I attended my tasting on a Wednesday afternoon. This particular tasting was a BYOB (bring your own baby)! It was an awesome opportunity for moms to get together with their babies, de stress from motherhood over a couple glasses of wine. I however, did not have a baby (as I was solo traveling) and was welcomed widely by the staff and all the moms. I even got to hold a few babies lol. This tasting was extremely affordable we were offered 4 wines throughout the 3 hours as well as small bites for £25 . The staff were extremely extremely knowledgeable and true experts at their craft. They talked extensively about the wines, their origin, ways to pair, fermentation and more! Their passion really allowed for a good experience. As a solo traveler in London looking for a fun midday midweek activity I was left extremely impressed and happy! Highly recommend.

I've only been in there once but the wine they recommended for our pasta was rich and the perfect compliment. The staff (I've only met one but she talks very personally and highly of the owner too) really know their wine and are proper extroverts. They'll recite a novel for you on their wine selection so you can find exactly what you're looking for. They really pride themselves on vintage wines. They have done a great job of networking with and seeking out very unique, kind of "indie" wines. One of the coolest things about this shop, and something I have yet to experience, are their wine tasting events. Occasionally they will invite a wine maker to promote his wine and offer free tasting. For a list of their events, visit: http://www.thewinetastingshop.co.uk/calendar I can't wait to attend one and after I do I'll be sure to give an update to this review.

The first thing to arrest me when walking in though was the broad range of ales and beers to the left of the door. Breweries from near (Sadlers, Stourbridge) and far (Flying Dog, Maryland, USA) are represented and the prices at times are lower than you'd find in major supermarkets. A lot of the beers are at the high end of the alcohol scale, and that's how I like 'em. Flying Dog's Horn Dog at 10% is a powerful Barley Wine style beer with flavours galore. The crazed rhino-cum-canine creature that adorns the label is what you might turn into after a few of these. (Luckily, you know that craft beer is to be adored in moderation though, dontcha?) I always treat my self to a basket of beers when I'm in Leamington for my hair-do, and today is no exception. By the long list of fruit flavours on the Sadlers' Hop Bomb label, I was expecting a taste explosion that I didn't quite get, though I can forgive them as they make my beer-of-the-moment Mud City Stout, (brewed with cocoa and vanilla; once tasted it makes Guinness taste like the 'Carling of the stouts'.) Curious IPA does hits the mark though with a balance of three different hops. Joining it in the basket is the amazing Belgian Cookie (Speculoos) Beer, and of course the mighty Anchor Porter from San Fran's long standing brewery that your reviewer proudly shares his birth year with. As well as wine and beer, there are cocktail supplies too like rhubarb, orange, vanilla and Angustora bitters, and miniatures of high end spirits like Grey Goose vodka and Hendrick's gin so you can try a little before you buy a lottle.

Now that I live (temporarily) in Leamington, it was definitely worth a look at the Royal Pump…read moreRooms. The Pump Rooms use to house the water therapy bathing facilities for people. But now that the bathing facilities are gone, the Warwick District Council converted it into a different areas: an Art Gallery and Museum, Library, Visitor Centre, Cafe and Assembly rooms. For simplicity sake, I will talk about each area separately. **Art Gallery and Museum** Admission is free. The Art Gallery is located on one level and the Museum is on two levels. I didn't expect too much from the Museum but I did like reading about the history of Leamington and town's birth. The Leamington artifacts, and the old pump rooms paraphernalia is worth a look. Lots of hands on activities for children, too. **Library** The library is quaint and holds quite the book selection. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and I was able to get a library card quickly without issue. Please be aware that you do have to show proof of address before getting a library card. I also like that their electronic checkout machines! Wow, super easy to use! BBC Coventry and Warwickshire Radio are also located inside, right near the entrance. They make it easy to get books on loan from other libraries on line, or asking the librarians. **Visitor Centre** Pretty much as its name implies there are loads of pamphlets of the surrounding areas, along with some cute gifts. I grabbed some "To Do" booklets about Cambridge, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and the Cotswold's from here. I also seriously considering buying a few British things to send back to the family in California. **Cafe and Assembly Rooms** The Cafe is open everyday, but with shorter hours on Sunday. It's directly across the Visitor Centre and Library you can't miss it. I've tried their organic green tea and Mediterranean pannini which is quite nice, all for under £8. I wasn't too impressed with their coffee, but I'm a bit of a coffee snob. There is also a menu board with their specials and typical British cuisine like Yorkshire pudding and cakes. The large assembly room holds local events, one that we got to visit was an amazing wine tasting! Aside from food in the cafe, everything is free to explore. Check it out!

This is, in fact, an art gallery, tourist information centre, cafe and library. I haven't been in the art gallery (though it is free and they do a guided talk on a Friday), but the library is very good. It is open long hours, including Sundays, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The selection of books is good, and they can get other titles from other libraries if you can't find what you are looking for. They also have a large number of computers that you can use to access the internet. Once a month they run a 'bounce and rhyme' session for babies and toddlers, which is very successful and enjoyable.
