Of course everyone here in Knoxville know them by their amazing LEMON Cookies... though the food is equally amazing ! The bread on both our sandwiches was to die for! Mine was sourdough , my friend had the wheat. I had the Oasis (?) Turkey, ham, 2 kinds of cheese and I added bacon. It was terrific! I discovered they now have gluten free cookie line as well. So I bought 4 cookies as a gift for another friend, she was in heaven with those chocolate chip cookies. With your food order you get a cookie of your choice! Stopped in here for lunch today awesome little place staff was very friendly. It was my friends first time going there and they give a free cookie for the first time going there. Philly cheesesteak- Awesome flavor the cheesesteak was good. I just want to start off this review with the positives. The cookies are amazing, I love the lemon cookies here so much! My family ALWAYS gets them, so I just wanted to stop by to grab some. I walk in the door and there's a white middle aged guy in front of me, the girl at the register is very nice to him. I get my order and she like turns and then gives me the nastiest stare ever, and she just goes "What do you want." in the snarkiest voice ever. I just thought maybe she was having a bad day, so I carry on with my order. When I'm finished ordering she just slams my order on the counter and goes like "Do you need anything else?" again in a snarky voice. I ask for some napkins and she audibly groans in my face, and throws some at me. I take my order, leave, and another person (white) walks past me to the register. She immediately is nice again, and completely switches from how she treated me. I am a dark tanner skinned Latina, so I'm used to this treatment. So I binged..I behaved for too long and broke when I heard it was a lemon cookie. Their lemon cookies are so addicting. Everything else was eh. I had probably had a dozen of lemon cookies that day along with a few peanut butter cookies and one chocolate chip cookie. The cookies are very fragile and break into pieces after one bite. I also had a nibble of the brownie and eh. It was too mushy. I loved that their were tiny pieces of nuts in the brownie but the texture was no appealing. You could imagine how gross I felt after eating all those cookies - it was a stressful day and I tricked myself to believe it helped. WORSE decision ever. Stopping by early on a Saturday morning for scram-bowls or breakfast sandwiches before we head out for errands or fun stuff is a regular practice for us, and sometimes we ride our bikes over to grab picnic fixings to take with us as we continue on the greenway. Ham'n Goodys is really goody. I seriously drive across town for these goody goodies. Everyone raves about the lemon cookies. Well....believe it! They are sooo scrumptious! I can honestly say that I have never tasted anything like it. The lemon flavor is distinctive and the glaze has a smooth finish. If you like soft and chewy cookies then you'll love these. At $1 a pop you'll be glad you did. I'm also a big fan of the tea cakes. Actually, I like these more than the lemon cookies. At $3-4 per cookie they are expensive but totally worth every penny. The tea cakes have a rich almond flavor and taste like wedding cake. Oh the butter is just decadent and melts in your mouth like heaven! You can get the tea cookie glazed or unglazed. I prefer unglazed. They close at 2 on Saturdays and are not open Sundays. I haven't tried the food menu here (weekdays only) and the service has always been fine. If you need cookies, come here. Get the lemon cookies. Sure, you can try the other cookies, but the lemon cookies are the best, so get a lemon cookie!! Their sandwiches are salads are good, but the cookies are better. My favorite for lunch is the TBC sandwich, and I add avocado when they have it. Mmmm so delicious. The staff and owners are very nice. There's usually a line, so be prepared for that! Most of the time I take it to go, but I've had good there too when I've been lucky enough to get a table! I'd say the only thing I'd improve are, I'd have them start making their own fresh potato chips. They served bagged chips, which my kids love, I just know that whatever they'd make would be fresher and more delicious than LAYS! BELIEVE THE HYPE - GO GET A LEMON COOKIE. This place has gone down hill. Your grill has been broken for a month. If you can't get it fixed, go to Walmart and grab two Panini machines and use those until you get it fixed. They can't deliver because their car is stuck in the snow. Can't get any help to get the car out? Pour salt around it or underneath the tires. Poor management clearly. Okay, so I have to be honest, I've only ever had their lemon cookies. A friend told me about them and the story of how the guy who was at the space station for a year wanted them "shipped" to him. My husband is a big fan of lemon so I thought I'd surprise him with the cookies. I'm not a huge cookie fan so I figured I wouldn't be impressed. Wrong! These cookies are the perfect lemon flavor and the texture is a lite crunch that melts in your mouth. This place is not really known for its lunch even though they do sell sandwiches and salads. They have a pasta salad that rocks. This is the place in town that sells my favorite red velvet cake! You can buy whole cakes for a birthday and they are amazing! The also have cookies, the lemon in particular are everyones favorite. My dad takes several dozen to work every so often and his clients absolutely love them! They sell the cake by the slice if you get there early enough. Check them out! NO Lemon Flavor in the Lemon Cookies anymore. Ham n' Goodies has ruined their lemon cookie. The whole point of these once delicious cookies was that they had a definite tangy lemon glaze. For a while now, unfortunately, all you can taste is a heavy powdered sugar glaze. I bought a couple dozen for a family Birthday and all of us were disappointed and asking why they ruined what was once a great cookie. Time to change the name to "Sugar Glaze Cookies". Ms. Cathy and Ms. Justine made us feel welcome the instant we arrived. We each enjoyed a cookie (one lemon and one chocolate chip) while we waited on our breakfast. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on sourdough was perfectly toasted, with a generous portion of bacon. We also picked up a huge caramel-glazed pound cake, which we can't wait to enjoy. The selection of yummy baked treats is impressive. We can't wait to return! There is very limited seating, well-spaced out in light of COVID-19. Ham & Goody's serves the community with cheer all year long, but especially during this unusual holiday season. We can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I have had the pasta salad, which Mary T noted, and yes, it is awesome. This being said, the baked goods are why you stop by Ham 'n Goodys, specifically the lemon cookies. They are, without a doubt, the very best that I have ever had. They're full of flavor, sour and sweet at the same time. Unlike many cookies, they have a distinct lemon flavor, and not the fake kind. The cakes are pretty good too, as are the other cookies. The one warning I would give, get there early if you want multiple cookies! They often run out kinda early if it's busy. read more
