Hamburger Mary's gave us a good time! We went for brunch on Saturday and I was personally nervous about the fact that we were the only ones there. A party of maybe 8 did come into dine though and more people as time went on. However, I think it's safe to say we all had a blast. I can't remember the exact theme of the show but it involved cartoon characters and was just hilarious and so much fun. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into their performances and they definitely made the birthday girl feel special as well. I ordered the Sassy Brunch Burger with fries and I had no complaints there. However, the food is pretty average which if you're more or less just focused on having a good time, then you'll enjoy or accept it. Do note that there used to be two locations, the other that's now permanently closed was near the water (some pictures of that location still show up in past reviews). The only location now is located downtown Toledo where I believe the only option is street parking. Also, I did not go on the second floor so I don't know what that all might entail. Overall, the service was quick and friendly. The show was a 10/10. The aesthetic and atmosphere is so cute and lively. They also have a full bar fyi. Thank you for a great time, HBM! read more

Had Mary's for early dinner tonight. Great spot! Very friendly staff. Loved my burger ! The spice girl! Like that they make in house pickled peppers. Made the burger very flavorful. Where to begin! Hamburger Mary's is nestled in downtown Toledo... near nothing it seems. The inside is well decorated and clean. Full bar! Everyone was super friendly. Over all service was sorta slow however the entertainment kept you occupied for sure. This place was a fun stop!! If you're looking for a. Ice quiet conversation place, keep looking. It was loud for sure however it was full of fun!! The cheese curds were an ok appetizer. The burgers are good. Plenty of burger options. Our burgers were tasty. Come prepared to tip the queens! They are fun to watch and interact with. They will interact with different tables as they go around. FYI they can be a bit vulgar so if you're not into that don't stop. This was a fun stop for sure. Just not my thing. Went for a friends birthday and had to pay a cover charge to eat dinner here because they had a "show". No the food was decent that everyone had. The problem was it's WAY over priced. I had three drinks and it was half a hundo. Plus the drag show while eating and being loud. They also come up to your table asking for tips during the performance. Just not my cup of tea. I definitely wouldn't go back there. read more

Okay, I had been to the old location a few times and although overpriced, I never had any complaints for the most part, except the customer service at times. I just discovered they moved and was excited to see the new location for myself! I was not disappointed: the ambiance, decorations, SHOW and building itself were immaculate AND everyone was friendly. What I thought was kind of ridiculous was that I had to wait for my food for 2 hours just for the queens to say we would have to pick all of our food up (even if we just got it) and go find a new seat with the hostess........, I had already watched an entire show and been there over 2 hours. I should have had my food and enjoyed the show. Not "enjoy the show, but hey if your food comes afterwards, you may have to move seats for the next guests. Feels quite shitty when everyone in the building has eaten (not an exaggeration) and we're about to get kicked out of our seats. Also, the birthday girl waited over 30 min for her alcohol along with half of our party. I GET YOU HAVE LARGE PARTIES, I've worked in restaurants. But if y'all can't handle large parties all at once, something needs to be done. Overall, thank you but could still be improved. read more

Stopped by the Hamburger Mary's while on a quick trip through Toledo this weekend. My partner and I sat at the bar. This was my first time at a Hamburger Mary's so I was pretty excited. I was left with mixed emotions and pretty underwhelmed. The cocktails were great and the service was fine. I had a Mariah Carey and it was a nicely crafted cocktail. After that I had some beer on draft. We had already eaten dinner but decided to order the Cheese Curds and fried pickles for something to munch on. The curds were great, the pickles were so so. The ambiance itself feels very sterile and not what I had pictured. There was a drag show going on which I normally love (I am part of the LGBT community) but the performers were just ok. It was obvious that they were playing to the mostly straight crowd there and I love that there were families but the show was very boring. Perhaps it's more of a happening place on Fridays or Saturdays but it just left me severely underwhelmed. read more

Came with a group of friends. Only one other table with customers so pretty empty. Service was terrible. Once the other table finished we were the only customers in the restaurant. Took forever to get our orders placed. My sister ordered a frozen margarita and it was terrible. Had to send it back twice to get a drink that was still not very good. Took forever to get our food and 2 of my friends had to wait about 5 minutes after everyone else got their food. They had to sit and wait while the rest of us were already served. Two of my friends ordered chili, neither liked it. I ordered the bird of paradise sandwich which was supposed to have avocado on it but when I got my order there was like a drop of avocado on each half. Well they moved location but they must of found the cheapest location and the furthest away from all the acitivity downtown. I've stopped here several times, food I give a C and drinks I also give a C. when I heard they moved I was hoping the location was closer to the ballfields area where all the action is. I visited some family members over the holiday and my sister-in-law had been raving about this place all year. We were really looking forward to this experience and our visit exceeded all of our expectations. We arrived for Ham Bingo with Gizelle De Veux on a Wednesday and I will recommend this event to everyone I know who is in or will be in the area. Gizelle has amazing crowd work. The timing on everything was met to perfection. It seemed like everyone in the establishment were working together very well. Our server was amazing. Everything was timed perfectly and she knew exactly when to come and ask if everyone was doing well or if we needed anything. The HAMBINGO! winners were brought up on stage to have their moments and Gizelle kept the ball rolling in a fun way. We were all given the option to play a final round or to enjoy a dance performance after the meal. Of course everyone loudly declared that we wanted a dance performance and Gizelle brought the house down! Mind you there were probably only 40 or so customers, it was a Wednesday night, but it was a party. This was a great show. The burgers were a hit with my family members so the name "Hamburger Mary's" passed the test. Burgers are not my thing but my salad was simple and fresh. Just what I wanted after a long holiday of naughty foods ;) I highly recommend my beverage of a Mahoning Valley Moonshine Bloody Mary. Alright, I've heard so much hype about this place, and I was so freaking excited to visit! We went on a Saturday for lunch, and we were, quite literally, the only people in the place. *sad trombone* Listen, I ordered a burger smothered in mushrooms and a side of fries, and both (the fries being a tad overdone) were yummy, but I wish I had understood that there would be ZERO drag queens in attendance at 1pm on a Saturday. Sure, as I type that out loud, it makes sense because 1PM ON A SATURDAY, but still, was sorta let down. Our table did face a window overlooking the river, so there's that. Alright - let's focus on the main emphasis this is a really cheeky restaurant with entertainment that you may not see outside of this chain or Las Vegas. I took my college (Go Rockets!) daughter and her roommate and we laughed and cheered for over an hour. The show was cheeky without going too raunchy and it was fun to celebrate other tables' birthdays and wedding engagements. The food, our burgers and fries were good if unspectacular. Cooked per order and vegetables / toppings seemed fresh. The mac and cheese was a disappointment but it's not called MacNcheese Mary's. The staff both wait and entertainment were friendly, full of energy and prompt. First time experiencing Hamburger Mary's last night with a friend. The atmosphere was much different than I expected. It was very light and airy with a lot of hustle and bustle. Drinks were good. I had the Pink Mary because I'm a "fruity" drink kinda girl. Appetizer was onion rings which were perfect, followed by entrees of the Hamburger Mary (I took half home because it was so big) and a BLT. Both were good, but my burger was not cooked properly and the bottom of the bun was soaked in grease. Had deep fried twinkies for dessert just to bust the calorie intake fully...delicious.
