Payments now can be over time instead of one lump sum, which is hard for most to make. There are varied groups (book club, art club, etc) for the kids to participate in and Missi also has special sport camps offered for add'l costs for the kids to participate in. The facility is very large & clean and has an upstairs. The kids are allowed there when it is raining for movies. Overall, they are outside doing activities (sports, gardening, caring for small animals) and sometimes inside (basketball / dodgeball / soccer) . You need to pack your own lunches. Small snacks are now included. Per my children, the counselors are nice and even "cool." The only down side is that the days are LONG. My kids (on the older end now) get bored. Overall, a bare bones camp where your children will be safe, which really is priority #1 for me.

For a school trip on June 3, I was there as a chaperone for my kids.. well later on in the day, there was this one lifeguard. not sure of her name but she wore glasses and had blonde hair, skinny and tall. This lifeguard is a monster! She should be fired. First off, she wasn't doing her job and said to the children "yo, stop splashing me, go move somewhere else" in a rude tone acting like getting wet isn't part of her job. Second there were kids almost drowning and she did nothing about it, instead she yelled at kids for sitting on the ledge of the pool and when my daughter responded with just an "okay", she flipped out and told her to get out of the pool for giving an attitude, then when my daughter and her friends were passing by, she called them fat acting like that won't have an impact on their self image.. how could a worker be like that? How horrible.. not only that but the place is dirty and infested with bugs, there were bugs flying all over and in the bathroom there were roaches.. they don't clean at all and the curtains were easy to see in.. I don't recommend going here for just that reason, but the other workers were nice, just not that bimbo lifeguard not doing her job..

A lot of seasonal campers here and everyone waived as they walked by and were friendly. Very large pool, but the weather turned cool. Easy 15 minute bike ride to Egg Harbor Train Station, where you can park your bike or bring it on board. 20 minute ride to Atlantic City, one hour to Philadelphia...if you don't have a car. Would stay again!

Also, before they started camp; I verbally explained their issues and was told that it wouldn't be a problem because they had a severely autistic child already there & they would be supervised by their counselor. They emailed, texted & complained every day. I shadowed the most autistic child one day, and he was fine, the other child splashed water & was told to stop. Lastly, I gave them a $40 personal check for additional snacks, later to find out they didn't receive them bc they weren't on the list. Never, Ever will I let my kids suffer through that again. I think they are scammers.

The Director Seema told us that since he is crying a lot, the teacher is unable to concentrate on other kids and wanted us to drop him. The director told us the my kid is not mentally prepared or matured and he is crying a lot and doesn't understand what we were talking and also said he was very anxious. However, my kid went there only for twice a week and he went there just for four days. He was dropped from the playschool in just four days and they didn't even wanted us to try my kid out for a month at least. We in fact requested them to increase from twice a week to four days week or at least thrice a week so that he has some continuity. They declined this too. Shouldn't they have given enough time for my kid to settle down? But they didn't given enough time for my kid to settle down and insisted on dropping my kid from the playschool just because he was crying. They should have in fact tried to instill some confidence to parents but they didn't. When they dropped my kid, I requested them to refund the registration fees at least. Why would someone want to pay the registration fees when they drop a kid in playschool in just four days. They said the registration fees can't be refunded as well. They are totally unprofessional and I felt very stressed out as a parent leaving my kid in this playschool. The main problem is that the school is understaffed and there is only one teacher for 10 students.

After growing from a baby into a toddler, I knew I had to review TLC in new eyes and see if it was the place for my daughter. Just because it was a good place for her as a baby doesn't mean it was the place I wanted her to be as she grew through her toddler years... From the time she was 2-2 1/2 years old, she was coming home teaching me Spanish words and doing rolls and such she learned in Kick n' Flips, an add-on class offered by TLC. She is well versed with her numbers and even though she has yet to graduate to a pre-school class- she will this year- at TLC, they began teaching her those subjects early. She is learning how to swim as well thanks to TLC's pool open during the warm months. She rode a pony, petted farm animals, exercised in baby yoga classes (included in the tuition), created all sorts of textured and spatial art. She was exposed to different types of music, and danced her little heart out. I know she danced as well as other activities because they continue to post pictures of her and the other children attending TLC on Facebook. I love being able to go on to Facebook during the day and be surprised with a picture of her doing something or just smiling at the camera from that same day. I am searching here in Oregon for a place that will be as good for her as a child growing into her school-age years as TLC was. I haven't found a place that had such a small child-to-teacher ratio. And it was very helpful to be able to drop her off as early as 6:30 in the morning because as a nurse I often have to be at work at odd hours of the day. Then there is the small factor that wouldn't seem so important, the way TLC adds and rotates toys and structures with which the children play. The staff continues to be competent, patient, and intelligent. I have visited several places here and I have yet to find a home-away-from-home like Lena had since she was 6 months old.

This is a family owned business so you know you'll always get a warm welcome and friendly service. The campground is located just west of LBI & makes for a quick drive for some fun in the ocean. It's more of a resort type place I would say, it's like run out get what you need & just chill out, enjoy your time with family and friends by the pool of campfire.
