The professional tone of the school is set the moment you arrive, where we are greeted by Mr. Hassan every morning. His presence at the secure buzz-in entry door makes the start of each day feel safe and welcoming. Upon entering the pre-K wing, the environment is always clean and inviting, with bulletin boards and displays updated regularly to showcase the seasons. This high level of organization is a direct testament to the leadership of the Center Director, Ms. Simpson, whose clear systems and procedures ensure the school is well-managed. Working alongside her, Ms. Collins does a fantastic job managing the administrative side, ensuring all student records are updated and that family communications and event reminders are posted in a timely fashion. Anytime I have reached out to any of the staff members, my calls and requests have been handled with a prompt, professional response. The entire staff is incredibly loving, and that warmth is felt every day in the calm, orderly atmosphere of the classroom. My son is greeted warmly every morning by his teachers and classmates, fostering a strong sense of belonging that has been wonderful to witness. One of the many highlights of our experience has been the teaching team of Mrs. Nichols and her assistant, Ms. Shelly. Together, they are a fantastic pair who maintain a classroom that is both joyful and project-based. We loved that the curriculum focuses on hands-on projects, which kept our son excited about learning every single day. For working parents, the before and after care programs are an added convenience that we truly appreciated. Furthermore, Mrs. Nichols provides weekly homework that helped us build our son's skills together at home, and the school's use of IXL and the Teaching Strategies app provided us with excellent resources to extend learning beyond the classroom. I especially valued how connected I felt to his progress through the regular photos and videos the teachers post, allowing us to see his engagement in real-time. Between the excellent classroom instruction and the fun field trips, our son has grown significantly in his social, emotional, and academic development. We are so grateful to Ms. Simpson, Ms. Collins, Mr. Hassan, Mrs. Nichols, Ms. Shelly, and Ms. Reham for making these last two years so memorable. I love that the model is to teach students new techniques each week but let them create whatever they want. I was creatively deprived before I took this series and it immediately made me happier to have this outlet each week. I called the Art Center in Fairmount (it was only one location at that point) and spoke to Ms. Jill, explained that my daughter was a new 4 and I was concerned about leaving her. She nicely told me get over it and I would be fine (of course she didn't say that), she reassured me that she would be safe and have fun..after the first class, my daughter was hooked; it doesn't hurt that they get to color on the mirrors in the studio. Throughout the years my daughter has taken numerous classes at the Fairmount and Queen Village Centers, in addition to "Date Night", which you drop your child off for a couple hours and pick them up, I believe around 10pm; they feed them, they go to the gym, and of course do art. Not only are they doing art, the children learn about artists and how and why things are done. I believe the regular classes were about 90 minutes for children. There are general art classes but most of them have a theme or time period that they focus on; one of her favorite classes was pottery. Numerous adult classes and birthday parties are also offered. Recently my daughter started back at the Art Center for drop-in camp. Seeing Ms. Jill for the first time in years was the highlight of our day. While she is the owner, she is fully invested in the children and it shows by how much my daughter loves her! For camp, the campers get creative so it is recommended your child comes in play clothes and sneakers because the do go to the park; before-care and after-care is available. Over the years, due to scheduling conflicts we were unable to attend regularly, but anytime I hear someone talk about their children loving art, I always recommended the Art Center! Ms. Jill and her staff are amazing, now with an addition location in Cherry Hill, NJ! You go girl!!!

My youngest son has been attending Just Children since he was 18 months old. From day one, he was welcomed into a warm and nurturing environment. His lead teachers have been consistent. No turn overs like mentioned in other posts. To speak directly to the program, his day to day is a well-thought out mix of age appropriate activities, learning and free play. At 3 years old, he has already been taught his letters and numbers, and can read and write them, too! Throughout the day, I am provided text message video and photos, which makes me feel like I am still a part of what is going on! I love seeing his activities each day! There are a variety of enhancements my child receives at Just Children, which he didn't get at other centers. Touchscreen computers, Spanish lessons, and offerings for sports or dance classes! The staff at Just Children is well educated, friendly and warm. They care about my son - really, they do, and keep me updated on his progress. The other review I read mentioned something about a problem with communication at Just Children. As a parent of a child currently in the program, I couldn't disagree more. The director of the school has an OPEN office at the reception area. She greets the parents as they come in, and knows each child by name. The lead teachers in the room keep me informed about my child's day to day progress, and each evening I receive a communication from the teacher with notes, food, etc. They will even remind me of upcoming events, or if there was an issue my child had that day (this is never a surprise -- I'm always aware prior to the email). In my honest opinion, I wouldn't think to put my child in any other daycare center in the area. They say that actions speak louder than words...so I will also say that Just Children is so amazing that I have THREE neighbors who also send their children there. In fact, they are the ones who referred me to the center. Their children have all been attending since they were infants -- and most are now 4! Thank you, Just Children, for taking such amazing care of my child! You make a working mom feel so comfortable leaving their baby each day.

She has had a wonderful learning experience there and I credit her teachers for the warm and caring environment in which all the students are learning. The children learn everything from personal responsibility and life skills to learning how to read and write, developing a strong foundation in math skills, and an understanding of the world around us through social studies, geography, and science. The students enjoy weekly lessons in Spanish, cooking, gym, art, music, and more. The students also experience at least two field trips during the school year, playing in the snow (as long as they bring appropriate snow gear), Bike Day at the end of each month, a few celebrations, such as International Day where families come in and teach the students about their heritage. CMS encourages family involvement, whether it's participating in special events or coming in to teach a lesson. Families may be as involved as they choose to be and aren't pressured to do more than they can give. Cornerstone Montessori also offers before- and after-school care for working parents like us and three 2-week summer sessions. The summer sessions are great for parents who would like to check out the school and see if it is right for their child as well as for students who are already enrolled to maintain the skills they have developed during the school year and continue on their learning path. The summer sessions are more relaxed and additional fun activities are scheduled. We are so pleased with our experience at Cornerstone Montessori, and we are sure you will be, too. It's very well through out and I enjoyed participating with my little lady. I've also hosted her 3 year old party here and the staff is wonderful in helping setting up and keeping the pace with leading the games to shuttling the kids out to have their pizza and cake! I highly recommend taking a class here. There is also a drop off class that we hope to take when she is a bit older! Miss Hayley and Mr. Zach are the best!
