This is the BEST place for your kids!…read more Dr. David has been working with our 9-year-old son for about 3+ months providing Functional Neurology. Functional Neurology was introduced to us by Dr. David, and it has greatly enhanced our son's life. Some of the improvements we are seeing in our son are increased processing speed, expansion of core energy, stronger muscles and deeper awareness of his body and mind. I must say he has become goofier (i.e., less anxious) too, which I translate as "Mom, I feel more relaxed and life feels more fun, interesting and full". Strong body, strong mind! I agree wholeheartedly. We look forward to working with Dr. David further because we believe strategic stimulation of the brain and body will accelerate the adequate growth of our son's body and mind. Dr. David is very thorough, innovative, flexible and attentive. He genuinely takes joy in seeing his patients reach their goals. The office is modern, clean and the staff are friendly. I highly recommend Dr. David if you are looking for a skilled chiropractor and/or Functional Neurology for your kids. My husband has been seeing Dr. David for more than a year for his own back issues. Needless to say, he is very satisfied with the treatment.

Island Wellness fortunately accepted my insurance with Premera, so I made an appointment to give it a shot. Though I haven't been in any accidents to require therapy, work-related stress and day-to-day activities caused a lot of tension so it seemed only logical to get a massage before popping lots of ibuprofen. Visai was assigned as my massage therapist and he was great - one key thing to note is that he took into consideration that it had been years since I had a massage, and so being sensitive was critical for my re-introduction back to the massage table. I left feeling relieved, but not sore - just what I wanted. I went in for a second time (this one with more pressure!) and nearly fell asleep during the massage! So relaxing. Now I just need to remember to bring cash for tips on my next visits.

Dr. Yu is an amazing doctor, matter of fact, he is a savior…read more I came to Dr. Yu for my neck and other health issues. I started going because my wife is into acupuncture so I gave it a try. I came for my neck issue as I usually suffer this as an office worker. For reference, I suffer stiff necks twice or thrice a month. After coming to Dr. Yu, it took about two to three sessions and after the third, my stiff neck went away and now, I do not experience any stiff necks and it has been 4 months now free of pain. I now go to him for my other health issues and so far, I see and feel the difference. I can just say that I feel "lighter" and just generally happier after having sessions with him. Dr. Yu is very thorough with his examination: he asks the right questions as well as give suggestions that are so easy to follow, it is almost impossible to not do them. When it comes to the actual acupuncture, you can just tell he is very experienced at the needle placement since he places them so effortlessly. Dr. Yu's personality is also what makes him a great doctor. He is always happy and full of great energy; you can feel it and by osmosis, you become happy and energetic as he is. Great doctor and great human being.

I've had chronic, acute low back pain for over 10 years. I've tried pretty much everything short of…read moresurgery. I started going to Robert Weinstein 3 months ago. My back pain has improved by 95%! I was able to eliminate the mega-doses of Tylenol I was taking for pain. I've also been working with Robert on incorporating some herbal remedies to help with my asthma and hay fever. I've been able to reduce the usage of a cortico-steroid inhaler I take for asthma, and have reduced the dosage of some other medications I use for my upper respiratory allergies. From a woman's perspective, I have always found Robert's demeanor to be respectful, gentle, and professional at all times. I feel very comfortable with him. He listens when I describe my symptoms and is never dismissive. When I had a setback early on in my treatment, I could tell he was frustrated, but it wasn't directed at me. I think he was more frustrated that the treatment itself wasn't working in that particular instance. We talked about it, and agreed to incorporate moxa into the treatment. It's been very successful. My recovery has been of the "2 steps forward/1 step back" variety, but overall I've been very pleased with my progress. I'm so grateful to Robert for helping me resolve my long-term chronic back pain!

Robert Weinstein is thoroughly unprofessional in his behavior and in his communication. For…read moreexample, as I was laying face down on the treatment table, he unhooked my bra (instead of simply asking me to take off my bra before he came in, as every other professional working on my back has done), which is both inappropriate and invasive. Additionally, instead of getting consent for this, he says, "And now I'll unhook your bra..." This is just creepy, for lack of a better word. As for communication difficulties, he was arrogant and rude to me when I told him his professional recommendations are not compatible with my lifestyle - I was interested in working out some type of alternative treatment plan, but instead he became defensive, rude, and acted as if I didn't care about my own health. His bedside manner is horrific, and he appears so arrogant that it took me aback. I am a paying customer, and his actions (and even his words in his new patient documents) show that he truly believes his time is more valuable and more important than his clients' time. Very, very, very disappointed. This is the worst experience I've had with a medical "professional." I originally came to him for help with my back pain because of his glowing reviews. My back pain did not improve, and I later found out through a friend who saw him for a brief period of time that he practically harasses his clients to write Yelp reviews for this practice. Such bad practice, but at least I understand where all of these positive reviews are coming from. Who wants to write a bad review for someone who is sticking needles in their body? Do not go here. RUN the other way.

I found Dr. Asaturov when I was looking for a chiropractor close to my office…read more I've been to a few chiropractors downtown and had disappointing experiences. Like when a chiropractor focuses more on selling you a package of visits than actually treating your ailments. Often times I felt like cattle when I saw previous chiropractors. I would get an exaggerated diagnosis of my physical condition, then was told I need to buy 36 visits to make ensure I got better--because somehow they knew exactly how many visits it would take me to fix my issues. Then I'd go to my appointments and get the three common adjustments and be sent on my way after two or three minutes. Neck adjustment, hip adjustment, back adjustment--visit over. Dr. Asaturov is everything I was looking for in a chiropractor. His adjustments are the best I've ever had. All because he actually pays attention to my body, instead of just going through the motions. Every time I get an adjustment I get up off the table and can stand up straighter, and walk with less pain. The tension in my upper back gets an immediate release. If I have a migraine and get an adjustment, its severity will be cut in half. It's amazing. Amazing. I trust Dr. Asaturov with my body, he's the only chiropractor that's improved my mobility and pain-- and the only on that actually cared about my progress. He's not a salesman--he's an effective, empathetic doctor. I'm happy to have found him, and I refer him to all my family and friends. I highly recommend him.

It hurts so good. May or may not leave with bruises but I will take it if I means better range of motion and I am not constantly bothered! She genuinely cares about her patients and has pretty good hours. I work a regular 9-6pm job so I appreciate that her earliest appointments start at 8am. I will say she has a ton of clients so sometimes the appointments don't start on time, but at least she has roller machines that feel super good and help to pass the time. She sells a few products like the Denne roll and Pillowwise that are supposed to be good for spine alignment, and I think as a dedicated patient who wants to feel better, it's hard to refuse buying these items. I do wish those could be covered by insurance but not sure she has control over that. The cash plan is not bad, I believe it is about $250 for 6 visits. Since my deductible is so high I choose to go this route.

In the course of this exploration, I happened upon a referral for Dr. Bartlett. Good thing I did, 'cause not long after I re-injured a several year old slipped disc. Four visits later, my back is about 80% back to normal. I have no doubt I wouldn't be this far along in 10 days were it not for him. For what it's worth, he's wicked fast about the mechanics of the back and may be a bit over the top for some people with his talk of "rebooting" the brain back to a memory of before you were injured. He also wasn't afraid to drop an f-bomb during one of my visits; we were talking about naked hippies in the Solstice Parade. He mentioned he was from Boston, so he's either imported some of that city's charm or has a penchant for recognizing what patients do/not appreciate when treating them. Hint: I wish all my doctors would swear and tell stories with nudity. I can't believe he handles all his own scheduling. Old school. Or is that even a school? Who cares. A+
