourself favor and think long & hard before hiring Madrona Bros for your project.
